  1. Yeah, sure! I haven't submitted since vanilla Second Impact days, over a year ago, and I remember it being super-popular then. I'd be down to participate in Office Hours too, though I'll have to see what my schedule is like (I'm in Canada ON so IIRC I'm like 3 hours later than you guys). It's probably too greedy of me to ask, but can I submit more than 1 replay if there's nobody else is submitting? I have some games of 2.5k-1k with my garbage Ez8 (lag certainly doesn't help with the execution), but I'd like to try to get some of my 3000 front play analyzed too. I'll definitely be submitting for the 16th, so you'll have at least one submission to go over.
  2. Wait so is the next one of these tomorrow, or Monday? I'd be totally down to find a replay to send in, provided I can find a good one Haven't been able to get into a Team Free lobby, so I might have to resort to a Shuffle game that coincidentally had a good team comp or a Ranked game with my scrub friend.
  3. Is this still a thing? I checked the archives for the May 19th one, but I didn't find anything. I need help brett-sensei
  4. Everyone's just kind of doing their own thing, it's not like we're coordinating or anything :P If you wanna do a page for a unit you like in particular, feel free, though try to put in a few hours and commit. As it is, every page but mine and akai_GO's are all pretty much empty.
  5. 発生 Rikaikun says "outbreak", but given the context its used in, I immediately knew it was startup (it helped that it appeared with Freedom's 6B, so I kinda knew that it had to be that).
  6. They're both just considered startup, since the only real difference is the animation. Startup is literally the amount of time before the move's hitbox comes out (for most fighting games, this is measured in frames, though here they mostly use time), so anything that increases the time before the move's hitbox is active counts towards the startup.
  7. Note that the Achakyan is just like a normal Amekyan, so you can do it from a BD jump, normal step or rainbow step. If you do execute it from a rainbow step, then you should still see the rainbow step animation. It should be done immediately after the step is complete to preserve momentum. You just let go of A as soon as you press BC. If you're hearing the Jagd Doga assist quote but not actually summoning the assist & firing your CSA and freefalling, then you're doing it right.
  8. And a quick translation question. This is an attribute that appears in some melees, haven't been able to identify it yet: ふっ飛ばしダウン Thanks in advance!
  9. I've been doing translations for the wiki, and Wing Zero TV is one of my WIPs, so here you go: "From Gundam Wing, comes Heero Yuy in his final suit, the Wing Gundam Zero. Note that this is a different suit from the Wing Zero EW version, which appeared in Endless Waltz and in the original EXVS. It’s a very popular suit due to its incredible power as the premier top-tier 3000. With up to 8 BDs, good momentum preservation, and a boost-efficient BC rapid transformation, you’re an all-purpose suit with one of the highest mobility of all 3000s. Your great tools make you one of the best suits in the mid-close range, with no notable weakness. You particularly shine in close-mid range, since your AC Rolling Buster doesn’t go beyond red lock range. Your Main is a standard 1-shot beam, but CSA will change the properties to a non-vernier gerobi akin to Wing Zero EW, Reborns, or 00. When compared to Reborns, another top tier 3000, you have less variety in your ranged options, but have improved turnover rates on your BR and non-vernier gerobi. Unlike Wing Zero EW, you still have access to a good BR for the medium range. In addition to your multi-functional Main, you have a great Sub MG and your signature AC, so you have a wide variety of excellent tools at your disposal. Your 1st stage melee performance is fairly average, but you have excellent damage output and an easy way to hit-confirm thanks to CSA being melee-cancellable. With this, your close-range performance is incredibly threatening, and you’ll want to go for this wherever possible. In addition to the above tactic, you also have a great Sub and BC~B cancel to work with, making you nearly unbeatable in close quarters. Finally, you have your CSB Zero System, which cuts guidance similar to F91’s MEPE or Deathscythe’s AC Hyper Jammer. In conjunction with your great close-range performance, it’s an extremely threatening tool despite its low duration. Your moveset and attributes all make you a very powerful front suit threat, but if you do get overcosted, you have surprisingly good survivability as a back role thanks to your mobility and Zero System. You won’t be able to make use of your CSA → melee chain, but you’re one of the best 3000s at runaway, right up there with Sazabi and Wing Zero EW. Keep CSB ready in case of an emergency, such as a low-boost situation or an approaching Quanta with BC. Given your low durability for a 3000, going to cover your partner without Zero System when you’re at low health can be a very big risk. Overall, you’re a high-mobility suit with a dominating combination of powerful close-ranged (CSA, Sub) and medium-ranged tools (BR, AC) for both aggression and interception. Your unique 8B OTG-effect is very high-performance and will play an active role in your hit-confirms off BR/CSA. Despite its short duration, CSB will let you force an approach and abuse your close range tools. Its incredible performance lets it be viable with almost any 2500 or 2000 cost partner, and is still very powerful in the hands of inexperienced players. It is perhaps unmatched by any other mobile suit in this entire game." Finally, you have your CSB Zero System, which cuts guidance similar to F91’s MEPE or Deathscythe’s AC Hyper Jammer. 10. Will do! Last minute before bed, I dunno who started it, but does anyone mind if I commandeer the Strike Freedom page? It hasn't been touched in a whole month, but just in case...
  11. The reason Ez8 is like that is because the JP wiki did it like that, which seemed fine to me in terms of formatting/readability. Your Unicorn page looks great too, and is perfectly fine in terms of formatting too. I feel like we're kind of overcomplicating this. I personally don't think we need precisely the same formatting, so long as the page is readable. The JP wiki itself isn't 100% consistent since multiple people work on various pages, so some suits have sections ordered differently, or even missing altogether, etc. (this was the case with the 00 JP wiki page, which I've partially done but haven't completed). Looking at your pages, there are obvious differences to mine, but I can understand your pages just as easily as my own. It's not like we're a professional group or anything (I'm actually like the complete opposite thanks to my non-knowledge of Japanese lol) so if we wanna consolidate then we can just PM each other for opinions since we're the only 2 actively updating the pages atm. Anyways, gonna hit the sack, but I'll reply tomorrow if there's any other concerns. Will do, I'll name them such from now on. Should I rename the ones I've uploaded already?
  12. Thanks lol, my only real complaint with the JP wiki was that it looked pretty bland, so this was a way to help pretty up the page and make the suit easily recognizable for beginners/newcomers to the suit. For anyone who wants to use them, I got them from here (though you'll need to get an account on the wiki before you can upload images). Alternatively, feel free to PM me and I can upload and add the image for you :P
  13. Sorry for the long delay. Ez8 is up! Basically everything except the combos section is done (the formatting on the wiki tables makes this my least favourite part for sure lol). Added a few more flourishes with the colors to mimic the JP wiki. I already started formatting this page like I had the past, so I just kept it as is, basically identical to the JP wiki. Feel free to make corrections if you see any, and shoutouts to adn for the Tactics, Burst, Partner & Cautionary sections.
  14. My bad you two, thought from the HUD it was EXVS lol, just glanced at the first 10s. But good find though, I really wish I knew Japanese and could find these high level vids for other suits
  15. It's still pretty relevant, but IIRC his 8B got nerfed so some of those shenanigans might not be possible, or at least not as viable anymore
  16. I'm like 99% following the JP wiki, and there they have a heading specifically for Burst Discussion, which is why I include it. That being said, the JP wiki itself isn't 100% consistent (some pages don't have all the headings), so I feel like as long as its nothing too radical it's not a super big deal. And I'll do my best to keep things accurate, but my japanese is non-existent, so forgive me if something looks out of place or incorrect, and feel free to correct it.
  17. From what I can tell from a quick glance at the JP wiki, Throne Drei is a fairly simple suit. Most of your neutral game revolves around your standard BR & CSA, with 5Sub (Eins gerobi) and dir+AC (Zwei rush) being your best assists. Her firepower is lower than that of many other ranged suits primarily because her assists have excruciatingly long reloads (20s), so you really have to make the most of them. What differentiates her from other all-purpose suits is her BC, so you really have to maximize it if you want to get the most out of Throne Drei. That being said, you obviously have to have a competent (and ideally a 3000 cost) partner to make the most of it, so it might not be the best suit for random shuffle play.
  18. Yep. SA is for sure superarmor. You'll most commonly see this in Burst Attacks, for obvious reasons.
  19. So, another quick translation question for Delta Plus Thanks in advance! いつでもデルタ救出に向かえるということもあって、他の機体より慎重に距離をとりながら積極的にL字の選択肢を選んでいくのもいいだろう。
  20. Follow-up is more than fine with me. It's a lot easier to type than "derivation" :P It shouldn't take me too long to switch all of 'em, I'll do it sometime in the week. Thank god for Ctrl+F. My main gripe with BD Melee is that, for BD melees with multi-hit stages, it becomes impossible to differentiate how many hits of each stage you want. For example: The O = BD Melee (2hit) > 2B Since the 1st and 2nd stages are both 2 hits, it becomes impossible to tell if that means 1 hit on each stage or 2 hits of the 1st stage only. I'm personally for BD8B/BDB for this reason, but that's just me. For stuff like Gyan's BDB, I've seen the JP wiki use notation like BDB X 9 (which = BDBBBBBBBB) to reduce the headache. Yeah, that's true about the BDB notation, clarification is important for new players. We really do need a glossary page at some point, though brett's Beginner's Guide does such a good job of it already (can we just copy+paste it from there wholesale?). As for tweaking The O's page, it is an open wiki and free to change, but I'm honestly curious as to what you disagree about. Most of the stuff I (tried to) translate from the JP wiki, which is itself not a 100% reliable source either since it too is open for anyone to edit. That being said, I don't remember ever suggesting YOLO hugs are a good idea. 6B & 8B are both his best melee combo starters, and in both the 2B Melee Properties and the Tactics sections I say that it has no cut-resistance and takes a while. As a personal note, stars don't mean anything with regards to player skill or game knowledge. Saying you're "4 stars" doesn't mean that you don't make mistakes ingame or on the wiki that don't need correcting :P I just got the game last week, so I have 1 star on each suit, but I can beat people who have 3+ stars who haven't learnt the game mechanics & more advanced techniques. It all comes down to how much you want to invest in the game/how competitive you want to get.
  21. I agree for the most part, but BD melee is extremely tedious to type, and I dunno how you'd indicate how many stages of the BD melee you do in the combo (i.e. Quanta BD melee bbb > BD melee bb???) Aside from that, I'm doing everything else as you listed I think. I currently use ~ to denote derivations (or whatever we're gonna call em), but it doesn't make too much of a difference I guess. And thanks again for the translation brett-sensei
  22. One last question for Ez8 (almost done). This is with regards to his Burst Attack, it's talking about its relation to the EX gauge I think...? 更に1発目の攻撃で落とされなければ覚醒落ちにはならないので覚醒落ちを防ぐ使い方も出来る。 Thanks!
  23. I used BDB since some of the other threads used it, and I'm lazy. I'm fine with switching it to BD8B if you guys really want, Ctrl+F solves that problem pretty easily. And I'm fine for using "origination", instead of "derivation", I just used it since it was the Japanese translation :P EDIT: Whoops, misread lol. @brett, if you decide on a specific terminology to use, let me know!
  24. Thanks akai and brett. Sorry for being quiet for so long, but I've been working on this in my free time between studying for the MCAT. I have wiki pages lined up for Xi, Banshee, and Kshatriya (units I've become partial to now that I have the game :P) so I'll be doing those. If anyone has any requests, feel free to ask here or message me, otherwise I'll just do them in order of my own personal interest.
  25. 1k suits are actually rarely rear guards. You are usually playing as a front along with a 2.5k partner. You can't really play a dedicated rear role since your team will have less firepower than a team involving a 3k, and you'll just lose in a conventional neutral game. Rather than hanging behind your partner, you should be on the frontlines with your partner. You have to wary of dying twice before your partner does though, since you're fairly fragile. 2.5k-1k is a good team comp for stability purposes, since the 2.5k doesn't get overcosted unless you're really reckless and die twice. This leaves you with 3.5 lives in total, which is a significant amount of Burst & HP to work with. Basically, since you have so many lives, you're looking to trade health with your opponents and win in a damage race. Since there's less risk of overcost compared to teams with a 3000, there's less chance of getting screwed unless you die twice before your partner does. Unfortunately I only play Ez8 for 1ks, so I can't really help you on the suit specifics
