  1. I remember getting the Domestic Battery trophy randomly in CSE and laughing my ass off
  2. He has way more negatives than positives however
  3. CP and 1.1 as well
  4. Is that what it means? Man, pick the poster child and have fun. /thread
  5. No. According to players who already have the game, he seems to be only a step above Terumi and possibly Arakune, which speaks for itself
  6. Free laser spam for me so I don't mind the slippery bastard Depends on the Hazama you ask
  7. I seem to get the feeling you don't like Arakune
  8. Fenrir, it is way too early to be drinking, bro
  9. I tried this character out just for shiggles and what I noticed: A) Terumi can be very fun to play with. B) Pressure/stagger ability is top class C) His design is pretty cool D) loltrollstomps E) Highest meter gain evar F) Easy to use and confirm into absurd damage G) Unfortunately, he needs certain starters (mainly 6BFC and usually OD) in order to do so H) Has a lot of problems opening people up. Usually requires 50 meter and a lot of creativity in order to do so I) Oki is just ok at best J) Needs meter for damn near everything Of course most of you know this, but this is what I figured out after playing about 200 matches in casuals with him. IMO, all Terumi really needs to shoot up a few tiers is a decent OH, even if it requires meter to combo off of (I mean meter gain is his specialty anyway). The potential is there, but he does have his challenges. He can be zoned w/o meter. He can be pressured w/o meter. His oki is kind of ass w/o proper spacing and/or an inexperienced opponent and his normals could use a bit more range. In all, for me he's a fun character to tool around with on the side, but to be a contender at the very least give the man an OH Arc. Without a decent mixup threat outside of throw/j2D/low mash 6B frame trap, he will remain last in the cast. And that's just for starters.
  10. Thanks SKD. They seem to be able to tech before I get to this point, but I'll just work on it til I get it down pat.
  11. Good Lord that's disturbing
  12. Character wise, I'd say Terumi for BBCP, Faust for Xrd, and maybe Yu for P4U, but in the end it all comes down to preference. As a side note, there's already a thread for questions like these....
  13. I've wondered about that, because unless he gained something to make up for his horrible lack of mobility and slow normals, then the struggle will be real again. Maybe I'm missing something....
  14. The thing is, it's not just her technical difficulty. It's just how she's generally perceived. As long as people keep spouting off misinformed opinions like "Izayoi just isn't good, look at how she's bottom tier", people won't give her much of a chance. On the other hand, I actually like it that way. It separates who's going to put forth genuine effort into the character as opposed to jumping on a bandwagon, which is why I loved playing Valk for so long. It's always better to learn from a great player dedicated to his character (Dora, Goro, Kuresu, Mitsurugi, etc) than someone just hopping onto to what's hot at the moment.
  15. Honestly? I rather doubt it. With the way the easier and more popular characters are shaping up in 2.0, it seems unlikely at this point. Izayoi is a character with a steep learning curve for beginners and there is still some questions about where she ranks in the cast due to lack of a huge player base and therefore lack of exploration outside of the few who use her. I'm not saying some won't try, as there will always be those who will, though whether they stay is up in the air. I'm banking on the general community staying with Ragna, Jin, Azrael, Tager, Nu, Noel, Hazama, and even Kokonoe. The wave of change will likely turn towards Makoto (and even I'm interested in her), Celica, Bang, Kagura, and possibly Tsubaki. The mainstays (which are usually the the more technical character bases) will likely be Valk, Rachel, Carl, Amane (damn shame too), Arakune (who might actually lose players at this point), and Izayoi. Everyone else is up for debate. At least that's my 2 cents.
  16. Yeah, I typed that in on my phone. I did mean GA 3C fatal meterless.
  17. Didn't Goro play Koko for a while?
  18. This was basically what I was referring to
  19. Mori is ALWAYS trolling. An Izanami system voice would be nice. The ability to select BGMs from previous BB games would be nice as well.
  20. Just don't make the mistake of underestimating her, especially in normal mode. Any hit can turn into 6 stocks and pretty good corner carry or 4 stocks and oki with a safejump and GA shenanigans on your wake up. The best way to deal with her (at least until 2.0) is to pin her down early and prevent her from gaining stocks, which is a helluva lot easier said than done in neutral. In 2.0 all bets are off when it comes to just staying on her ass (thank you, based Aegis Blade invul frames).
  21. .....damn you Hazama. I see people still don't know that Izayoi is secret S tier yet. The plan is coming to fruition.
  22. Well, you know America, land of the free
  23. No one? Eh, they'll be back in 2.0 I guess....
  24. In Laymans' terms, screwing up the connection to get a distinct advantage in online games. Mostly you see it in CoD, but you'd be hard pressed to find it in fighting games, because the person doing it would have to literally stop fighting in order to do so.
