  1. its more a personal thing, not really somethin you guys should worry about i dunno about sunday, i think I got plans, btw, whens tekken come out?
  2. get em steve
  3. are you talking about his 5b 2b 6236 b d.5b... to get it down first figure out just how long the recovery is on 623B, you have to know for yourself as its all about feeling it out. Once you figure it out you want to start trying to run a tiny bit sooner than you'd think you can. If you mess up you wont move, but its better than doing it too late as it won't help your timing. to land a d.5b don't wait to see your run, you have to know got the run, wait just a second and push it before you think the 5B will reach them, bang will slide into it, you really only need a very minimal run in most cases (eceptions include rachel/arakune)
  4. imo order sol doesn't have to dust, its just an option to throw in randomly, like just a novelty once every few matches, 2H and jump cancelling with HOS is good enough to get your opponent fidgety enough 2HS is best used as the first hit on wake-up, it can combo without bar if you hit with the end of it, Condition someone to block with 6K on wake-up and you'll get free 2H's all the time. Also the longer a string the more peopel wanna stand, poke, or jump in which 2H can be a get out of jail free card for them. Its nice mid string though if you get people afraid of being thrown. 2H CH of course equals good times.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6vdV2cYE-4&feature=sub http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZK3uC30tDI&feature=sub some of the latest acho vids mostly johnny wrecking shop, I think its DC based on some comments but dont hold me to that anyways, dude is ridiculously aggressive and doesn't give a shit about blowing all 8 coins in the first 10 seconds of a match but damn he makes it work
  6. I don't really feel like talking with any of the PZ management atm so atm I'm on arcade hiatus let me know when shits goin down elsewhere
  7. put me on maybe status if i can clear enough smoke in my room to find a set of keys and my willpower, i might make it down with some friends
  8. no...d nail give it a shot, i dont think you can even hit with c nail after 5C knockdown midscreen
  9. in an effort to get more of off anti-airs, noticed 5A (air CH) goes into 5C from a goodly distance on most characters and taking the length of otg off 5C I tinkered around trying to get some damage off of this anti-air (5A counter hit anti-air, hard to confirm I understand, but meh...) (combos done on airborne opponent, should work from about any distance that 5A > 5C would connect which is probably more than you'd think on most characters...harder on arakune, maybe v-13, carl...etc) midscreen 5A > 5C > 8236D (tk D nail) > d.623B > Daifunka = ~ 4000 dmg (works on i believe everyone except rachel) 5A > 5C > 8236D (tk D nail) > Daifunka = ~ 4000 dmg (much harder the super has to be done QUICK) 5A > 5C > 8236D (tk D nail) > d.623B > 2B > 6C > j.B > j.C = ~ 2800 dmg (works on everyone cept rachel, may need to remove j.B depending on height) * for tager/arakune/hakumen can add a j.623B onto the end for ~3000 dmg 5A > 5C > 8236D (tk D nail) > d.623B > d.6C > j.623B > 2C ~ 2900 dmg (tested to work on ragna/jin/hakumen) 5A > 5C > 8236D (tk D nail) > d.623B > d.623B Daifunka ~ 4100 dmg, only character i got it on was v-13, may be able to hit more of the lightweights 5A > 5C > 6D > 236963214D (tk daifunka) ~ 3700 dmg i think, an option if the distance to the corner could screw up the combo Corner 5A > 5C > 623B > 5A > 5B > j.A > j.C ~ 2700 dmg i think on rachel 5A > 5C > daifunka...it works, and its 4400 dmg these combos also work if you anti-air CH with 5B, just 5B > 5C to start
  10. run in attacks? 6A? no 6B ? no 6C? only if you KNOW they're gonna jump/backdash otherwise learn to run into a 5A or 5B...very useful...something i see a lot of online bangs need to learn. Most bangs will waste nails when they dont need to or spam drive...You have to earn your damage
  11. people getting away with still doing the haku throw loop makes me a saaaad panda
  12. duly noted =/
  13. damn, i'd get some games with you but PSN and all =/
  14. i feel as if my eyes have been opened
  15. teach your casual opponents to learn to block low...or to block at all
  16. Good games to all, I don't know how often I'll be able to make it down with work and class, but I know i'll prioritize it more once tekken comes out.
  17. still waiting to see how my ride situation turns out, but i think i'll wind up going, is so should be able to find me by a backwards longhorns cap, or if i'm running the BB tv with bang
  18. i think im actually goin with a friend or two tonight, hope to cya there
  19. basically the management has been known to be a little shady its not a reason to hate the scene or the people, just be wary of it when you're there I'm thankful we have an arcade with the game selection they have, and I've met good players there and had good games there
  20. i'd like to give a shout out to my home boy steve...wherever he is, for holding a grudge against the guy he owes 700$
  21. a clean hit just means you hit the right part of the person, like you go in with a big punch, tapping their arm wont do much, but a heart shot would be a "clean hit"...something to that effect the actual area for clean hits varies from character to character (as in some characters clean hit target is lower/higher/deeper/shallower/bigger/smaller) but generally the goal is to hit them as deep as possible somewhere in the upper chest area. I'm not certain about this next bit, but i also believe the clean hit target area shrinks little by little as a combo progresses, ie, the longer the combo, the harder it is to clean hit the moves that can clean hit grand viper: this is the move where he slides across the ground, if you start a combo with this move and the opponent is on the ground, you have to wiggle the stick and push buttons to extend the length of grand viper, if you were successful in doing this enough, your grand viper will hit 8 times and the last hit will be a clean hit (if you hit them out of the air or tack grand viper as 2nd or later hit of the combo then the # of hits you need to get for a clean hit changes) on clean hit grand viper increases the untechable time after the last hit of the move, and allows you to to continue the combo for no tension. sidewinder: his air fire punch on clean hit the opponent will bounce off the wall and fly back at you, if you're low enough to the ground when you do this you can generally continue the combo. Doing multiple clean hit sidewinders is the bread and butter of choice for sol fafnir: the ground forcebreak you can't clean hit a fafnir on a grounded opponent (to my knowledge...this works for sidewinder too) but if you catch them off the ground with it and it clean hits, it basically works the same way as sidewinder clean hit and causes wall-bounce and allows you to continue the combo. all of these moves on non clean hit just knock the enemy away and generally don't allow for follow-ups without roman cancels
  22. ya, we have a fairly dedicated arcade scene but only in a few games we have a lot of sf4 players (thought only a few are actually good, a lot play regularly) and our tekken scene is pretty strong guilty gear is dead, and blazblue is mostly kept up by a lot less than stellar players i still play gear often enough with my roommate, and on any set day i might be able to get 2-3 people from the arcade in on gear casuals, but i dont feel like puttin forth any effort for gatherings for any other games. Outiside that our arcade hosts tournaments every now and then that get varying degrees of support. The sf4 weeklies draw a crowd though. there aren't that many hardcore players so its nice for a casual scene post up when you make it down, my psn is faultydefense and i'm willing to play when i'm on, though as i play more blazblue, i get on less and less >.>
  23. to be perfectly honest, the entire reason i said anything was because you thought that combo looked cool when i thought it was kinda sad, thats all... to be back on topic for daiandoh's sake shit i got nothin...
