  1. Trial by fire is usually the best way to learn in the FGC
  2. I use Izayoi or Bullet and get called a special snowflake. I use Valk or Mu and get called a tier whore. So much love.
  3. I would love to see Makoto better oki and A Astral Vision with projectile invul, but that may be asking too much. I'm just glad Bullet got Miqulet Capture invul and brake.
  4. In 1.1 Koko doesn't really have to worry too much about resources. In 2.0 we'll see if you're singing to the same tune. High level play is a lot like a chess match: Move and counter move. Knowledge of your opponents options and knowing the necessary tools to limit them. Not showing all your options on the first go through and bringing your A game on defense. And that's just a fraction of it. It's a LOT more than the rock/paper/scissors that is throw/block/attack.
  5. Barrier will always be an issue. Some say it was too good in CP, others will now say it won't be good enough. Can't please everyone.....
  6. Just imagine they're at home playing in their underwear. Hell it works for stage fright.
  7. Rainbow overheads too strong......
  8. Would have to test it, but I highly doubt that Edit: Nope, got tagged anyway
  9. Oh, the scandal
  10. I get what he was saying, but that still doesn't......wait why the hell are we discussing genetic traits when the topic is about core skills that every great player has mastered?!
  11. Forgive me for seeming ignorant, but I'm not seeing where using your mouth to play a video game pertains to genetics, unless somehow one or more of his parents did? I'm just saying to me it seems more like determination and learning to use different tools in order to play (and win), which has very little to do with his genetic makeup. As it stands, genetics are physical traits, not (proven yet to be) mental or emotional. You can be the smartest person in the world and your kid could be a complete dumbass. I'm just not buying into genetic ability, especially when there's no proof due to none of these guys having parents playing on the scene.
  12. Well this was an interesting read. That's one way of looking at it I guess.
  13. I watched a guy with a disability body people in Street Fighter using his mouth . Genetics had nothing to do with it. You can have the best hand eye coordination in the world and get blown up all day by someone more skilled. If this where perhaps sports I could maybe see your point, but video games? Not buying it sorry.
  14. 3 words: Play the game. The only way to get better is to practice and play. The more you do something, the easier it gets. Repetition is an awesome teacher. My advice, stick to training and playing as many matches and players as possible. Trust me, you'll see improvement, you just have to grind it out.
  15. They exist. They're simply irrelevant to fighting game skill.
  16. I hate to state the obvious (and most important) thing of all. The first step is to learn how to block. That's not a joke. I see tournament players all the time who refuse to want to block, and the whole time I cringe while thinking "why?"
  17. Hey, sometimes stereotypes are spot on. Some people just need to get off the couch, bro. Sounds about right. Or prepping to anit-air Blood Spike 3 years in advance only to get blown up by lolnetplayhitboxson
  18. At this point, the only thing I believe about the release date is 2015.
  19. Oh. Well, pass....
  20. Sadly enough, I have no trouble whatsoever believing someone actually said this
  21. Maybe they were late for a date? Nah I can't even say that with a straight face.
  22. I....can't read Japanese?
  23. I just like being able to gain stocks matchups where they're difficult to come by (Nu, Tao, Mu, etc)
