I didn't do the entire list, but I went through the JP wiki's glossary and shorthand pages and translated a lot of the common terms that have either irregular, unclear, or misleading direct translations. Myself included, please use this alongside your translation work to avoid the confusion many of these terms can bring If there's something you've run across a few times and don't understand it and it's not on this list, let me know and I'll get it added. Also: a number of the terms (like, braking and brake canceling for example) I didn't put details because they are things that should be in the gameplay/system explanation pages. This is just for helping with some of the more unclear JP wiki terms. http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Japanese_Wiki_Terms

I'm not sure which screen your referring to as "the anchor move", but to just clarify his moveset is exactly the same, except [bC] has an added utility of behaving as a melee counterattack besides the energy claw attack. It doesn't say though if it's like 2BC or what that makes it do the counter instead of the energy claw. Edit: also, it says his 2B does Mina's "Okitsu no Kagami" beam shield defense system.

Oh, no, I meant AC as just the broad, general "alternative century" (all non-UC) lol -
Gundam Versus managed to upload the Bamco streaming event showing of the Summer Festival suits apparently. Will Bamco make him/her take it down? I don't know. Here's the link, hope it survives a while: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X15_2aCrEMc Unfortunately, apparently it picks up after the main Altron footage was done, and there's no gameplay of him :/ A couple of rounds each featuring ReGz, Banshee Norn, and Strike Ootori

Full Boost/Maxi Boost wants/returns/hopes?, thread

Things that could maybe happen Kampfer. I'll settle for either original MS-18E or GBF Kampfer Amazing Gundam Maxter That's...it for me I think, since Altron and Banshee Norn are on the way. Also knowing that Shining Gundam eventually is supposed to make an appearance. Beyond those wants, things that I still see at least possible: if Maxter got brought in I think it would have the door open for Rose and Bolt to round out the Shuffle Alliance one day (or vice-versa). Rose as a melee-centric suit that also has funnels could be an interesting play. Sandrock I know there's a lot of demand for, at least in the West. I personally don't care so much for Sandrock, but if TV Sandrock meant that TV Heavyarms could be brought in - a return of 2k Heavyarms but also with its combat knife or Wing's Beam Saber for CQC (like Cherudim vs Dynamas differences) - that I'd be rather interested in. In the same vein, I would have rather had Seravee or Virtue a hundred times more than Raphael. Things that are unlikely to happen Full Armor Unicorn get released as DLC before MB comes to console. Pack-Swap combos to be more a part of Strike's combat, and for them to actually be rewarding for the effort. Even if it just got the Impulse treatment of being able to immediately fire Launcher A from any form or directly switch to Sword and attack from Launcher would go a long way in that regard. Less SEED/AC more UC :P But I recognize it's easier to pull stuff from AC series without having to dig or be extra creative about ideas for implementation. But please...give SEED a rest for a while moving forward... Things that will never happen/Things I wish had been done differently For them to undo the ridiculous MB reversion of GP01Fb back to Zephyranthes mode first before being able to be Full Vernien. Why kill what was one of the funnest and most successful updates from EXVS, Bamco??? Unicorn's NT-D to get the 00-Raiser treatment - available from start, cancel anytime Alex having been a 2k suit (consider: the NT-1 was built superior to the RX-78) and given more viable ranged play. Just SOME implementation of Mk II - of the three that there are now - to have been 2k and not revolve around Super Gundam cooldown. A Mk II closer to what is in Gundam Dynasty Warriors. There's a few suits actually besides Mk II that I wish had had some of their melee pulled from GDW. ZZ, Nu, V2 off the top of my head. V-Dash Victory, or at least for Victory to have had V-Dash as a CD instead of EX mode only. GP03S to have been BR based, but it's just griping to continue talking about that. Also having [bC] be ammo-based feels lame to me :/ -

I think a big question is whether they went with TV Sandrock or EW Sandrock. TV Sandrock has a beam MG (although it uses it only a couple of times), so...a MG-based melee suit. None of the pure melee suits in the game carry an MG, and all of the suits that carry MG aren't really melee-focused, right? NT-D Unicorn is the only thing I can think of off the top of my head that would paint a likely picture. Gerbera carries a beam MG and BD1 a MG, but both have really underwhelming melee options (until BD1 gets EXAM). And yeah, probably lacky assists like you said. EW Sandrock never uses the MG. But it has that ABC mantle that TV Sandrock doesn't have (that cloth thing it had was just for camouflage right?? It wasn't actually anti-beam was it??), setting it up to play like X1 Kai. Not to say that I feel either adds a truly unique or interesting gameplay experience ether...I think if I were going to pick one I think I'd rather have TV Sandrock than what from a distance looks like an X1 clone with just vulcan cannons >< -

Yeah, you enter it in like the same place you would enter PSN point card codes: sign-in (profile) > sign-in (psn) > PS store > コード番号の入力 (very bottom of the menu list) > put in the code > 次へ > it should pop up a little download thing for you -

The UC suits explosions are based on the nuclear-powered cores they operate off of. The 00 suits as Allen said blow up green because they are run off of GN particles rather than nuclear power. I'd never noticed an extra pink tone in the SEED suits explosions; are they not also nuclear powered??? -
I think it was Ace that made the comment in Skype that, considering how Heavyarms was bumped up to 2500 cost in MB there is now NO Wing suit lower than 2500, and so that makes it seem likely Altron will come in at 2k, and should just (hopefully) have a moveset that doesn't make him feel exactly the same as Dragon (which, as far as I've seen in videos, seems to have had a lot of its moveset pulled from EW Altron in Next+)

Yeah, Gundam VS tweeted (no source though) that it would be those summer festival suits plus "Gundam" X (X Astray/Dreadnought?) and "Gold Frame (mina)". But...there hasn't been anything shown about a different Gold Frame? I wonder if that was meant to be Blitz? Edit: No, Gundam X is After War Gundam X with Garrod and GF Mina is just a new GF Am cautiously hype... -

Oh, nice, I was actually just coming here to say that shitaraba EXVS tweeted something about this earlier: https://twitter.com/ATHENA_NPB/status/489255617349959682/photo/1 7/23 update Dreadnought Gundam public release 7/11~8/10: Conquest Season 5 rewards and suits will be set 7/13~8/6: open play campaign suits: Kamille Mk II, Luna Impulse, Victory Hexa Midsummer festival - the following suits will be released: Altron (7/29), Strike Rouge Ootori (8/5), Char's Counterattack Re-Gz (8/11), Banshee Norn (8/19) The following suits will be adjusted: Acguy, Katejina (I can never remember how to spell that suit's crazy name), WZC, Heavyarms, Freedom, IJ, IJ (Lacus), Exia, Unicorn, GP01, GP03, Gouf, Stargazer, Extreme Leos Type II Doesn't provide any info on how long the summer festival and its suits last :/ -
I already said previously that from the beginning here I was only speaking on what was laid out information wise. There was no backstory given on the event until Tari did so, and both here and in Skype all that was said was "pads were banned." The information being MUCH more clearly stated now than it was to begin with, I obviously do not still think anyone was being unfair in the situation. I've also gone back to my first post and struck-through the portion where I spoke based on misinformation.
-
I doubt anyone paid close attention, but just curious: despite the numerous times people probably changed the config setup for their pads, were there not any common themes observed in Custom configs ([A] being mapped to R1? L1?) that could lend themselves to maybe trying to lay down an accepted standardized Custom alternative to the Default layout for future events? It's probably not feasible to run some kind of poll of the community's pad users...
-
Ah I see. Then yes, that's completely different from what I was under the impression of as to what occurred. Thank you!
-
Sorry. Again, I wasn't there, so I obviously am not certain. But still, that seems to be in direct conflict with this: Unless you're saying that no person was banned from the shuffle tourney - just the use of pads. But...if a pad player shows up to the event, registered, paid, and then is told upon arrival he can compete but only if he plays on a stick, severely handicapping himself against other players...that's really barely better than telling him "you can't play." I think it would really help to have this statement/situation cleared up. Maybe I'm missing or misunderstanding something? It was said in the Skype lobby too that pad was banned from shuffle, and all I'm saying is - acknowledging and understanding the legitimate problems that were encountered in the hold tournament with pads - that's kinda unfair to a number of players IF this played out the way it seems like it played out. I never said that anyone should be "entitled" to play on pad. But if they paid the same entry fee, did the same methods everything as a stick player, and there was nothing said before any of this registration, can we honestly sit here and say they shouldn't expect to be able to play the game with a pad when they get there?
-
Well, the default pad layout is pretty inefficient period, and for a couple of suits it's almost impeding to play the suit at a high level. I wasn't at the tournament, and I didn't see or hear any of the drama, so I shouldn't and am not going to speak to that. What I will speak to is that I'm a pad player. I recently purchased a stick, but having basically never used an arcade stick for ANYTHING in my 20-something years of life as a gamer, it is very, VERY difficult retraining your hands and brain how to play the game naturally on the stick, at the same level of play as pad if you've been playing the game (and every other game on pad) for years like I have. It's actually extremely frustrating going from being decently proficient at the game and its more nuanced mechanics on pad, then sitting down to a stick and your brain fucking going "wait, how do I use my assist??" If the US had maxiboost boxes, or ANY actual arcade boxes of the game like Japan does, then you could maybe start to make the argument of people should learn to play the game on stick. But, it doesn't. The only way people in the US can play the game is on console, and so it shouldn't be surprising or odd that people play the game on pad. The community is small. When new people see the game and think "wow that looks awesome!" and buy it, are they supposed to somehow on their own instinctively know "wait wait wait! learn to play the game on stick while you're still learning the game"?? It just is not reasonable or viable in my opinion to expect the whole community to just switch to sticks for the game. So how then is it fair to explicitly bar pad players from playing against others and enjoying the community just like stick players? It's not. 100% it's not. It's frankly blatant elitism. And if I'd been one of the players that spent money on conference registration, transportation, lodging, and then came to play my game to be told with no more prior warning that pads were prohibited?? You can damn well bet I'd be pissed and would make a scene about it. That is no less inconsiderate than some of the behavior that is described above that a couple of pad players did, and if that is what happened here I'm quite disappointed in some of the higher ups of our community for it. ("New shit has come to light, man" This is not what happened as revealed further down in the thread) Now...that being said, I'm not so short-sighted on this matter that I can't see and appreciate the legitimate complications and difficulties using a pad can add to a large tournament like this, simply because of how the game is poorly designed in this area. But again, are we supposed to fault players for the game having a piss-poor online lobby/interface for making adjustments easily? The fair thing then is there just needs to be ground rules, and these ground rules be known well in advance. And banning pads is obviously not a desired ground rule here. Pad players similarly should recognize the difficulty of the situation, and respect this need for some ground rules. No wireless controllers was suggested above and is a totally fair stance to take in my opinion, and is something pad players should have no problem with. Default pad config only is an option. It's a very sketchy option imo, having already said first thing that the default pad config is not very good. But everyone that plays pad I would bet money has at some point played the default config to realize it's bad and want to change it. And so players can put in some practice time on it again if told well, well in advance it will be required. Have one Custom alternative that seems to be common among players and let that be the alternative to the default config. Default comms only doesn't really have much to do with stick vs pad, but if people were actually spending tournament time to change their comms as well as controller config? Come on guys. Default comms work fine enough for something like this, given the time crunch there is. I recognize however how this can still be unfair to letting someone play the game at their peak ability using their preferred controller and layout, which I agree should be a top priority, and there just has to be a compromise from both the players and organizers with regard to how to go about maximizing that as best as possible given technical constraints. I'd also in the skype chat last night suggested having stick-only PS3s and pad-only PS3s set up, but now that I'm more awake realize that tournament seeding doesn't necessarily work well with that, unless you like 100% split the tournament into "stick players side" and "pad players side", but I think it's been made clear that doing anything that forcibly splits the already small community is not ideal...

Well there's certainly no shortage of source material for them to choose from; the real question is how many suits are they willing to put into the game, and still be able to even try to keep it both balanced and interesting (I know, I know, laugh away). It's already over 100 at this point, and while that's really cool, obviously even on shuffle people don't consistently play all of the suits in the game, so it starts to become a question of effort vs payoff. I think that's when things like Shenlong/Altron from the PSP game being killed off and Dragon Gundam basically inheriting his moveset start to happen. That or things like Blitz or Dreadnought where they're "new" suits but realistically their tools are already in the game spread across other MS. The clones thing doesn't have to happen. If they just let you choose a pilot/set of voice clips and MS separately like in GDW, none of their current clones would be necessary. But if clones is what they think is going to make them money in DLC, then why would they stop doing it? -
On the topic of Unicorn music I have both a vocal and instrumental loop (as well as unedited both) StarRingChild tracks (as well as a few others from the last OST) in my folder for taking. At least...I think I put them in there lol Also: I finally sat down and at least put subfolders in my main folder to organize things by series, rather than just having a huge folder of random mp3 files

So...not much in the description in the way of an explanation other than maybe the only caveat of this that it can only be done in those 5 directions when the assists are deployed or empty? (which, is exactly the directions I was using it in when I first posted about it) -

【EXVS.FB & MB】 Sazabi Rainbow Sachakyan (important? distinction: this video calls this a Sachakyan instead of Achakyan edit: I realize now I think Sachakyan is just "step charge cancel" no, idk lol) Sazabi's training partner, Because I was told "I can't do sachakyan" I recorded and uploaded this video (I'm not sure if someone told him that he couldn't do it right, or if someone told him they couldn't do it and asked for a demo vid lol) That's all. 0:00~ Nothing but simple rainbow sachakyan 1:30~ After doing the 4/6B swerve, if boost is good, do a rainbow step if possible If ~5mm of boost gauge is remaining you can do it 2:30~ Again, nothing but simple rainbow sachakyan 3:17~End Press BC, assists do single attack→BDC the internal stiffness of the assist→utilize the BDC stiffness and sachakyan BDC sachakyan is possible in forward direction and left/right direction (total 5 directions including the two diagonals) Because I almost completely haven't done a ranked match? video since "Sazachar 19", do you want me to eventually increase Sazabi videos? Not increase Sazabi videos? -

At 0:20 his Sub ammo drops from 64 to 0 immediately o_o Is it some kind of timed INCOM system, and using a certain attack just cuts the remaining time on their deployment? Although, his 4 main INCOMS/Dragoons/both/whatever were all still attached to his back when that happened...I just saw a couple cables drop from behind him after it. -
Thanks for a link! Nice to see that pictures can be embedded into them too, another thing I was curious about and think will be helpful.
