  1. Thank you for the reply. Yea, I suppose you're right, although I will say it is a tad harsh to say I deserve to lose simply because I don't have a tool to punish a mistake like I can normally with most of the BB cast. I mean, if 5B was even just a little bit faster, I've have no issue. When I say she's unsafe to play, I mean she's generally safer to make mistakes against. I just hate being blue comboed or forced to sit in a unnecessarily long block string when I could have punished it with Ragna when the mistake occurred. I do need to get better at blocking, though. I'd say I'm confident at it, but there are flaws in there.
  2. Kinda why I'm calling him superman.
  3. Welp, I came here looking for good news I hate to say it, but I might just switch to being solely a Ragna main and dropping Noel to sub. He's just a much safer pick for me right now. I've been put in the situation of needing to rely on meter to do some kind of reversal with Noel more and more lately. 4D as it is now is fine and all, but even as it is now, a competent player will just hit low where the invul doesn't apply. 6D has a similar issue and 2D as we all know is worthless for using it to avoid low attacks. I mean, I play match after match against this one Kagura, and he just applies pressure so I can't respond without meter. I then switch to Ragna and more or less tell him to take a hike. I'm at a loss. I really wanna get good with Noel, but her growing inherent weaknesses just keep piling up and I'm not skilled enough to keep up.
  4. Well, true, but technically the dlc are a part of the Extend package, so I would still technically be rebuying them. (Theoretically at a reduced cost.)
  5. I will gracefully accept Ragna's loss only if they get it right as far as research is concerned.
  6. Ooooh Ok, my mistake.
  7. Yeah, thats true too. It might be a while. Thats a bit of a relief. Yea, I suppose thats right too. Its just why do they have to do it THIS much? Thankfully the game is $20 cheaper than most (Assuming its the same price as launch CP), but it still means we gotta rebuy the game and dlc for a simple update. After getting a PS3 for this game a year ago, I can't help but feel like I'm investing way to much money into this. The primary issue I have is investing 200 on a PS3 so I could transfer over from the 360 then 80 on the limited edition. I was just hoping I was gonna get a little bit more mileage out of it. I dont mind spending more, its just I won't be able to use the money I have to expand into other games like GG Xrd and USF4.
  8. I'm not sure if thats 100% accurate. I'm pretty sure that the Blazblue is just another name for the Azure Grimoire. They pressed this point by having them say "Azure Grimoire" but "Blazblue" appears in the text box and vice versa.
  9. I just got a Ps3 JUST for this game, Its literally the only Ps3 title I own and you mean I have to replace it already?! I even got the limited edition as well. Oh hell, I dont have the cash for this at all... I have been sitting here excited about this update, but after a long time waiting, I come here to check for details and I'm more or less informed that I need to spend more cash that I dont have for yet another hard copy that will invalidate everything that came before it... Some Christmas this turned out to be...
  10. Its just a imitation, but its still the closest thing we have to the point that the characters in the series still refers to it as the Azure Grimoire, especially since Ragna got the idea engine to go with it.
  11. Unlimited Ragna isn't a bonus, it actually happens in the story when Ragna activates the idea engine. Same thing can be said about Jin, Hakumen, Hazama, Rachel, Arakune (When he eats the Azure Grimoire), Nu 13, Mu 12, and others in selective situations.
  12. So basically he's superman... thats kinda boring.
  13. Suppose theoretically for the sake of argument that Ragna somehow wins this DB, what would his best chances be at doing so? I guess what I'm asking is "Does Sol have any weaknesses?"
  14. It doesn't look like much of a reason. This wont be nearly as exciting at all.
  15. Ehh, it isn't so bad. Its more along the lines of knowing more about the game and just being a jerk, so thats usually were I step in, kick his ass to force him to hand off the controller then hand my own off to whoever was next in line. I dunno why, but I enjoy teaching people and watching them play this game.
  16. Welp, I'm not sure why they stacked Ragna up against Sol if they were this far different in power. It just suddenly seems so one sided it isn't funny. I mean, for the sake of it, I'll still be rooting for Ragna, but holy shit... vs
  17. Just for the sake of discussion and my own personal interest, how strong is Sol anyway? There was some guy somewhere on another site that said he was a class 100 or whatever. Someone care to shed some light on this for me?
  18. True, but it sucks when I lose potential players because I have one guy being a asshole.
  19. I see... I'll try to not make that mistake again.
  20. Do you mean you haven't tried the newer versions of BB at all?
  21. really? I never played Guilty Gear (I'm planning on getting GG Xrd soon) but they look pretty similar. Do people here really hate the other?
  22. Not too likely that there will a salt storm at the end of this. I mean, if you are a fan of GG, you are most likely a fan of BB and vice versa. My only issue would be how unoriginal the idea is to match up Ragna and Sol. I was hoping for something really out there like Hakumen vs perhaps the Silver Samurai? I just feel like I saw this coming.
  23. I could, but then that one would be even worse than he was. At least I could tell a bunch of these newer players to block Hakumen. They wouldn't have a clue what to do when it comes to a Tager. It might be for the better tho. I just have to make sure this new tager doesn't go ape shit.
  24. Not really a netplay thing, but when I introduce new people to the game and they freak out and refuse to play against me after I do something simple, but high damage. Also, when some of these people don't even look at the command list, and when they do, they go right to the astral. (Stooop, none of you will so much as recognize when you can even use it, look at your normal specials damn it!) It get worse because I got one friend who doesn't go easy on these new guys despite being kinda new himself and drive people away. (He's a C button spammer on Hakumen)
