  1. 2S > 2D, A stagger effect on Task C or deja vu Task C? Either way :D JS > JP... holy hell. Awesome stuff if this all sticks.
  2. I wonder how much farther away the teleport dash will make him reappear. Hopefully not too far to punish people who forget he can do that. Eager to see the 6HS changes though.
  3. Awesome, thanks for the tips guys, many things to add/subtract from my play, habits to break etc. Lots of stuff to try in training mode too. jH can beat bursts if you block? :D And yup I haven't been OSing throws at all or using seals at opportune times, gotta just get it into muscle memory.
  4. I liked the commentary :P But yeah, like Tiamat was saying, just work on your confirms. I make the same mistakes myself with things that don't chain. Also, try player matches for better connections. Guess I can add a video for review: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9D91Voia6k0 Don't be fooled by the wins, I think I just caught a lucky streak (and no Sol lol). Loss footage on the way. Note to self: remember to use the jD instant overhead, YRC tasks, stop gambling with bed flip/bedslam
  5. Chipp, Millia, I-No, Elphelt and Venom all give me problems, then comes Sol "Just Do It" Badguy" and sometimes Ky. Faust doesn't seem to give me trouble though oddly enough.
  6. If I suspect a wakeup super from her I just 882 on knockdown. Plenty of time for a big punish.
  7. Hehe, the anti-low tier rage in some posts is hilarious! It's your game, use whatever character you want. You don't owe anyone any explanation for your choices. Just don't be surprised when people give more props to a winning low tier over a winning high tier. That said, I find Bedman fun as fuck regardless of tier. With this being my first GG game I'm glad I'm able to enjoy and grab wins with this snarky bastard. This game, at least to me, feels less likely that I lose nigh-automatically at the character selection screen. Except vs Ram... Because fuck Ram lol.

    vs Ky

Anyone else been using 6H to avoid and punish his wakeup DP? Doesn't mean that Ky can't abuse you with his great normals/specials but I find it helps out. It is a simple fight though I agree.
  9. Man, watching these videos shows how much better people are at using this character than I am Looks like I still have a lot to learn.
  10. Tiamat, you might've lost but your movement is top-notch, lots of things I picked up to copy here. I really gotta abuse j.S more, as well as 886 j.K > j.S, it's a great move. The Leo player was solid too. One thing I've learned against Leo is to empty jump grab the shit outta him when you're in the air and he's in back stance. Most are waiting to counter parry bed drop if they have any familiarity with the matchup. Also, Bedman's forward walk speed tends to frighten people into wakeup DPs. If you feel you've conditioned them enough to bait it, go for it since it's safe for you too. Good match bro.
  11. I have a couple online Bedman videos on Youtube that are good quality thanks to the PS4's recording feature. Aside from a cool teleport win here 'n there, if you check 'em out don't expect anything spectacular, as I consider myself just an average player trying to learn.
  12. Just received the Hori Fighting Commander Pro 4 pad today. Wired connection, and works for both PS3 and PS4. Feels pretty responsive, but I've been using the DS4 for so long I've grown used to it. Now I've gotta train myself on this and wean myself off of the DS4. Massive amount of losses incoming.... fack!
  13. They are, but I find most people use them for wakeup attacks and save the meter for RCs.
  14. This matchup is beyond stupid for Bedman, but at least her grenade throw is slow enough that you can easily dash into it and teleport through. Great for if she's trying to zone with rifle. You can also teleport off of the grenade explosion, but the timing is extremely tight and usually not worth it.
  15. For the LONGEST time I never understood Bedman's air movement, until I finally realized that it's a quick double tap up (the second tap leaves you in the "float" state until a direction is pressed), THEN you press any direction to move. If you don't do the double tap up quickly, the second tap will send you straight upwards. I'm also using the PS4 pad... and it is horrible for me. Almost wish I bought this game on PS3 so I could use my Saturn pad. Bet the MK pad comes out in a few months... so if you have the funds you may want to pick up the Hori Fighting Commander Pro 4. I'm still waiting on mine from play-asia.
  16. LOL, that was me in the lobby last night! I only played one Elphelt but I won though. Don't know why people get so upset when people say something negative about their character. Hell, even the creator of this thread admits that Elphelt is annoying. I've had people say Bedman is stupid/OP etc. and I don't get all defensive about it. You paid for the game, play who you want. Just don't be surprised when people talk shit about a very powerful, safe and easy to use top tier character. Just keep playing dude I still luv you Icekin!
  17. Hahaha... I may absolutely think Elphelt is a brainless, short-bus rider friendly character, but that shit is comedy gold.
  18. Anybody have any thoughts about Bedman? I don't think his damage is bad, but IMO he can lose easily to mindless rushdown from Sol, Elphelt, Sin, Ky, Millia, Leo etc. By no means do I think he's a bad character though, he has some useful and annoying shit he can do, but he can't just press any button and be successful in matchups. I think he can solidly beat Pot though, and that's about it. Any other matchup does not feel easy or even, and he seems to get by with character unfamiliarity than anything else.
  19. I just want to know how to deal with projectiles that hit twice in a delayed manner (i.e. she throws it, I end up having to block it, and then I have to block the explosion later, which gives me next to no time to set up another Deja Vu). I've been doing a lot of dash teleport through slower projectiles (Venom/Ky/I-No etc). One thing you can do against Elphelt is dash teleport through the grenade so you don't have the explosion to deal with (and hit her if she's playing keepaway with rifle after grenade). You can also dash teleport off of the nade explosion, but timing is tight and risky.
  20. After a midscreeen throw I either go for the tried and true 236K, or walk up 6HS crossup > 236P as they wakeup (can cause wakeup Volcanic Viper/Grand Viper to whiff) if I have 50 tension for a high damage RRC combo if the 236P hits. I've been thrown out of 6HS though, dunno if it's a timing issue, but it can happen.

    VS May

Quick note: you can dash teleport through May's whale overdrive immediately after super flash for a big punish. Works at almost all ranges except right up close I believe.
  22. Feel free to add whatever since I don't know much but here's a few things I've noticed: - Properly timed, you can dodge Faust's teleport door/air attack with 6HS (around when the blanket is flat over him). 6HS can also autocorrect counterhit door teleport and cause air drop teleport to whiff. - The 236S of a J.HS > 236S on a crouching Faust will more than likely whiff, leaving you punishable. 236P also whiffs on a crouching Faust. - Unless I just got lucky, you can dash forward into Faust's f.5S if he's mshing it at the beginning of the round for a quick teleport.
  23. Does Millia require any work when she has someone in the corner? Seems like she can just mash whatever and hit you out of anything if you don't have a DP. I use Bedman and it just looks super braindead once you're in the corner against her... just disc > press whatever and you win pretty much.
  24. (Only tried on Sin) Anywhere on screen, 201 damage, 50 meter: 6HS starter though 6HS >236P > RC > immediately walk forward > c5S at opponent's last reeling hit frames > 5HS(2) > 1HS > 236HS Task A should return between HS(2) and 1HS for full red digit combo. Opponent is auto teched quickly out of the last hit of Task C, so block/backdash. If c5S isn't done super close and at the last frames of reeling opponent, 5HS(2) won't hit; if it does they'll be able to tech around Task C due to Task A hitting in a weird way during the combo, but they will take about 188 damage. You can also just omit cl5S and do a close 5HS(2) for slightly less damage. Quick bit of info against Faust. If he's constantly teleporting, wait til the carpet is down and press 6HS. You'll (more often than not) dodge the teleport door/dive and 6HS will sometimes hit Faust for a free combo.
  25. Know what? Fuck it, I'm gonna mess with this character a little more before I deem him too difficult for me. Bedman does have some good shit to him, and I'm still not using every option this game has for defense, plus I'm still using this PS4 pad. One thing's for sure: this dude is fun as hell once you get him going and corner pressuring. To be continued...
