  1. If they're mashing, they're not teching throws. Make them choke on pink until they get the message.
  2. If he left holes in his pressure to be mashed out of, he can't really blame anyone but himself. I thought Jin thrived on resets and frame traps
  3. You have no idea. Especially if they drop a micro-dash combo.
  4. Yeah I know it's a double post, but it just came to mind.... People who undermine you winning a match, simply because of your tactics, character, rank, hell even your costume color (I'm serious on that one). If I lose, I learn from it, congratulate the other guy, and move on. Some players forget that it's just a game after all. When I can pay bills or score points with the ladies by playing fighting games, then I'll be a bit more serious. Until then, IT'S JUST A GAME.
  5. Sounds about right. 5A tha gawd (online)
  6. My playing time right now is highly inconsistent due to work and school. I probably will be able to be around more often after this month, my schedule is insane.
  7. Games not so bad for me now. Maybe it was the character. Labrys wasn't cutting it.
  8. Ragna, Noel, Jin, Bullet, Tager, Terumi, and Kokonoe are pretty good for beginners. Lord knows they have enough cheese.
  9. That character can do some funnny things in netplay.
  10. *cough*Tager*cough*
  11. I thought Az and Carl were pretty good fot Valk. Got some homework to do.....
  12. I doubt Tao has any. The guy who got me into BB plays a mean Tao and he makes her look almost broken. As for Valk, I have troubles with some match-ups (Tao, Nu, Litchi, Bang) but I feel its more about how well you take advantage of his defense. If your character has good mix-ups and ways to reset pressure (Litchi, Rachel, Bang, Kok-annoy etc) you can beat him. It's just that his neutral and mix-up are insane and ironically you have to be really good at both to beat him.
  13. Not really good, but there is some there. If you get caught in human mode blockstrings in the corner he has enough time to regain wolf meter. Then you're back to the 50/50 show. And against a character where blocking is a bad option, I can see why players feel the way they do.
  14. Challenge mode combos aren't usually practical IMO. They mostly serve as an introduction to what a character is capable of. And trust me, as long as you keep it up in training mode, execution will not be a problem.
  15. I realize he's on offense quite a bit but this isn't like Extend where he pretty much had wolf meter ALL the time. And human mode can only keep someone at bay for so long. At some point Valk HAS to block, and that is where his handicap lies.
  16. I knew I wasn't alone ^_^ I use d-pad though
  17. The downside to playing Valk is he is all offense. If you can't block, you won't win. There are plenty of characters who give him problems, especially with his wolf meter regen nerfs (Tao, Bang, Mu, Raga, LITCHI {tha gawd}, and even Noel). Playing Valk is giving up a lot in the name of offense. I will not turn a blind eye, however, to the fact that he is top 5 in CP and most of the hate he generates is due to one mistake and you're in the corner eating his vortex.
  18. The wrong way is generally when playing Blazblue like Street Fighter
  19. The online way is definetely a standalone practice
  20. What you have to remember is the 3 ways to play this game: the right way, the wrong way, and the online way.
  21. Execution is never a problem. It depends on how dedicated to training mode you are, so no worries there. I use pad (hoorah) and I can play everyone (except Bang; I hate command normal air combos) so that also shouldn't be a problem. Tiers aren't that big a deal in BB as opposed to SF. Some characters just have to work harder to win. As far as characters go, play with who suits you best, be it Makoto or Litchi or whomever. It's a personal choice, not a community poll.
  22. Bodying an entire lobbby of mics is sexy. The sodium levels go through the roof.
  23. How someone takes a loss is their problem. Why we have to have a debate about it is puzzling.
  24. It's not the characters, just the flow of the game for some reason. It's difficult to explain.
  25. For some reason, I simply can't get into this game. It just doesn't interest me as much as GG or BB or even MB
