YO, so I was just playing against a ky online and I got something very very strange for the first time ever...then I went for it again and it happened again the very next time...then I went for it again and it didn't happen a third time lol I had him in the corner and did basic blockstring into crossup rekka; 5k, 5s, 5h, 236h, so that the 5h pulls him out of the corner for the cross up, ya know? WELL after the crossup, I do 5k and leo lunges forward with his knee...? im thinking I must have gotten hit out of BT and wasn't paying attention or...something. but I do it again in the other corner and again, after empty cross up rekka 236h hits...he is NOT in back turned stance and when I mash 5k he lunges forward at him with his knee. I try it a third time and he is in BT and does his stand low. I have 115 ranked matches and 767 player matches (exact numbers cause im looking at my profile right now cause i was hoping the game automatically recorded the match, but it didn't). and about 40-50 hours worth of offline matches at local arcade gatherings here in Chicago on Mondays and out of all that time I have NEVER seen this happen once...then it happens twice in a row. has anyone ever gotten this before?

2k, 5s, 5h, rekkas, RC, 236.h, 5k, 5s, j.s(1hits), dj.s, j.h, j.236h does 175 and gives back turned OR 2k, 5s, 5h, rekkas, RC, 236.h, 5k, 5s, j.s(2hits), dj.s, j.h, j.d, whiff/land, meaty [4]6s projectile does 172 and throws a fireball right in their face if they neutral tech. however if they tech forward they could blow up your charge direction and no fireball, so maybe read how they like to tech first..? I think more needs to be discovered about 236h. along with that vague video, sometimes in a match ill intentionally skip the first rekka to get into back turned and go for marvel vergil bullshit online crossups...and 236h will sometimes keep me in front of them and hit them extra fast. so not only does it combo sometimes, but sometimes it doesn't even cross up (and yes, I know its a spacing thing, but this has happened to me when im point blank in their face) ALSO, working on 2h counter hit combos, at the moment im doing CH 2h, 236h (whiffs), BT.s, 214s, RC, 66, 6p, air combo I just say "air combo" cause j.s push back was frustrating me last night and not letting me find a universal/optimal route...also note you have to jump cancel the 6p, cant do a 5s like youd normal do for a launcher. im going to test out an IAD j.d after the RC today...we'll see. 2k, 5s, 6k is a good "semi" block string that leaves you plus in case youre wondering how to fish for CH 2h. cause in order for this combo to work you have to hit confirm into the 236h rather quickly so you gotta be looking for it. 6k is love! use it! or 6k and toss out a 5k afterward, its a frame trap that blows em up for trying to jump out..? feels like it

one of the guys who comes out to weekly offline sessions here in Chicago has a hacked ps3 that had Leo on it tonight. sooooo fun I still don't have a copy of the game, tonight was actually my first time playing. I thought I was gunna decide between zato, bedman, and sin...but the 3 of them weren't nearly as cool to play with lol

ive been playing a lot of eddie in +r to get ready for zato, but i think im completely sold on bedman now we have two weekly streams here in chicago as well as the occasional session from somebody's apartment. ill post up on nights i plan on attending and in the mean time im building my own stream set up and will be able to do my own by february or so. maybe we can turn clips from your skype sessions/my streams/match footage/etc into some rad little podcasts or something

ive unfortunately never been there...but yeah, the last time the kof guys and myself made plans to go, james texted me asking me to bring my asus...so we'd have to supply our own I would presume. word, but 6 setups are already focused on injustice/mk9/KI is what I was saying. remember even back when GGA was popping off weekly they always reserved 5-6 set ups for mk9. i wasn't saying anything is wrong with GGA, cause i love that place and the teammates are awesome dudes...but none of them play BB and space is hella limited on Thursdays now. ...or any day of the week for that matter

not sure if you guys watch their stream or have hit up GGA recently, but back when I was playing injustice I went to a few of their sessions and their room is now cut in half. the front of the room that we used to have reserved is now taken up by more cabs. seeing as how they only have space for 5-6 set ups now, I would say it miiiight be tough to persuade them to dedicate any to anime when theyre entire team is focused on MK9, injustice, and now KI. catering to a 4th game would be difficult. I would vote for EXP. but then again...im biased cause I would love to play smash again for the good ol days lol the entire chicago smash scene meets there and I haven't touched link since high school. been itching to meet those guys and see how well I remember that game. ...mind you I still hardly ever leave the house, so my vote is only really 1/3rd of a vote until I recover.

hey fellas, apologies if this is already been discussed or common knowledge by now...but im trying to work on my air pressure but I cant seem to get this to work out. im trying to air dash in, j.CC cancel with a D charge for bait and then go into another j.CC I knoq the second j.CC will not combo with her first j.CC...that's not what im trying to do...just trying to create more pressure in hopes that the second j.CC will hit but it will never combo into her ground normals for the life of me. is it strict timing or does this not work out? keep in mind im in training room with ragna...so is character specific hitbox something to factor in...?

tomorrow was supposed to be my return to ignite...but i need to stay home and play doctor for my dog has liver disease and needs all the help she can to pull through. somebody wish me luck! (just make sure its good luck this time, ive had enough bad for the last 10 weeks) ...oh and once i come back, yall are gunna have to eat this tsubaki ass without chewing. mmmmm BITCH! character specific combos all day!

been two weeks since i seen you jerks. feels like fucking years. heres updates for those wondering: relius still the best. tsubaki is way too fun, definitely might be my main bitch soon if progress continues. not sure if thats a good move for tournament play though, but for the sake of personal preference and casuals: fun > best i gave up on the dog...and the robot is not very fun to me still cant hit confirm with slayer stopped trying to learn AC+ and been playing a ton of skullgirls instead hope to see yall soon!

i was interested in makoto solely because i wanted to be that jerk who plays characters with the same name in 2 different games but her negative edge/D charge and fellow players warning me she is ass tier frightened me away. theres a godlike noel player here in chicago to learn from (you may remember him as the guy who won 3rd place but got the 1st place pot bonus in that collusion video)...but iirc he is dropping her for 12. ill have to talk to him to see whats up. thanks man

hrmmm, i appreciate the insight! not trying to toot my horn... but i am a KOF player (been my main game for 3-4 years now), i play c.viper in marvel, and i play makoto in street fighter...so im not stranger to putting in work for the sake a fun-combo-female...even though i play saiki in KOF (shout outs to androgyny) are high level combos character specific to an unreasonable degree? like close to the entire cast? or is it at least less than half...? this is similar to what i was told when asking about bang at one of our weekly offline sessions here in chicago...that you can put in all the work you want and youll still be sub par to relius. it felt like they were generally trying to talk me out of every character mentioned except relius and 12. im gunna stick it out for a while. ill be lurking these threads for help. huge shout outs to anybody who posts!

ive been playing relius since CP came in the mail...but have been on the prowl for another character. a friend of mine has been playing BB for ages and when i told him i was trying out "tsubaki, 12, valk, and bang" he immediately responded with "just dont play tsubaki" is she an uphill battle for first timer BB players or something...? cause next to valk, her combos are the most fun im having. sorry for the typical character crisis post, just curious to hear from tsubaki mains...any idea on why he might have reacted in such a way?
