  1. Speaking of neutral. When Takemikazuchi uses his D lightning and chains it on us. Anyone know any ideas on how to not get air grabbed by him? Or do we have to just take it...
  2. Usually for me I just zone him out a majority of the neutral. Though once I can latch an SB Maziodyne on him, I rush in. Though I keep my distance so that 5B can hit since IIRC his FA won't take effect on us. Using 214 A or B also seems to work well in catching Kanji off guard. So basically stay close in so that you can confirm a combo. But not too close so that he can use a grab on you.
  3. That's... kind of your only option if he super jumps... But if that's the case you can easily run up to him or set something up by the time Adachi comes back down. SB Maziodynes are really fun to use in those cases. * v *
  4. I'm not really sure if it's just me... but do a lot of Margaret players seem to rely on her A.O.A. for any mix-up? Honestly I've seen quite a few simply spam the move out of wakeup like it's written in the instruction manual for them to do that. Surprisingly it doesn't take too long to grow used to, and the recovery is enough for me to set up a good combo (4k pre-awakened).
  5. *This is assuming the both of you are at fullscreen and Labrys runs, jumps and uses J.B. on top of you* ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Usually whenever she uses J.B. and I use 2B, the two moves clash and I can use J.C. It might not work all the time, especially if the Labrys is hitting at just the tip of the hitbox. But that seems to be an effective way. Perfect guarding also helps since you get enough time to come up and throw them or do whatever you want. Refuse to not DP? As in the Labrys's you meet still DP a lot on wake-up? I haven't met a single Labrys player yet tbh. Which is kinda understandable and sad at the same time...
  6. I myself haven't used Mahamaon, let alone Mudoon since I haven't quite learned and adjusted to Elizabeth's new methods of combos. Even more awkward is my neutral game right now. I panicked and act like when I first started playing. Especially when pitted against the new characters. Training with the Google docs combo list you guys made. Would it be okay if I could create a bond with any of your PSN accounts as sparring partners? (Even though I play terribly as of the moment)
  7. FINALLY GOT THE GAME!!! Oh Teddie Bop Bag, how you make my giggle. Idk she seems more agile to me. Though I can definitely see that D nerd everyone's been talking about. Since I'm kinda starting all over again with the ranked matches I haven't exactly met an opponent who's been a really challenging foe yet. But I hope I can play against you guys to maybe catch up with the pace (And to see if I'm any close to your skill levels). Also is Diarahan not cancelable from Maragidyne anymore? I used to do that all the time when I played Lizzie and was low.
  8. Whoa... 0_0 Um... I hope you have a safe recovery. *Pat pat hugs* Speaking of these alternate routes does J. C work as an OMC route either? And since the properties of the moves are different now, I really don't know what kind of combos players can use if an enemy's caught by the pressure. Anyone got an example?,? Well I guess I could check the combo thread real quick
  9. What would be a good example of the last thing you just said Omnix?,?
  10. In a way, it kinda sounds like Adachi is an alternate Elizabeth but without the status ailments part since he needs the Magatsu buff to inflict anything. (And that's only achievable when he's in awakening as I've heard). Though I guess the tradeoff is he has more health and can make some intense cross ups/pressure. But lacks the Invigorate passive that us Elizabeth players possess to continue it for a long time.
  11. Well it is Yukiko so I wouldn't blame you with the better zoning power she has along with those nasty unblockable set-ups... Not to worry too much. It's not a fatal mistake since that IS a part of Elizabeth's fighting style. Only reason I say it is because I myself have set up my own snares (aka Persona breaks) which has indirectly forced me to learn to react on neutral when Thanny-poo's tuckered out from getting hit. I'm even more flattered that my critique was actually taken consideration since I thought I was just running with words that came up my arse to be honest. (@//A\\@);; Attempting to take Zealous's burst though? That's an intriguing idea actually... Though like you said, the results proved to make the resources used to be all for naught. But I'll be taking that into note... A very very interesting trick...
  12. *Mabufudyne
  13. Well hey Elochai's been doing well with Lizzie on tournaments (you can already see my newfound Sensei-like respect for him). The matches he posted on the video and critique threads are some pretty sick stuff. They seem perform-able for ME of all people who can hardly do crap with character's like Carl or Arakune from Blazblue. Whom are supposedly just a little tough to learn. (Not saying the stuff he did wasn't amazing though. '3') Edit: Ack... Tapatalk is weird when you try quoting... Let meh fix that up
  14. Indeed Zephy, applying at least the buffs or the fear status is already a bit of a hassle to perform. So does ASW have to finish it off by giving us a grab that's noticeable and easy to dodge too!? @_@ I was wondering also for combos like: 5A > 5AA > 2AB > 236CD [2] > 2A > 2B > jc jB > jA > jC > 2A > 5B > 5C (2) > 2C > 214AB > 214D > 2AB what would the tiny jc exactly mean? Does it mean it needs to be whiffed to continue the combo as it is?
  15. Gonna be honest as a disclaimer: I honestly don't know if I have any right to add any critique since I by no means am any close to the skill level you guys have. So you have the liberty to call whatever I say as complete and total BS. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st match: The first round you reacted accordingly to all the set-ups Yukiko tried to pull on you, your reactions were spot-on and the your respect to her fans is quite apparent. Execution in combos were perfect, and the Maziodynes you sneaked in on her were impeccable. I liked how you snuck in that poison on Yukiko with the Maragidyne<Sweep ending combo and your pressure I admit was surprisingly... pressuring! Second Round was kinda... hard for me to understand since you caught Yukiko with a 5C but followed with a 5D that you couldn't get her with. You also caught Yukiko again with a J.5B though I think you missed an opportunity for a cute little combo when that happened. Can't say I know what was going on with that ONE MORE! that popped up when you got to catch Yukiko with a 5AA Though I got to see the true extent of your Thanny-poo pressure here! (I didn't even know 5D did... whatever that was but I'mma try to see how that happened). Overall: Your dominance this match was what shined on and granted your well-earned victory. = ) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2nd match: I think here, Zealous started to figure you out. And as a good friend of mine says "The moment you become predictable is the moment you'll lose" or somethin' like that... The first round was where Yukiko started to really rush you down to hell. I did notice you inflicted fear and tried 5D on her. I was thinking maybe a regular grab would've done the job much better but again (the disclaimer). It's quite obvious that Zealous knew that you would react a bit more meekly with that Fire Break buff flowing on Yukiko half the round which I think was what led to the SB Maziodyne that came outta nowhere. I'm not saying that there wasn't any reason for you to act a bit more cowardice though but I noticed your entire demeanor completely changed as soon as Fire Break was dispatched which I believe was what granted Zealous his victory. Second Round ... I feel like that was the exact same beginning as the first round but only with you getting to break her Persona from the correct guesses... XD That throw was simply marvelous though, ended up being the one thing that gave you the round. Well, that and the fact that Zealous acted prematurely and performed Dia which hammered the final nail in Yukiko's coffin. Third Round I'm not exactly sure if you're able to block maragi in midair when it sprouts up exactly so I'll leave that... Edit: So from the 3rd match you were able to block it so...... I'm even more confused on how that connected... That Furious Attack sadly was what gave the round a fast loss for you what with your back being at the combo and Yukiko having Fire Break ready to give you an unblockable. It was the only way though since you would've been caught by her J.A. [Actually... maybe it might've gone better if you got caught by it? That or a burst maybe would've made the match go on a better route for you since I don't think Zealous could have been able to followed up with a combo (unless it was a counter or Fatal Counter which probably was the case...)]. Ultimately I believe that this match was handed down to Zealous since he was 1)Able to apply pressure to you with that Fire Break and 2) The FA ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FINAL (3rd) MATCH-U.... FIGHT!!! First Round I don't know what the heck those commenters mean. Since it does seem like you don't want to be on the defense. But at least you have on-par defense when needed so I think I'll have to call a bit of BS on that (ironically). Though I will say that waiting for Yukiko to use a fire attack would effectively take away the neutral dominance that she can apply with Fire Break (But this round would have to be an exception) That 2C charge-up certainly did it's job at conjuring some intense damage though. Too bad the J.B. oki wasn't performed since I think that might've reached Yukiko when she rolled away. Which in turn, would've erased the momentum Yukiko had. Unfortunately victory was swiped away from you in an instant once she rolled away and got the corner pressure up in your face. (Were you able to block the 5A that gave the finishing combo though?) Second Round Well... ignoring the fact that you were able to block Zealous's fans along with Yuki-chan's Sakuya/2A mixup I GUESS you were totally not blocking her attacks. (Sarcasm) I would like to join in the compliment party and say that DP was indeed well-done/timed. Even better was your SP was low enough to inflict charm which meant Zealous NEEDED to rush you down. Though with failure to do so. That failed combo might've been able to win you this one. And you were just so close to winning with what followed up until that Persona break... (I was thinking perhaps... rolling then throwing Yukiko might've finished the job. Though I'm not sure if Konohana Sakuya's new move has an auto-correct nor am I sure you would have enough space away from it to do anything without any punishment) I would have to finalize this by saying you performed excellently. There were a few fatal mistakes (which is littered everywhere like gum in a high school's desk when playing Lizzie) but that doesn't cover the shining performance you were able to uphold against Zealous. I'd like to say you're at least three-fourths as good as Damosu is (which I hope is a good and honest enough comment since you were just incredible). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- P.S. to the commenters if they somehow read this (it's about the Lizzie complaints): IT'S BECAUSE LIZZIE'S THE (SORTA) THE SAME AND EVERYONE ELSE IS BUFFED I hope my critique wasn't... well... bad or anything hehe. ^_^;; Whilst Editing: SUCH RUN ON SENTENCES, MANY STUPID WOW I GOTTA CLEAN THIS UP *Get's the duster
  16. Seems like Adachi can easily pop us like a balloon like we can to most. The cross-ups he can perform also apply quite the stress. One thing I do know for sure (since I don't have first-hand experience and probably will be wrong at any other detail I state) is that full-screen zoning won't be a safe haven for us in this matchup with Adachi's (what I assume to be 2D) move where M.Izanagi strikes down with red lightning at full-screen. Really, not many places are safe since the bop-kick attack he does is an overhead which is pretty quick up close. His gunshot is about mid-ranged and is also pretty quick, and then there's the said persona attack Adachi can perform. ... Eh... I guess nowhere's a haven actually... ^_^;; But in any case, quick reactions are the only way to get past Adachi since he really can pack a punch for us Lizzie players, even without Heat Riser or his status bonus affects later on. I'll continue snooping around to see if we have ANYTHING.
  17. Well hey I didn't know we could actually j.2B so don't worry ^_^;;. Not sure how neat it is though since j.B probably does better (assuming J.2B is the same as 2B). I mean I guess it's okay overall since we can use it against a Yosuke that's a up on top of us. What's the recovery of Randomizer btw? I would assume it's pretty long (like Ken's Furious Attack long) on recovery. Which probably means we might wanna be careful when against high players that have 50SP to spare
  18. I thought everyone knew though... ;;. -.
  19. So what do you guys think we can do for pressure? Use 5A<5AA<5B<5C(1)<66<repeat until they give up? Obviously I'm the oblivious one who decided to wait for the english release. XD
  20. I would say it would be optimal and safe since the opponent is in the air and requires something to hit diagonally down with or something. I'm pretty sure most, if not, all moves like that in the game require enough startup for us top block from the assault if they try that. Let alone the fact that they have to worry about the poison taking too much health away is another thing.
  21. Doesn't matter, just being able to show the video is enough (I'm too much of a wuss to just show my own... .- .; and it's great quality still. You hear the game, you see the game, eh perfection! Moving on... Edit: I'm pretty sure that's a viable oki, I guess it's just no effective when facing characters with Furious Attacks like Yu's or Mitsuru's (maybe her but I think it covers less distance than Yu's so the space between Thanny-poo and the opponent might be some). I didn't think that you could use an oki like that!? 0_0 That's pretty clever actually. Good job! *Ovation What kind of Mabufudyne did you use in that combo though? Looks like the A version but I'm not sure...
  22. Well if it requires Awakening in order to really dish out the ailments, then perhaps using a super damaging combo that kills him or causes him to be near-death is all that's needed to take away all the intimidation. After all, like stated earlier, he can't manually stimulate his Awakening nor can he heal himself. So attempting to end the round as fast as possible is what the opponent needs. Edit: Like basically getting him low, but watching to make sure he's not in Awakening yet is what we need to watch out for. (I guess?) I guess Adachi doesn't do well if he's not the one leading and controlling the match's flow. (Hey kinda like his character now that I think about it. : P) Now that I think about it... what kind of defensive options does Adachi himself have when he's under assault? I'm assuming not many since he seems to be more oriented as a offensive-pressure-straining character overall.
  23. YUS! Now we can finally find confirmation on what Lizzie's like now! : D Is it me or does D garu have less recovery than P4U had? In those combo videos, it seems like she can act almost immediately after reaching the ground.
  24. Well if that's the case, it would seem hopping then performing a ranged attack is the only way to attack from fullscreen during neutral. Sure that's problematic for some characters since some of their own long ranged moves can only be done in the ground, but it's the only way to go without them being punished. I'm expecting mostly air-to-air combat considering how Margaret's sweep can pretty much shut-down most options of zoning. Along with her high-mobility making it risky already to decide to use a beam or any of the sort.
  25. This dims down my hopes at Arc System Works from giving the Kokonoe treatment to Margaret... . -.;; None of us will see the light of the victory... lights and confetti ever again. Unless we fight someone who's too cheap.
