Guys i was messing with orie trying to find some instant overhead setups with j.A. I set the cpu to crouch blocking, i test it with 6b overhead : it hits. All good.
Then i do the instant overhead j.A and ... THE CPU BLOCKS ! WTF ?
The most damaging combo i have is in the corner starting with 200 meter : 2b>2c>6b 2c>236a walk back a little neutral jump j.[C] land 2b>2c>22a>236c>CS veil off 214C land 263b>IW for something like 5600 dmg.
Plus it looks hella stylish !
can someone share with me some damaging combos that don't include " release " to keep the hitstun going ?
I play on pad and the only instance i could use the release is to start a combo with it. So no long combos for me while holding the release.
J.[C] > J.A > J.B is definitly needed if you wanna optimize a combo you started with like 3C. Because if you do only J.[C], land, 3C it won't pick them up off the ground because you already used your otg.
It's not that hard you just gotta get used to J.C's charging time and press J.A as soon as it ends.
There are definitly ways to make it whiff midscreen. Gotta look, that's all.
Thing is, you're not getting much after it. Only 236a x 3 or IW ( if you were already in veil off ) are worth it imo.
Better keep the meter + cs for safe grimreapers or ex command grab followups.
Yup Merk got 3k basic combos for all situtations be it raw dive kick, overhead, low A, fullscreen grab, fullscreen poke ...
Made me pick him up as a sub instantly.
Ex command grab has invincibility. Ex grim reaper too i guess.
Neutral is mainly :
st.C > reverse beat st.A
st.C > 236a 236a
Well spaced 3C into 22a > pressure
This is the basic stuff.
