  4. jS autoguard only active when you have almost reached the ground so you'll get hit by VV before it activates in all likelihood. as for 6H, it's not a horrible move just not a particularly good move either. it does have an frc point on it for safety and combos. it is a very late frc though. on coutnerhit 6H gives you combos which happens for me every now and then, and then I drop the combo cause i don't react in time and my jump install looks like no attacks with just me jumping up, lol. even though it is unsafe, since it is not a popular move you will probably get away with not being punished for it a lot. there are some situations where you can take advantage of the autoguard on it in butterfly oki and stuff I think. I've seen it every now and then that after knockdown > butterfly they will do 6H, which is certainly backdashable but beats some stuff and has ok guard build you mean you're using his orb to stop your momentum in the air to dodge things? lol just use jD, it's like 100billion times safer
  5. edit: crap didn't look hard enough, ill edit into this post if i have another question before someone else posts. was trying throw combos on robo and dash frc beast > 2H BL is easy but not the best you can get, just havin trouble doing hte one i saw posted in the vid thread question...what do I do when I set a zeinest oki and they get hit by the zeinest (cause of failed reversal or something)? I'd already be doing 6P5S or 2K5S so I can go into air combo from that or on lotsa characters can just do 5H BL. air combo i assume is what im supposed to be doing since it does more damage but I'm having some problems with it. what's the best standard combo to do in this situation? another problem I'm having is when I set a hitomi as oki and try to iad over them for the crossup, they cna throw me before I jump. how do I solve that problem? is it only good after certain knockdowns or something? also, someone tells me it's possible to get dash 6K 2 hit BL after a throw. can anyone else verify this? i cannot get it for the life of me
  6. 5S after nagiha frc it's kinda tricky, not really essential by any means but good to have in arsenal to save some meter. if you RC though it's easy as hell to do anything you want

FD jump and backdash when there's even the smallest gap in his strings so that you don't have to deal with his retarded overheads like 6K and dust if you get thrown out of 5H you are doing it too close. you should use it at distance here are a couple of my matches against slayer from a couple months ago to show you roughly what you should be doing good spacing in this one I think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bw9OyRmbSuo& FD jumping: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6echv1T1IRg you really gotta space well against slayer or you'll die pretty badly. even if you space really well it's still a tough match though. methinks 6-4 adv for slayer, the damage difference is just too great. you can find plenty of vids of me losing on youtube too I'm just putting those as examples of what you should try to do

I think it's the most damage you're gonna get and the damage on that is more around 200ish I'm pretty sure. when really close to corner instead of doing 2D into FB rin, you can just do Nagiha instead and frc or RC it. if you FRC you can fujin loop a little on most chars and if you RC you can do 236H KS On like normal

  11. looks like you're right after all, he can block it if his 2D is almost over when the meaty happens. however it will not hit fujin I thought it was guaranteed cause the move doesn't have good recovery cause of match experience but testing shows otherwise
  12. if slayer is using the late frames wouldn't it be the opposite and he'd be more likely to not get hit? I do think reversal Fujin is guaranteed but I'll check it later. Regardless, if he does 6K instead he can throw you after it misses (or possibly get a 2K maybe). fujin "mix ups" aren't a good idea on any character really lol. also I doubt blocking fujin yields free damage for slayer, if the S followup doesn't interrupt your move (only IB into 2H might beat it) i guarantee the P followup would deal with that

  16. there are some important variables to consider such as blockstun of the move you did into shitsu, as well as the distance. just because they can do something does not mean that they will do it, either because it's at a distance where they can't do it by reaction, or because you've got something that covers you
  17. well getting hit by stun dipper still sucks cause it shifts the momentum in his favor at the very least sol's grand viper is the worst cause unlike the other two, it actually works as a wakeup reversal to go under shitsu. stun dipper and BBU can't. also sometimes BBU gets hit by shitsu I dunno why
  18. everyone ignored my mostly useless finding! that was like my first post with any info in months. urgh butterflies in blockstrings are still good against ky but you have to be more careful with them and not do them after certain moves like 2D. so when should you do it? well look in the anji vs ky thread or something...fuck a ho... edit: wow I actually didn't mention it in my post there. uh...hmm :8/:
  19. lol really? wtf? i never saw that post before lol anyway chomite posted some stuff from a korean guide a while back and I found something that wasn't specifically mentioned but similar to some other things 5H into 6P is not a gatling, but is faster than it should be. if you don't believe me try it yourself. you can even get it to combo if the 5H was a counterhit. when doing the 5H hold 6 and mash on P like crazy, faster you mash faster it comes out, or so it seems. interruptible like the similar ones but maybe slightly useful and it's kinda nifty.

  23. 2S is not an effective tick throw but it can work. any tick you need to dash for is not as good as if it's one where you're already in range and can just do it or walk very slightly into it. wild throw has less range vs crouching opponents (not sure on character specifics) but in good tick throw setups this won't matter unless they FD. take into account that if they are standing blocking they may walk back slightly which you do not want. don't mixup overheads with command grab, it's a shitty mixup, though I dunno about this jS thing is you're talking about. I assume you mean that jump in oki jS or whiffed jS into grab, in which case yea that's a good mixup but I don't see why a DP wouldn't beat it unless they are in GF frc blockstun or something. the most solid mixup you can do is to mixup low gatlings with tick grab because options used to escape tick grabs generally cause them to get hit if you did a low attack. people holding low block mashing on 2P beats that kinda mixup sometimes because it's a dumb option select so to deal with that you should gatling to 6P or do a non-gatling 2D to get a 70% life counterhit combo.

  25. hmmm thanks! was hoping someone would comment haha... I went the the tournament on short notice and was very underpracticed. southern VA sucks so hard for guilty gear, even smp left.
