  1. Good lord there are a lot of 2000s, so yeah, WIP obviously. Keep in mind that most my work is off Google translate, though I'm fairly confident in my translations (I tried to stick to the simple stuff) and almost 100% certain in the combo notations. If there's been any mistake, which there undoubtedly will be, the docs can all be commented on, so feel free to correct me or add things you see missing. If you guys want to add these to your own threads, feel free! All I ask is that you credit me with the link at the beginning. If anyone has a specific request below, feel free to ask, I've just been kind of going through them arbitrarily. I want to eventually get to everyone, but certain suits already have very good analyses already, so I'll likely save those for last if I can. Hambrabi (credits to adn for updating with tactics/burst/partner data!) Dragon Spiegel Heavyarms Forbidden Gunner Exia Delta Plus Rozen Zulu Kshatriya Gerbera Tetra Stargazer If you do add a comment for correction purposes, please reply in this thread OR message me. I'm way too lazy to frequent every individual unit page to look for comments, so it'd be way easier and faster for me to make corrections if you message me on this forum personally.
  2. This is gonna be WIP for a long time, since there are so many 2500s for me to go through Keep in mind that most my work is off Google translate, though I'm fairly confident in my translations (I tried to stick to the simple stuff) and almost 100% certain in the combo notations. 3. I'm not denying the rock has some uses, but it is very situational. The big thing is you can't be spamming your unlimited BRs while you're charging it, which can hamper your damage output
  4. BDbb >> BDbb --> CSa is far more cut resistant 4 less damage (248), and is probably his BnB off BDb if you've been charge partitioning. BDb >> BDb > ac is fine for a quick down, but the first 2 hits of BDb are cut-resistant enough that it's usually worth going for (BDbb >> BDbb > ac). Though that might be what you mean, you just might be missing the 2nd b input
  5. DA ROCK attracts ASSISTS towards it so they won't hit you, so it's very limited in application. I'm pretty sure they don't cut guidance on any other projectiles (BRs, BZs, etc.). And 2.5k Zeta's CSb does not heal the target. It only reloads the ammo that would otherwise be reloaded by a Burst activation.
  6. Just as an aside, although the damage is high, the main reason that those combos aren't in the wiki is that Hi-Nu's 8bb string has fairly poor range, and is very slow and easy to cut (you're completely stationary while doing the punch combo). Those combos are fine to do if their partner is on the other side of the screen/respawning, but is easy to cut otherwise. Very situational, and Hi-nu's strength isn't in the melee game anyways (though he has a very strong one for a ranged suit). In general for melee combos, the wiki has more combos for the more practical combo starters, which in Hi-nu's case are 6b and his great BDb.
  7. Thanks! And damn, that English is looking pretty good (Brett might have helped :P). And yeah, that's what I figured, Blast is just too darn good and the more reliable option most of the time. It's a bit of a shame that Burst choice is so one-dimensional most of the time, but at least the option is there to mix it up/suit your playstyle.
  8. Sorry, failed at basic reading comprehension Thanks brett
  9. What time is this going to happen today (if it is)? Depending on the time I'd like to watch it live if I can so I can ask questions just to get a better understanding of the game. Hoping to see some new FB suits on display if there are any replays of them :P
  10. Thanks! Also if you do make an edit, please comment in this thread OR message me. I'm way too lazy to frequent every individual unit page to look for comments, so it'd be way easier and faster for me to make corrections if you message me on this forum personally.
  11. Yeah, that's what I figured. His bonuses are godly as well, which is not as important but still notable. I've noticed in Extreme Xenon mode (final form) there's a lot of command dash --> whip thing and a lot of CSa for altered landing timings, so I guess if there's a suit that would play Assault, it would be him (he looks really fun to play, if not a little reckless). Another question would be about Zeta & ZZ, since they have their superarmour thingy in Burst. Logically, Blast Burst allows them to maintain the superarmor for longer, but I've seen a lot of vids of Assault Zeta and ZZ using their burst simply to combo into their super for a massive damage swing. I'm just not sure how viable that is, nor do I remember who their partner was (I would think it would make more sense in a 2.5k-1k comp rather than a 3k-2.5k comp)
  12. Alright, so I'm lazy and I've decided to just post all of my Google Docs for the individual 3000 units here. I'll be working on 2500s, 2000s, and 1000s as time goes on, though finals are starting for me soon so it'll be a lot more sporadic. Oh, and Ex-S is still missing, I forgot about him. I'll add him later too :P Nu Sazabi Hi-nu Xi V2 Master Wing Zero TV Epyon DX Wing Zero EW Turn A Turn X Strike Freedom Destiny 00 Reborns Quanta Unicorn Full Cloth Ex-S (Credits to akai_GO for this translation, which is way more legit and comprehensive than mine) Let me know ASAP if a link is not working/incorrect, and enjoy!
  13. Regardless, from what I've seen MA Mode seems to still be next to useless. Never seen any Epyon player transform for a legitimate reason IIRC, though I might be wrong. The wiki doesn't talk about it, there are no combos leading from it, and there's next to nothing in the description for both MA Mode moves. So mainly just for gimmicks and style I guess (though wagging your tail wouldn't exactly be my definition of style LOL)
  14. Here's something I compiled myself. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Yxu3gzhkT9lg0Wkdcc1jAznBIpQHHNP7-MJFT_7tbOs/edit?usp=sharing It's Google translated from the JP wiki, so take it with a grain of salt, but I'm confident in the combos section and fairly confident in the moveset descriptions. The combos in particular show that it's more efficient to just go straight into 2BC ender for the most part. Feel free to comment if I've made a mistake or missed something, but opinions like "the combos suck" and stuff will likely be ignored, since these are directly from the JP wiki
  15. Yeah, I understand. Assault just seems so uncommon, so I'm just trying to understand when and why suits would pick Assault. And I've seen your Gyan play in FB, looks sick, his jump melee (2b) into CSa and stuff is pretty great, and CSa itself is insanely good. With regard to 2.5k, do you happen to know about Extreme Xenon? I want to try out the Extremes due to their new mechanic, but I'm unsure if Assault or Blast would be preferable. He doesn't seem to have any noticeably important reloads, and his bonuses are G Gundam level (+22% damage +20% defense in Assault, +5% damage +30% defense in Blast). Assault makes him basically Master-lite with dat buffed 6b. I'm sure he meant no offense, I can tell his English isn't too amazing yet. It's undeniable that the metagame in Japan and other Asian countries that have access to arcades are much further along than ours. They've had the game for nearly 2 years now, but we'll catch up. It's the same with SF4, back in '08 when it first came out Japanese dudes like Daigo were just beasting on the US, but now the playing field is practically level (though Japan definitely has better overall players IMO).
  16. OH, I see, forgot about G Gundams' jump arc, which also semi-explains Xenon's choice in Assault. Thanks brett, I'm getting a better understanding of the advantages and weaknesses of step cancelling, I guess it would make sense it's not an end-all-be-all for some suits. I haven't really seen super serious gameplay of Dragon (all I know from his changes is he has an assist with a super annoying VA sound clip LOL), Gold Frame, Stargazer or Gaia, so I honestly don't know what they can do. Exia though I've mainly seen use Blast for safety and more amekyan fun, while Blue Frame generally just goes for Blast for increased stability. Heavyarms I honestly find legitimately interesting. From what I remember trying to play him back in vanilla, he was a deceptively hard to play due to using his 8b and bc to close in to maximize MG while not getting melee'd, so I guess it makes sense that he would pick Assault.
  17. Gnite man, see you around, great meeting you :D
  18. Looking to replace your beloved Susa already? jk, but yeah, I guess Assault makes sense with Gyan. I don't recall what his super is tbh, but you'd be the one to know if it's good, so I'll take your word for it :D I don't think aiming to defensively Full Burst is ever something you want to do, though it does happen often enough I guess LOL, and I agree that it doesn't really suit Gyan's playstyle Any other 2ks that would use Assault? Tari mentioned Gunner for EX super obviously, though it's very dependent on preference and team comp I think. And are you serious about that 14min Wing Zero TV-Zeong mirror? If anyone could provide a link, I'd appreciate that. In a game like this, that's the equivalent of a 1/2 hour long match of SSBM, which has happened before...
  19. I feel like this is a good formula to live by if you aren't sure which Burst type to pick (even if its Blast like 90% of the time anyways). I might post an editted version of this in an update to the OP, if that's ok?
  20. Again, thanks for the indepth breakdown LOL, it makes a lot of sense. Assault Susa makes the most sense logically, I just hadn't seen much footage of Susanoo in FB to be honest. Thinking on other melee-centric 2500 suits, like Extreme Xenon and Deathscythe, are there any reasons to use them in Assault? I've seen Xenon mainly used in Assault (Master Gundam 6b too stronk methinks), but Deathscythe I've primarily seen in Blast since his amazing assist is now reloadable, and he can play a much more solid back role now. @brett: I'm guessing you play more Delta Plus now? (I remember you liking him from vanilla) Segueing into 2000 cost suits, are there any that would use Assault? I cannot think of a single good reason for any of the good 2k suits to be using Assault Burst (i.e. Zeong, Delta, Kshatriya, etc.), maybe something like Red Frame but even that's situational. Edit: Also changed title to reflect move to General Discussions
  21. Yeah, I remember Gunner's Impulse super was great from vanilla, I guess she's one of the few that NEEDS to throw one out to make full use of her Burst, which makes Assault a lot more viable. Thanks for clearing that up :P And experimenting is always good, especially this early in this game's life cycle (at least here in NA). I played Gunner a fair bit in EXVS at first due to her ease of use, and I like that she's better in this game now (reloadable assist, tomahawk throw, FB game mechanics, etc.). Will probably be a fallback for me whenever I feel like playing something with a simpler and solid neutral game. Ah I see. Didn't consider the damage calcs, but it does seem a little specific for one shotting overcosted 2.5k partners. That being said though, I can understand its uses a lot better now. I still prefer Blast overall for Cherudim though, but as I said, a lot of it is personal preference. Maybe consider playing Blast for the non 3k-2.5k matchups? Just a thought :P And props to you for playing such a low-tier team, I can respect that no matter what game it's in. I'm a tier-whore/sellout myself, who would drop a main without remorse if they become significantly worse between versions LOL. Thankfully this game is quite balanced, so I'll just be experimenting with stuff for a while once I get my hands on it in a month's time or so. I play the super-unbalanced Super Smash Bros. Melee too, and I top tier all day every day in that game :P
  22. I see, I guess Blast really is that amazing. I guess I can understand why so many players use it so much. Thanks, I understand a lot better why Blast is so popular. Though it doesn't explain why AutomaticCat was playing Assault on Gunner of all things XD And we definitely need more LOVE LOVE TENKYOKEN man, none of that double god finger bullshit with sailor moon gundam I mean it summons the burger king, which is basically my username but with a letter interchanged Oh, ok. I see, I see. Trans-Am Susanoo the Pizza God. If only Graham was Italian... But yeah, I know brett mained Susanoo in vanilla, does he still play them now? I know he played Susa a couple of times when he was playing with Ogu on stream, and I recall he picked Assault, but maybe step-cancelling pizzas is too good to pass up?
  23. Ah ok. I was referring to Z-001's example specifically since that was the team comp listed, but Susanoo makes more sense for a more double-front type team with Epyon. BTW, that's a suit that gains next to nothing from Blast outside of its better BD efficiency and duration. Unlimited ammo on its CSa pizza, no reload on Trans-Am (thus nothing important to reload), so I can see Assault being used on it too. Is step cancelling CS really good? It seems step-cancelling anything is very good with the fuwastep buff in this game, but since I haven't played it yet I can't test it for myself T___T Honestly all this talk is making me jealous, I wanna play so bad >
  24. The tactic you've stated is sound and makes sense, I'm definitely not disputing that. Epyon is bad because he has to get in super close to be exerting pressure on your opponent, but Cherudim can help mitigate this through quick downs from Main and Shield Bits. "Rush down" might be a bit much though, considering that Cherudim's main punish is still really just going to be a mid-range sniper shot. My main question is why Assault is preferable to Blast in this situation? Assault Blast does not offer a super significant damage buff (~15 extra damage on your Main, yay), which is it's only contribution aside from the situational less EX gauge consumption on a defensive Burst. Comparatively, you lose out on step cancelling your sniper, missiles, bits, etc. and lose out on the improved boost efficiency and reload on Shield bits in particular, all of which you would gain in Blast. Again, the Epyon X Cherudim team tactic and play is sound, but I just can't understand why Assault would be preferable for Cherudim in particular. As I stated before, Blast for Epyon is certainly acceptable, my main argument was your statement "Always use Epyon in Blast", which is blatantly untrue in my opinion. If there's any suit that that statement is most appropriate for, it would be Cherudim.
