/\-11's 3c was always techable lol which is why 3c > 214D is powerful for breaking primers lol or relaunching if they dont tech [or tech roll]
-
im just waiting for loketest 4 and the finalized version... im rly hoping for something decent with /\-11, and so far the only gripe i have is slower 236b/c and faster 4b lol
-
eh, ive been using 3C > 236A [whiff] > 4B [1st hit whiff] for a meaty overhead if they neutral tech... if 4B is faster, then im not sure how viable the above will work out..... guess ill just have to delay the 4B lol im curious as to how gravity will effect an airborne opponent. i REALLY like the faster 236D tho. not sure if i like the other changes so far lol well its a loketest, 236D speed increase is a must IMO
-
hilarious avatar btw kona lol i rly wanna know what anime that is yeah, furoking last night lol unti like 4:30 in the morning.... ugh, i woke up no lie 2 hours ago. i really plan on learning GG, but i need to mod my stick first.... lol

well i only have xbl, and you main TAGER, mike lol, and that means that neither of us played a valk yet. But his drive is stupid fast and actually has some pretty fast high/low mixup in wolf form (wtf!?) from what i've seem about his command grab, its pretty telegraphed in terms of start up, so i'm not too worried about that... so for now, i'm not gonna offer anything since its all theory fighting, and that's no good lol also, sup matt :3

saw this in a combo video, apparently its character specific [i can only do this consistently on tager so far, i need to tighten up my links lol] will test on other character...more damage off of 236C/CH 5D is a plus imo lol lambda really needs all she can get :/ [CH 5D] 236C > dash > 5Cx8 > 6C > dash > 2DD > 9214D > dash > 6DD > 2DD > 6C > 2DD > SJC > j.DD > JC > j.2DD > j.214D - 4.4k+ builds around 45 meter. tasty lol managed to break 5k with a 2147D FC + RC starter, but forgot the combo lol its really similar to above, but there are some changes due to fatal properties, and it builds 51 meter...

found out that IBing the chains in this match up is very useful, as its a good way to get meter if hes trying to poke you out of stuff, and most of the time your swords will either whiff or get guard pointed. I try to stay airborne as much as possible, dash super jumping to get close to him [barrier his red DP chain, as its air unblockable] i prefer to use my normals in this matchup, like j.C and dash 5B as opposed to try and outzone him, but mixing it u can help too if he gets predictable with his jumps. the 2B crossup leaves you positive and haz's command grab has 12 frames of start up, with 6-12 being invincible, so meaties will beat it. if hes in the corner its basically "free" if you guess right until he gets guard crushed and decides to burst. just stay out of range of his reversal super and your golden. also, whiffing swords hurts A LOT...!

i havent modded my stick but i have played with both square and octagonal gates. i find it VASTLY easier with the square one, but this is mostly due to me learning on a stick that had a square gate lol just practice your inputs lol you'll get used to it

i just wanted to liven things up here is all lol Heroic, you are godlike XD and skye is too funny lol And I do throw swords at tager, alot of 5DDs too to make him jump and stuff, wheels to make him do defensive stuff, and drop gravity on his ass to keep him in place so i can throw more swords at him lol and ill eat a spark bolt for the sake of good sportsmanship. combo videos for all! i also complain alot cuz my reaction skills got worse since i stopped play SSBM 2 years ago and picked up Halo 3 before finally settling on BB lol and my yomi/mindgames are poor due to me playing games that didnt require lots of thought [smash and halo] and just have really good execution from said games sooo... yeah. i admit defeat. still lookin out for those matches, AXIS!! ggs ~Life

That would be Esco and Legacy [Jin/Tsubaki respectively], coming up to rep NYC lol

As a Lambda main, what do i do if tager just walks forward? 6D? If you have decent enough reaction, tager can duck under and resume walking while /\-11 is in recovery frames...like a LOT of recovery frames. 4D? tager can backdash on reaction. sure he loses distance and puts us neutral again, but HE HAS MORE SPARKBOLT METER NOW!! NOTE: Tager should not IB a ground sword and hope to punish with SBolt, as /\-11 can special cancel into gravity and use the invincibility frames to avoid both chip damage AND magnetism. lol back dash? then tager keeps walking forward. same if /\-11 IAD backwards.... super jump IAD over him? hello 2C/airthrow [throw break obviously] and j.2DD tager back to the ground and backup some more. if she IB/barriers the 2C, /\-11 eats a collider j.2DD block strings at a safe distance where tager cant sledge? then he IB's it, gets more meter than /\-11 AND KEEPS walking forward. stand still? well, that's not gonna end well and i dont even need to describe the horrors...lol spikechaser? really now? backdash it. 236D? normal jump it or sparkbolt her FOR FREE since its has ridiculous startup/recovery frames. so what if it trades? the wheel goes away, /\-11 wallbounces, and tager gets a combo. SBolt beats spikechaser clean. most i can do is dash TK sabers/feints and hope he cant block a 17 frame overhead or sledge it on reaction or some other silly nonsense lol you know, since /\-11's 5D is useful ONLY for punishing a sledge. what, do i play footsies with my normals? well, that actually works lol 3C at max range? then tager IBs it and get meter. act pulsar follow up? 360/720 beats it all day. delay the pulsars? 360/throw all day lol gravity? spark bolt lol most she can do is IAD back or super jump is he has SBolt. lol the most "wreckless" thing a lambda can do is dash 5B/gravity if tager sledges within sword range also, AXIS, i have xbl and im callin you out lol i just wanna test some stuff and see if theory fighting really is the power of science lol for fun dude, as i want more tager match up experience and Loerg doesnt have xbl anymore.... this match up sounds like 5-5, as if each player block EVERYTHING and avoids the primer breaking moves, whoever chips the other the most will win via time out lol this is a match up about reaction skills and walking lol also, lambdas swords dont chip right away... ~Life

its not all about delaying the 2147d, it much more dependent on their height and how low your TK it. Hitting them when they are as high as possible WHILE TK'ing as low as possible makes this link much easier to do lol however, you can delay/do it as fast as you can depending on your combo proration, but judging the height of both of the characters seems to be a more important aspect. also, when you land from the 2147d, DONT MASH the 5dd; its a link, you need to wait until your recovery frames are done before you even press 5d lol
-
I agree with severin. I just got back from Furok's house for some casuals [he mains Tao] and doing a ground combo into 3c > 214D really helps. if Tao happens to be in the corner when youre doing this its possible to guard crush her VERY quickly, even if she super jumps [just 2dd or sj.dd] end you block string with a well spaced j.214d...just dont be greedy with it lol if she has meter she can CA to get out and possibly turn the tables on you, so just keep an eyes on her meter. also, breaking someones guard with gravity seed is hilarious XD

After watching the matches that Sev posted after my ranting I felt pretty bad as a player, even though Mike Z still ended up winning, it made me realize that in all reality I was just getting out played and gimmicked to death until I got too mad to think properly... Against most Tagers I generally play auto-pilot thanks to my friend, who is the most difficult person I've played [heh]. Yeah, if I see a Tager blocked 214D~C/236D I have a field day, but if they backdash it I tend to have a few problems. A few times I've 236C after the 214DC if I predict a backdash [obviously timed so that the 214DC is slightly in front of me to prevent the 360/720 when they land and make them block, or to catch their backdash]. Of course, I do this RARELY, I havent done that in over a month lol As for the Japanese players compared to American players, they are just too defensive. Sure they know the metagame a lot better than we do since they've had the game for like a year already, but seeing Tager block so much that he almost gets guard crushed is kinda sad IMO. I mean, he just lost the match if he retreats in the very beginning. However, I did learn a lot on what to do against defensive Tagers, but I got very little when it came to very aggressive AND smart players. Is where most of the rage came from and I apologize. Also I've NEVER found a use for Gravity Seed after getting Gadget Fingered [lol] I just get ready to break a purple throw and backdash... The only time I use that move is when I'm magnetized and Tager does 2D from like 2/3 screen away. 5D is too slow, plus coupled with the magnetism pull by the time it activates its behind Tager. I usually save my DPs for this, it's free 3k damage and Tager is full screen again. I just find j.2 very useful and placing wheels [236D] in front of aggressive Tagers to either force the to jump over it or walk back until it goes away or some other defensive option. I don't even try to break like 3 or 4 primers against Tagers like that anyways, as it seems like a waste. If I 236DC they can sledge out of it, hell they can just jump over it and get in since the recovery is do long. ~Blargh....

Doing a meaty 4B is helpful, I'll try that. As for option selects, it's 4ABC, which he inputs after whatever move. I'm not entirely sure, but it's only during the start up of a move, before it becomes active to my knowledge, that you can option select throw techs... The game has something about it in its tutorial.

I just played a good Haku-men [its my Tager friend who just reacts to everything...] and I find his 6A > 6B blockstring very hard to deal with. I'm not sure, but I believe that I'm somehow negative, even though 6B has 18 frames of start up and I IB the 6A... I've tried to Gravity Seed/632146D but nothing comes out. I even tried backdashing, and letting go of back in general as to not get guard broken [i've randomly been guard crushed while barrier guarding the last primer...with nearly full barrier...] but I just sit there and keep blocking. If I'm in the corner and that nonsense happens I just wait for him to double jump and I 236A my ass out of there... seeing as he option selects his falling jumping moves in case I jump and air throw him out of something. This usually ends up with me escaping with 1 primer or being guard crushed [he won't combo me, as I am guard crushed with my barrier up...wtf Haku-men]. Having trouble with his command dash, as it goes through 5D. I don't know what to do really if he's mid/full screen aside from back up. He'll hop/walk forward and counter my swords on reaction if he doesn't have stars to command dash. I rarely use anti-air swords when he's approaching in the air, I just dash up to him and try to 6A something...which has been working pretty well. When I get a knockdown and throw out a meaty, he does 2D [he also option selects incase I decide to throw him instead, and I eternally fail to punish whiff counters cuz I'm dumb lol] All in all, I've just been sucking really hard, as I can't react to anything but his 6B and TK Tsubaki... and grabs, since he spams those. He jabs me out of my Tk saber feints when I try mix up, and if I just 2147D, he j.Ds me on reaction lol

agreed lol i would say "anytime," but lack of a source of income to alleviate the gas would be a stretch lol indeed ggs, it was cool meeting you and Ken >:D

hey this is L1F3! the guy who is your ride on Monday to Furok's house! how's it going man?

I've been playing a friend of mine who uses Tao and her blockstring into cross up [the one where they D upwards and cancel into a falling j.C]...well I found that air throw is a good way to get out and force the Tao to find another way to cross up or use falling j.B since it's faster... If you don't want to air throw, IB the overhead and 4B. Of course, it loses if she doesn't do a low, but if she pokes low, well, you got a combo. Getting hit while Lambda is doing 4B makes her airborne, so I'm not too sure how a Tao would follow up on that...I could be wrong about the airborne part, perhaps it depends when you get hit out of it. Also, shes is positive if you block her overhead 6B, but it's start up is slow. You can CH 5A her out of it into whatever you like. If you blocked her overhead, keep blocking [be ready to break a throw attempt] and I wouldn't even worry about trying to DP her. Save it for an easy burst bait if you catch her off of a drive. I'm not sure how reliable this is, but 5C mash her horizontal drives from like 1/4 screen away is hilarious. I even tried some shenanigans with dash 5C mash [whiff, as she will crawl under it] and cancel with 3C. Got him to stop crawling my 5Cs. IAD back j.214D/C if you feel a drive coming. Makes them wary about driving at you, but then a again, they can just watch you whiff a j.214D and possibly drive you for it. Depending on spacing, you might be able to bait their drive and AA with 6A... I don't even try to zone her, but I will throw out 6/2D if she gets careless. My main goal is to push into the corner, and break her primers, air throw her out of her silly cross up game, 4B the obvious lows, and such. I have no real good Bang experience, and I haven't been to any tournaments yet, so I can't compare the two, but so far, this matchup feels even if anything... ~L1F3

/\-11 shouldn't even be doing Act Pulsar against Tager unless it's 236C when he's in the air [blocking the 6DDs or jumping over 214D/C] in hopes of either scoring a hit [air unblockable w/o barrier] or breaking a primer. If they 236A/B/C on the ground after a block string, you can normal grab her out of it if you feel that you don't want to risk messing up a 360/720 command. The only real time /\-11 should Act Pulsar is after a hit confirm lol Ie: DON'T RESPECT HER PULSARS!! Just beat them out, it makes them respect you >:D I main /\-11 and I get 360'd out my blockstring Pulsars all day by my friend, who mains Tager. ... Then again, he has the reaction skills of a god XD ~L1F3

The Tager in the first match jumped way too many times than the Tager I play, although I have been getting better and I'm starting to win more often, like half or 50% of the time against him. Something that was kinda of a no brainer was just to calm down and focus lol those anti-air pressure strings into 214D or 236D dont work on my friend, as I've said before, he can sledge as soon as he lands. I found that 6DD > JC > j.2DD > j.214D~C works quite well...unless he ducks the 6D... The start of the second video made me wanna puke. An American Tager is much more aggressive than a Japanese Tager, and blocking 214DC!? Madness. That won't work on a Tager that walks forward and back dashes all day. Also, Tager dropping those combos... CH 2D > 5C > Spark Bolt...or something lol and at 2:08, whiffing the 2D in Tager's face and not getting punished... I'm not gonna bash on the Japanese players, it's their style, but any American Tager would just churn that butter if they are that close to Lambda. The second round is something that will never happen when I play my friend...he would just walk forward to close the space instead of waiting for that 214DC. Not to mention that Japan had the game WAY before we did, I can only do so much to even attempt at getting near their level of gameplay and yomi. Although that wasn't entirely helpfully reference as I'm not likely to play a Tager that scared, I still appreciate the feedback. I just wonder what would happen if my friend player any other Lambda that's not from around here lol seeing as he wrecks house against Hazama's and Tao's like nothing. Enough of my stupidity! You guys tried to help, and I am humbled by it.
