Now all they need to do is fix the glitch that somehow made them think making Haku's 6D ass was a good idea.... -
If you can't see the necessity (or humor, or irony, or outright belligerence) of this thread, my prayers are with you
-
You forgot to shoutout the players who will complain about how cheap Makoto is after she got buffs
-
I just want a cookie for pulling off flashy combos
-
I find nothing wrong with this at all

I agree on one thing: getting gangbanged by the entire cast warrants at least 2-3 weeks in the lab

You can still get blown up by a number of different moves, though at max range it becomes a bit safer, although against Kishuu and Yukkikaze, I wouldn't do it -

This is exactly why in an actual match, you can't low profile 5C. The Mu would have to be braindead to throw it out while Mak is breakdancing toward her. Not to seem like I'm nitpicking, but 5C>5D>5C is a bad idea. Leaves you open to all kinds of nasty punishes (Hazama, Tager, HAKUMEN all come to mind). A Mu who knows what they're doing will j.c the stein immediately to avoid/bait counters and try to gauge the opponents reaction. Trying to follow up 5D is suicide against IDGAF characters with good reversals/punish rewards, at least without prior stein support..... -
I think the point they're trying to make is that it's kind of obnoxious, but then again, that's the FGC for you.....

You are right, Mu's 5C cannot be low profiled by 3C. A. It starts up too slow B. Mu would have to use 5C at point blank range and no one in their right mind is doing it from point blank range C. Any Mu trying to abuse 5C against Makoto is begging for Space Counter or Asteroid Vison B -
Which is why I like playing characters that no one else usually has interest in or just doesn't know how to play. I agree though, those guys need to piss off.

Not very surprising, considering CP's iteration was mostly on PSN and XBL never really had a huge player base to begin with. Maybe after EVO things will pick up as seems to be the trend, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. -

Tager vs Taokaka: No Tao we are not stuffed with food
StylisH replied to A.X.I.S.'s topic in Tager Matchups
2B is very safe -10 on block and to add insult to injury low profiles almost everything in the game. Attempting throws on Tao is risky because a LOT of her normals are either pretty good on block or able to be jump cancelled, on top of shenanigans like 214D and (2)8D near the corner. Backdashing works, but be warned that Tao can go for a hard read 6C and call you out if you're not wary of it. The problem I have with 6B against her 2A/2B is you have to hard read into it, because they have startup of 6 and 7 frames respectively, meaning you can't toss it out into her strings for free, even if she resets with 5B (also 6 frames) so I'd personally have to see it in action. Might have to pull my Tao off the shelf for this new version and test it out. -
Tager vs Taokaka: No Tao we are not stuffed with food
StylisH replied to A.X.I.S.'s topic in Tager Matchups
Because they're fast, almost gapless, can reset pressure, lead to ridiculous TRM setups, and she can pretty much do them for free against Tager when he doesn't have meter because she can jump out of 360/720 with no problem. Which leads to a knockdown and back into 2A/2B hell for Tager. -

I for one like flashy and lengthy combos. Brings a feeling of accomplishment to pull them off, especially if they're high in difficulty. -
That's a great way to eat a fatal confirm if you ask me. While his 5A is pretty good, it's not above being called out, even in netplay.
