  1. Thanks Z-001, added the latter part about directionally-influencing the Sub. Could you elaborate what you mean about the first sentence? So Sub --> Sub has them retract back to you faster? I'm not surprised I mistranslated, this suit has very unique weapons so the wiki had quite a bit to mention.
  2. Added Ex-S (DLC) [20/20]!!! Shoutouts to akai_GO again for a great translation, way better than what I could/would be willing to do. Thanks again! And with that, 3000s are complete for now, though I'll be adding more stuff with revisions and the like once I'm done the rest of the suits (which won't be for a while).
  3. Well, it's kinda hard not to say Blast is an overall better choice when you factor in tournament results and the more neutral-based gameplay mechanics of Full Boost. Many suits (even melee suits like Master) can make an argument for Blast just off blue fuwa'ing projectiles and the faster reloads, which are pretty much universally desired amongst most suits. The melee buffs of Assault are much more situational, and may not help if you're up against a scary melee suit on the enemy team (i.e. an opposing Master or Epyon). Quanta can certainly use Assault since he is a melee suit, but in general Blast is preferred for longer Trans-am AND faster Zabanya & shield bit reload, alongside more boost. Unlike Master and other melee suits, Quanta has a standard BR, an amazing assist, and shield bits to let him close in and force approaches, so refilling these are incredibly useful, and important to getting damage against the stronger neutral suits. Again, it is down to preference, but just from what I've seen a common method of using Blast is to use up your shield bits and Zabanya assist, burst, use Zabanya for mixup/oki opportunity, and you'll have another Zabanya and refilled Shield Bits much sooner thanks to faster reload time on Blast. Assault can be better in the close range situation, but it can be hard to force these kinds of situations if you're up against a high-tier team with a strong neutral game.
  4. Added Rozen Zulu [8/41]! A very unique and interesting suit, definitely one I want to try out once I get my hands on Full Boost. Also, increased denominator since Gato's Gelgoog is now out
  5. ...? Unless I'm mistaken, there hasn't been an update recently (IIRC they don't release balance patches anymore since they've started Maxi Boost, it was the same with EXVS if I'm not mistaken). He's still an S-tier suit, so...
  6. Added Banshee [14/28]! If you're wondering why it looks so much more professional than the previous docs, it's all thanks to akai_GO, who did hte translation for Banshee! His notes for movesets and combos are way more comprehensive than mine, and he even colour-coded efficient combos for your convenience. Now you guys can enjoy abusing this S-tier hunk of NT-D bulls**t even better
  7. My least favourite cost (sorry 1k fans) since I like being OP and this is basically the opposite But I don't discriminate, so here we go! Keep in mind that most my work is off Google translate, though I'm fairly confident in my translations (I tried to stick to the simple stuff) and almost 100% certain in the combo notations. If there's been any mistake, which there undoubtedly will be, the docs can all be commented on, so feel free to correct me or add things you see missing. If you guys want to add these to your own threads, feel free! All I ask is that you credit me with the link at the beginning. If anyone has a specific request below, feel free to ask, I've just been kind of going through them arbitrarily. I want to eventually get to everyone, but certain suits already have very good analyses already, so I'll likely save those for last if I can. Puru (Qubeley Mk-II) Berga Ez8 Tank (Hildolfr) If you do add a comment for correction purposes, please reply in this thread OR message me. I'm way too lazy to frequent every individual unit page to look for comments, so it'd be way easier and faster for me to make corrections if you message me on this forum personally.
  8. LOL sure. I know the feels, don't even have the game yet because of school. College I assume (or university depending on where you're from)? Last question before bed. Practically done Ez8 doc (his melee moveset and combos are pretty barren), but this popped up in one of his combos. No clue what it is, my guess would've been 6bc, but bc is his mode switch so... 右特 Here's his wiki page: http://www4.atwiki.jp/arcgundamexvsfuvo/pages/89.html
  9. Thanks! And that's a shame, but I can see why (IIRC he was good early on in FB before they nerfed him). Out of curiosity, who do you play now? I remember seeing footage of you in SCR, playing Reborns (?) And aside from bumping his cost up to 2500, I dunno much about his changes in Maxi Boost tbh :P Thanks for clarifying, I understand what you mean more now. I knew this tactic was abused a lot in vanilla with Quanta especially (play keep away until Shield Bits are up), I guess I should've expected this to be the same in Full Boost. And while I get that Master CAN play a neutral game thanks to CSb and his mobility, I feel like in an even matchup he can't play the neutral game forever and expect to win against an equally-skilled opponent using a more range-oriented suit (i.e. Reborns), and has to go in at some point. And I guess those videos don't get posted since it doesn't make for exciting matches, which makes sense as to why I don't see more of it. Thanks for the clarification.
  10. Here's a compilation of JP vids, organized based on suit: http://horibuna.web.fc2.com/EXVSFB/index.html You'll need to make a nico account, but it's very handy if you just want to watch some gameplay when you're picking up and learning a suit. It has both console and arcade vids, with more recent vids primarily being console and older vids being from arcades. It only has a few gameplays of DLC suits, but has a vast collection of vids from the original suits.
  11. Thanks Dakanya! BTW I hope you don't mind if I ask for your help once I get around to Heavyarms :P (he's the only Endless Waltz suit I have left and I'm kinda OCD so I like completing series of suits at a time).
  12. I agree there's some degree of player preference and style involved, but it's hard to deny that certain suits favour certain ranges/strategies over others. Certainly you can be offensive with ranged attacks, but your optimal range is farther than melee suits, for example. Defensive Epyon and Master are certainly roles that can be played, but at the highest level you won't really see it since you'll be losing the damage race in a standard neutral game with these suits (unless you're facing an extremely weird or melee suit combination). The problem with boosting backwards is that you go outside your suit's firing radius, which is referred to as Out-of-Angle. This means when you fire your BR your suit verniers and must turnaround before firing. The increased startup makes it impossible to zunda unless your opponent is very close. Hit-confirming BR zundas is somewhat tricky at farther ranges. At the tips of your red lock range you can't really visually hit-confirm them, you just have to judge it based on how much boost you think your opponent has left, and if you think you're going to get a solid punish/cut.
  13. And to follow up those long-ass posts, a translation question! So I finally decided to do a 1k just to make a 1k thread, and I decided to do Ez8 since he's the most interesting to me (top-tier ftw). This pops up a lot in his combos, and I'm assuming it's 4ac though I'm not entirely sure: 左特 Thanks again, sorry for the hassle
  14. WZC's main is excellent, and it's his primary damage source obviously. You can step during it, and muzzle correction is applied throughout (when you fire, WZ's aim constantly adjusts while the beam is out). Try to avoid spamming Main too much though, it has a long reload (4 seconds per ammo) so you can find yourself running low if you abuse it too much. Sub is kind of situational, I've mainly seen it used at closer ranges to intercept approaches (meleeing opponents may run into it) and amekyan out of it (Sub --> Main) for a safer landing in hairy situations. CSa has a long charge time, but is a decent option against an unsuspecting opponent due to its great hitbox and 360 spin. Avoid mCSa, it's pretty bad. bc is a very good self-defensive/mobility option, depending on if you do it raw or during a BD respectively. Here's a link for the Google Doc page I pseudo-translated, if you haven't looked at it already: Wing Zero EW You'll notice the combo section is very brief and small, you generally don't want to be engaging in melee/be in melee range at all most of the time, and his melee is fairly lacklustre. He commonly just hits once and rainbow steps/fuwasteps into Main for a quick down.
  15. IMO, aggressive in this game more refers to the preferred positioning of the suit rather than necessarily going YOLO or not. Flying around and punishing landings is great, and it's what you should do for any suit. However, depending on your suit, you have tools that have optimal ranges to be used at that will determine the position you want to be in with respect to your opponent. The goal is to keep your opponent in your optimal range and outside theirs (spacing, in other words). Defensive suits will likely be retreating/giving ground in the neutral game, due to weakness or having a specific tactic that lends itself to that. You'll notice most of the suits in this category (V2, Strike Freedom, hi-nu) are fairly low on the tier list because of this. Giving ground is never really desired, but against other 3ks they don't really have a choice due to lacking the tools to win an extended neutral game (in V2 and hi-nu's case, lacking tools outside their timed buff). Your partner will be aiding your defense, trying to form a defensive wall to keep opponents out and continue the ranged game. Additionally, boosting backward has an inherent boost penalty, though you never really want to be boosting directly backward unless you want to get nailed from behind. Neutral suits are generally good mid-long-ranged suits with fairly strong tools, and prefer simply maintaining a gap between them and their opposition. They'll generally pursue defensive suits to apply pressure, while maintaining a solid distance from aggressive suits, keeping them from utilizing their best tools as best as possible. Suits like Reborns, Sazabi, and WZC are fine playing a very well-spaced, controlled, and drawn-out neutral game, that will likely result in them winning if they can maintain it. Their partners will be following their lead, retreating and approaching as necessary. Aggressive suits want to actively push in to best abuse their tools. A prime example is Turn A, who has some ranged tools (Sub BRs, Kapool assist) but wants to get in range to abuse Main zunda'ing (Hammer) and 2bc mixups. Your goal isn't necessarily to go YOLO and be boosting right at your opponent, but use your neutral tools as best as possible and capitalize on any openings to approach by moving in or getting quick downs for a safe approach. Your partner should be helping you in this regard by tagging opponents to allow you to move in, or allowing you to retreat if you get too close to another aggressive unit with better tools at close-range than you (i.e. Master, Epyon). I hope this helps. I don't have EXVSFB yet, but this is from experience playing Vanilla, which I doubt has changed too much :P
  16. Added Forbidden [6/40] A short one since Forbidden is a ranged suit and fairly basic (relatively few weapons)
  17. Sweet, thanks Dakanya, appreciate it :D So it's the same as Master's 8bc (Darkness Finger). Good to know
  18. My guess here would be that 8/2 are interchangeable here (they are the same thing) and that the last character (translated into "ream") basically means cancel it before the explosion ending on Banshee's 8/2bc. Not 100% sure though, I'm just inferring based on the fact that the last character isn't present in the 5bc cancel
  19. I would definitely agree with this, with the caveat for mode-change suits like V2, Unicorn and 00 switching roles depending on their mode (i.e. 00 would 100% be defensive w/Raiser, but more neutral when not). I dunno if that's right, but if you're generalizing their modes then I'd 100% agree. Since Densuo is asking for easy suits to learn, strayed away from suits like V2, but meh. Also no Turn X, which I would probably put in Neutral? And no Ex-S, though he's DLC (and 100% defensive).
  20. Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think he literally means defensive as in "suits with defensive options," but more ranged suits that focus on the neutral game. Suits like Quanta technically have a defensive option (projectile barrier), but he's not really a defensive suit by any stretch of the imagination. Though the suit seems super common (or at least from the SCR results, dunno if it's changed since), Xi is another good ranged suit alongside Nu who is fairly basic and easy to pick up. He has an easy bc mode that you can use whenever you get it, and he has an amazing Main alongside a fairly standard funnel + gerobi suite. Sazabi is another fairly good ranged suit, though he does play a little closer than others due to his excellent CSa to abuse his multiple freefall options. He has a similar funnel + gerobi suite than Xi, but has an assist instead of a timed buff. There are more neutral-based suits, like Unicorn and Reborns, but they are much more complex due to having multiple modes.
  21. For good suits to learn with, scroll down to the 3k section: https://sites.google.com/site/unlimitedbrettworks/gundam-extreme-vs/gundam-exvs-guide/an-introduction/part-1 As for stuff to know, you're leading the match now (at least for your team), so try to position yourself in such a way to attract attention and deal damage. The exact positioning will depend on your suit (i.e. Master vs. Nu) and the matchup, but you are depending on your partner to support you while you deal the brunt of the damage or at least force openings for your partner to capitalize. There's a lot of suit-specific stuff to learn obviously, but the basis is that you're the one applying the pressure and beating the opponent down for the most part. Be very careful about rushing in and taking too much damage however, health management is still a thing and dying twice leads to a very fast loss :P
  22. Added Tallgeese & Deathscythe! [12/28] Ironically, despite Deathscythe being a melee suit, Tallgeese ended up being more work since I included a section on his unique mobility options/restrictions thanks to SV.
