  1. I can't compare it to the disc version, but I know my sound design and production a bit, and digital PS3 Xrd sounds fine.
  2. Xrd does make me think that That Man and Justice were not working togerher, not during the Crusades anyway. I'm not convinced Justice was acting fully on her own though - maybe the Universal Will had something to do with it.
  3. Sometimes it's obvious when to tech, but sometimes you're just counting on your opponent slipping up. Slowly mashing two buttons at the same time holding back seems the "safest" way to me, at least you get the FD you mention.
  4. They want to use Justice and Gears. Treasures are anti-Gear weapons - it's simple, really. The story mode was pretty great, the pacing was brilliant. Even with slip ups, the most enjoyable story mode an Arc game ever had. Still, super enjoyable. If anyone is into good over the top shounen anime that is so sure it's good it dares to feature an 80's montage, they're gonna love it.
  5. Well, this is a lame question... Is there a trick to inputing recoveries? Or am I supposed to just mash the shitt out of my buttons untill it happens? I miss the BB/P4 "hold a button" techs.
  6. It all depends on multiple factors. If your theoretical knowlege of the game and/or genre is good enough to comprehend what happened in such a disadvantageous match, sure, you'll learn. Better yet, if you could play that person multiple times. But if you can't even understand why you lost, there's nothing to learn except the fact that you're not yet good enough for online play. The only thing I can agree on without any disscusion is that you should never get salty. Been there, done that, spare yourself the time spent angry and practice. Also, I hope the community around Xrd avoids the syndrome that destroyed any community around here - the scrub leading the scrubs.
  7. Does the vocal collection feature the track that plays during the assault on the Cradle? That part was so hype. Also, am I the only one disappointed with the lack of a proper console opening? (Or am I stupid and failed to find it? It's not on the title screen or in the gallery...) We have the song, dammit, a simple montage would've been enough.
  8. No greatly noticeable difference. Some OD's are a little simpler in terms of graphical effects (Sol's TR has a smaller explosion, or some of his DI moves have less flames around etc), but it doesn't give the impression of anything being missing. If we didn't have the toggle and the PS4 version, you would never know it's showing anything less.
  9. Speed mode is still probably the way to go in the long run - a couple of hours is not enough to call the testing excessive. I did try some extreme stuff (May Ship with dual DI'd Tyrant Raves and stuff), but there still might be things that really break the gameplay. But they're probably all fixed in speed mode.
  10. I played the PS3 version on quality setting for three hours (and an hour in 1080p), and the gameplay per se was ALWAYS 60FPS. The special animations (intros, some OD's) were in 30FPS, and while annoying, it doesn't make the game any less enjoyable. I also didn't get drops on character select screen in versus. Here's a hint - clean your PS3's people.
  11. DLC is confirmed to be cross-buy.
  12. Can anyone post some screens from that comparison? Watching a half hour long video via mobile bandwich would make me bankrupt...
  13. Does the preload work for you guys already? It was supposed to be avaiable 5 hours ago, but I have no way to check.
  14. They never really advertised the PS3 version as arcade-perfect. We only knew they run at the same resolution and assumed how it's gonna be. Whatever goes, it's unreasonable to expect anything else than a 60FPS experience with significant most of the graphics intact from the arcade. That's what the "Speed" setting is supposed to be, so there's nothing (not a single 'effin thing people!) to wory about. The only thing that we don't know is what's the performance impact of the "image quality" setting. Whatever it is, it's irrelevant. Sure, nice details in the background are good, but the PS3 version has the two most important things GUARANTEED - gameplay and visual style being intact.
  15. I always got hatemail in Ultimax from people playing with JP voices for using English. P4A(U) are the best dubbed fighting games ever though (Atlus know their stuff). Sin looks super fun, looking at his moves on the wiki. Long reaching normals FTW. A little over two days left... it's a pitty that the game doesn't launch on midnight, but well, I can wait. It's been years, what's 7 hours compared to that...
  16. If the enemy is in hitstun or blockstun, windows and frames don't matter - it's always a red RC.
  17. I wish I had a way to test online when it's released, but my internet provider is a lazy bastard and I'll have to use my mobile to authenticate the game when it's out... But it's really just a couple of days away. Two/three years ago if someone told me that a new Guilty Gear will get released (and is a fighting game), I'd laugh in their face. And cry a lot later. But it's here and damn, it looks good. Also, I saw confirmation on Twitter that we'll be able to switch the in game display between PlayStation buttons and good ol' PKSHSD. A minor thing, but really welcome, seeing squares and triangles in the demo was surprisingly cringeworthy.
  18. It's been confirmed numerous times that the PS3 version is/will be fine. Calm down people, please.
  19. So that means that preloads won't be available unitll the 3rd in Japan... I hope they are available at midnight there though, otherwise downloading will be a pain in the ass.
  20. Yeah, that's pretty much confirmation we have no chance to play early. Well, it's only a day.
  21. https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/ja-jp/ゲーム/guilty-gear-xrd-sign-/cid=JP0036-NPJB00652_00-GGXRDSIGNJP00100?EMCID=jGM_guiltygear-koushikiweb01 Can anyone translate the little bit of text under the info window? The one that mentions 12/3.
  22. The only strange thing is the pic under the tweet posted earlier, that states the game will be ready to preload on the 2nd and playable on the 3rd. This either means that we were wrong when believing we'll be able to preload the game on the 1st in US/Europe, or it really will be available on the 2nd in those locations.
  23. It's been confirmed multiple times that Sin will be bought with in-game curency, not unlocked by beating story mode. The cheap DLC part is the same though.
  24. They confirmed it's PS3 only. It must be strictly hardware based.
