  2. October 6th is a Monday. It's pretty hard for me to join in a Monday. Did you get the date right? It also says that on October 4th the invites will start. I don't use challonge that much so I'd like to know what that means I'll try to join in but i can't promise anything
  3. First match You didn't do that bad. You clearly show that you're confident about your Adachi but to the point where you didn't show your opponent the right respect. The start of the round was pretty bad for you and if the 5AAA had landed kanji would have gotten a LOT of meter. Your jump prediction played against you so be wary of it. Then you get 2B'd by Kanji and again Grant is not able to land the 5A. Another mistake but it's fine, you got anti aired so good job by Grant. Very nice burst to avoid Kanji's beastly Fatal Counter Combo and very nicely done pressure and persona break. On 1:57:50 or so you get a Fatal on Kanji. How come you didn't go for the Heat Riser>Micro Jump loop combo? You would've goten a nice defense boost vs Kanji and could have easily done 3K to him. You also got a sweep on him before which could have meant an SB gunshot MC loop. I'm going to say that the connection wasn't that great/you weren't feeling confortable enough in the match-up. Maybe you were nervous? Even the chat said it. Then we go to what lost you the round. Kanji baited you into Mandala and D grabbed you. You might think that there isn't a good reversal for this particular option but with B Mandala you'll be invulnerable vs this grab. Same goes for D Atom Smasher. Or just jump. The three of these give you a FC on it. Second Round 5B hitting Take-Mikazuchi led to that Chair CH. Nothing you could really do but to cancel it into other thing but I'm not sure about it so I'll let it slide. Grabbed again with the lightning pressure, you didn't get DP baited. Well done and nice anti-air 2C. But you got baited. And SOMEHOW you got Kanji's burst later on. From here it just goes downhill. Another thing that I noticed with the connection or rather your unconfortable state was that you kept doing 2C in what I believe was a try to get Mandala out but just didn't get it? You'll know more than I do about this. Lastly, just don't jump that much vs Kanji or SB Take Grab will get you down, and with the new auto combo that is pretty good with Kanji. Try using Ziodyne more in this match-up, as it gives you a good chance of going in. Second Match: Really no that much to say here. You did great nullyfing his teleports and blocking his pressure. There are two or so hyper-panic DP's but they worked. It also shows your weak point of jumping and there are characters who can really punish you for that so work on it Third match: First Round Horrible round start. You ate Cross Slash entirely, DP'd and got combo'd for around 4k just like that. Good reversal but you ate another cross slash. You're an Adachi player yourself. Try to 2C it or just block it. Do not be scared of your opponent and remember that your DP takes 950 HP effectively making any combo more than 2K. Second Round That was a big mess for both of you. Really. Stop jumping when you're scared. He could've gotten you to 2C>HeatRiser>GameOver. Good catch with 5C and good fear set-ups. Third Round The other Adachi just figured you out. You got overpressured and very nervous. 2C got you good and you didn't find the way out. I'll see the rest of the matches later. I just want to point this to you: Play more relaxed and think less about your opponent overwhelming you. You are a good player yourself so you shouldn't fear others that much. Jump less or it will get you in a lot of trouble. You don't seem to DP-Trigger happy so that's a good point for you. I'm not that good of an Adachi player as I spam a lot of DP but I think you're doing great. If you find yourself without the proper way in, try to use Ziodyne vs characters such as Kanji or Teddie. It helps a lot on getting in but in other matchups it shouldn't be really used. Remember not to abuse it against Shadow Characters, as it will give them a lot of meter.

  5. I've been starting to use 5C as starter quite frequently and I've only been able to do 2K of it meterless. I'm talking about full 5C. Anyone got anything better?

  11. I've been practicing some punishes vs Minazuki's TP and Mitsuru's 5A pressure but I still can't find a way around Mitsuru's pressure. I know I can punish her after the droit, but not much more. I should also say that I included this on the wiki, but Evil Smile whiffs on crouching opponents.

  13. Thank you for your insight. It was pretty informative and iluminating! However I'd like to touch on one point. By "untechable grabs" you mean Megidola or his regular grab? Because if you're talking about the latter, Adachi doesn't get that much from it if he doesn't OMC. And yes you're right. I don't use evil smile or stance that much. Guess I should start to.

  15. I don't know if this has already been mentioned but how does the card color system work? I had a green card up until recently. What do they stand for?
  16. It was a nice breakdown. I already added 5D's unblockable to its description and I'd advice against the golden burst mechanic with Adachi. Yeah he gets a lot from it but his only defensive option is his DP and you'd be in a lot of trouble if you lose the burst. The reward is pretty big though. And to be honest, Adachi doesn't really use that much of OMB on his combos (minus some pretty specific touch of death ones) so you'll mostly use it as a defense tool. Would anyone mind playing me today? I'd like to face another Adachi player, since I feel that there is still a lot to learn.

I've edited some points of Adachi's wiki, mainly the description and differences of the following moves: Megidola,Heat Riser,Evil Smile(description only),Atom Smasher, 2B,5C,5D,J.C and the very first add to his "tips and tricks" section. Feel free to contribute/correct me.

  20. Finally managed to pull his sweep>sb gunshot juggle combo online. I felt so proud of myself ;-; I kept going to 2B instead of 2C so I spend a lot of time trying to correct it. It was on Aki. I have no idea how his hitbox works but I guess it's about Narukami's. I've given up on doing it vs Sho/Minazuki. Ah yeah in case no one noticed, our DP hits also behind Adachi. Discovered it at the same time as Ken's ability to go thunder reign on whiffed DP. On a more topic-based subject, is Heat Riser bugged? After certain moves (or maybe on certain occasions?) it does not give Adachi any blue health (super-cancel thing). I got proof on a replay so if you guys need it I can upload it to YT but I'd like if you double-checked.
  21. I was doing this today and It's pretty bad. I knew from before, but on-hit Ziodyne gives the opponent 21 meter. Fully blocked (all IB's) gives up to 61 but most people only get up to 30 or so. On hit gives Adachi 6 meter. On block, 2. In short, it's free meter give away. This does explain a few things I noticed on some matches. Do this only if it's absolutely neccesary. You don't want people like Narukami or Minazuki to get free meter. EDIT: I say this because I think it's kind of weird to give 21 meter on hit (just my opinion) when if i remember correctly cross slash gives them 4 or so.
  22. Yeah you're right. I was talking about Adachi's pressure. I just read my post and it seemed pretty vague, my bad. Adachi will try to use Zio as much as he can to try and start his pressure so you should be ready to stop him or to start blocking. My experience vs Liz has taught me that a lot of them like to DP while in the Zio Pressure. Don't do that, please. He's pretty much going to try to 5AA and then jump. Liz's advantage lies in Adachi's lack of good fullscreen moves(We have already discussed 2D) but if he gets in it's a nuisance. Also don't forget about the 2C trick!
  23. Zoning Adachi is easy as long as you respect his 2D. 5D's startup is really slow and gets beaten by Maziodyne and if he just spams 2D it's easy persona card broken. Adachi does have the upper hand but unless you like to press random buttons the fullscreen game is not that bad for lizzie. Be reminded however that CH Cross Slash does nearly 3K. So don't press buttons.
