I always loved short-combo'ed hard-hitting high-low mixups characters ( azrael, slayer, potemkin ... ). So rentaro is instant-main material ( though kirito will probably join too ).
Main difficulty is getting the most of nitoryu. Otherwhise he's not that hard of a character ( nothing compared to seth ).
As for assists, kino ( arguably best assist in the game ) and leafa are by far the best assists for him.
Good to hear ! Because UNIEL did get on my nerfs sometimes and i just gave up until my spare partner came home for some long hours of casuals and i'll find myself unlocking tons of money at the ed of the session.

FAB was probably betting that ky will want to run up and us is 2 hits slash after the projectile to get more pressure. So PB comes faster that the 2 hits slash.
I'm really afraid this game won't get the love it deserves outside of japan because people can't close an eye over the anime-style to enjoy what i consider the best system mechanics among the latest fighters that came out.

Straight up ! I think jumping attacks don't count as overheads unless you're on the descending part of your jump. That's the only explanation. Won't surprise me in a game with crossup protection.
