Its gonna be interesting, to say the least. Nice to see high tier Ragna, but I was hoping Noel would get a bit higher, even if that meant by everyone else getting weaker. Maybe thats selfish of me, but whatever.

If her close range options were buffed enough to make up for the lack of long range tools, I think she'd be solid enough. I do think they could have gotten away with adding a bunch more things unique to her while nerfing or removing things that makes her overly similar to Nu. A character rework, if you will. Natually, she'd need to keep a bunch of the same stuff, like her appearance and Drive attacks, but everything else is flexible, tbh.

I've getting more and more attached to "The Highlander" as a personal theme. I'm one of the best players in my local play group, so when my turn to play comes around, I select this song and I remind everyone there that this is a game I slave over for hours.

Well, yea. This is true, but comparing the difference between versions is much different than between the difference between games. Saying everyone will know what they are doing in MKX and Tekken 7 is a bit overboard. CPE is still CP, so most of the things you know still apply in some form. Evo is just going into MKX and Tekken 7 blind in a similar manner as pre ordering a game without checking reviews. We dont know if they are bug free or such, less so Tekken since the Japanese have already been playing it and know it works. I feel I need to clarify something. I'm not shitting on other games, in fact I've been rapidly expanding my collection of fighting games as much as I can, regardless of title. I just don't see why a safe pick like BB would get bumped off for games we dont even know if they work properly yet. As I said before, MK could launch as a buggy mess for all we know.

But, its not like CP 1.1 is outdated... I mean, CPE hasn't even been announced for US release yet. As far as we all might as well be concerned, CP1.1 is still up to date. The japanese still dont have it for consoles yet either, for that matter. Unless you can pull out your copy of CPE, the closest thing we have to being up to date is CP 1.1. And even if CPE arcade cabinets were brought over, I would be as against that as I am against Tekken 7. It would be a Japanese only club all over again. I stand by my opinion of better playing a older game that people knows than jumping the gun.

Wait, purple grabs are cheap?? The hell? Are you sure these guys are competent? I mean, I'm no expert, but if I get purple thrown, I point fingers at myself for not teching that. Green throws are one thing, but if you get purple thrown, you might as well as been hit by a overhead. I mean, lets be frank. If they claim purple throws are cheap, then they clearly are weak against throws and should be thrown more. Thats a exploitable weakness in player skill and should be capitalized on. The golden rule: If it works, keep doing it until it stops working.

This is true in all online games, especially FPS games.

I'm kinda pushing for someone to make a remix of Devil came down to Georgia using Tager's voice to sing it complete with him awkwardly trying to figure out why he's singing it, but there might be a better option... I'll think about it. In anycase, the Tier lists may be rebuilt around who can beat Tager or not. We dont know until it happens, but at least Tager isn't at the bottom of the barrel anymore.

MK will have been released almost just in time for Evo. Players will have 3 months at most to work out whats what. We'd be lucky if a tier list would even be released by then. Tekken 7 will be a Japanese only club as it will literally be the first time a majority of american players so much as touch it. Being out for longer and being known as a working, balanced game is what I want. Many people in both Tekken and MK will be playing at a very basic level, not the high skill stuff we'd want in the largest fighting game tournament in the states. Never wanted CPE, but just CP as we are all playing and are used to now. I never once even suggested CPE to be in EVO for that matter. I'm not asking for much. Showcasing MK and Tekken 7 is just jumping the gun when there are just safer options.

I don't have a ton of money, so I'm not sure if shipping myself across the country and spending a bunch on money so I can play a side tournament would be worth it. The only reason I feel I might have for doing so would be to support BB, but then again, thats a bunch of money to blow for the sake of supporting something, at least for me it is.

Still really annoyed BB didn't get in EVO this year. "I see BB had a huge turnout last year and had one of the most hype grand finals that we ever had, but we need both smash games and two unreleased games that no one will have any practice with for no particular reason, so BB will just have to sit this one out." I was planning on going this year, too. No BB kinda shoots down my primary reason for going.
