I've been wondering about that kind of thing for a while...I know in Japan on the arcades they use their upgraded characters(at least from the vids I've seen) but some of the stuff you can get seems kinda broke IMO. What if you just ran tournies with the standard cast(no cards)? It would be kinda lame cause characters would be missing moves but wouldn't that take care of the problem? Of course lightweights would be vulnerable to big combos because they wouldn't be able to get a wieght increase. On a side note why is 17 the only character with a level 3 super move off the bat...?
  2. Yeah that's what I do with Vegeta. His shots beat out almost anyone else's. If you do his qcf+H in the air he can shoot 6 instead of 4...and that beats like everything. Galick Gun is great too...cause it's safe on block and you can direct it...and mash for 2 more hits. And the thing he says when he does it rhymes so it must be good. If you get Big Bang that can stop supers and stuff. I played a lot more today and I finally did some unfly combos with the air heavy into ff+H. Also used 18 and her skill tree is a lot different than 17s....her kick super looks the same but it launches. 0_0 After Trunks LLHH I've seen someone in a vid land L+B after into a combo but I can't seem to get it. Any tips? I got his japanese sword btw...H hits from starting position lol.
  3. I think Vegeta and Trunks are fun to play. You should try them out. Vegeta has really strong beams and trunks has...a sword. The computer seems to be totally retarded against Trunks bf H. :P I've been playing Trunks just cause I want that freaking command grab super that does like over half your life. :D BTW does anyone know who all the light, normal, and heavy characters are? I'm just curious.

So far I haven't added wieght to any of my characters and I improved my combos a bit so hopefully my new version works...it's actually easier. :P I didn't know if you mashed on projectile supers it can make it more hits. :P I can get two more hits on 17 and vegeta's super projectiles. Is that the max? Edit: Looked at your 17 vid again pozer it doesn't look like you knew about it at the time of making the video. 0_0 Thanks for the help with the crossup thing now I can do it pretty low to the ground. I've just gotta do it real fast like you said(kinda like slide motions in tekken or soul calibur). Also is there a way to set the training stage to be able to get wall splats? I can't get wall splat with anything in that dome like I've seen in vids. Do I need the skill that makes moves that don't normally wallsplat wallsplat?
  5. Wow that's messed up. At least neither of the characters I'm using at the moment is light. 0_0 My friend I play the game with uses android 16 and appearantly he has the skill that makes you weigh more. As if 16 needs it...it's overkill. Messed up my combos bigtime. I couldn't even get that easy vegeta juggle. :P

  7. That is a nice video man thanks I'll have to try those. I was using Vegeta against a friend today. I like doing ff+L, LHH Galick Gun If you get big bang...that move beats out like everything... How do you do the quick crossups like at the start of the video? When I try to cancel flying into a jump move the jump move doesn't come out in time unless I jump really high. Is there a trick to it?
  8. For some reason I can do it now. :blink: Anyway it's pretty cool. Energy Field seem like a waste because most of the hits miss cause of pushback but the other super is decent. Seems like energy field is a maximum of 20 hits btw but I've only gotten that twice(and that was used on it's own as well). I did a combo ffH ffL H Energy Field and it does like 150 on vegeta I can't do those unfly air combos yet.
  9. Yeah you are right I just got the game today. I've still got a lot of combos to work on. I couldn't link a super after 17's LHH when used as a juggle ender but on the ground I could link the super no problem. Is my timing just messed up?
  10. I'll be picking this up tomorrow. Thanks for putting up the matches. Is that chichi super unsafe on hit? It looked like she got punished by a projectile super. Is it just when you use it as a juggle ender? Also about 17 compared to 18...17 has five bars of action meter and 18 has four bars. Does this mean you could do longer combos with 17?
  11. Ah ok. Damn store is out of copies and I don't have a car at the moment. boohoo! Question I was gonna ask earlier...how do you use 17's qcb+L/H? Or should you even use it? I think it's his only unique special move that 18 doesn't have.
  12. Wow you can get landing L > ff+L? that's crazy I was just going for jab combos after landing L...I need to try that. Is his landing L better than his landing H? It seemed like it was better to me.
  13. Alright thanks I'll try them out next time I am able to play. Those are all from that launcher though...are the jab strings I posted good or are there stronger ones? How balanced are the characters in this game? Anyone know? My first impression was that 16 is really good cause of his retardedly strong command grabs. Edit: Played it again with my friend today. I love this game. 17 is so fun. Those combos are cool but I didn't ever get any of the full ones. I'll work on them more next time. I just did parts of them haha. You can even get ff+H L,H L,H L,H lol
  14. The deal is...they do a SHITLOAD of damage. Wow 17 seems pretty popular here that's unexpected. I just played it for the first time today. I just found some simple combos that probably suck or are extremely obvious. I kinda want to buy this game but I'm so tight on money. No super meter combo: LLH 623H Super combos: LLL > qcfx2 H/360 motion L+H Yay for scrubby combos. Soundtrack is very nice too. Also seems that dashing L is unsafe on block and dashing H is frame adv(I think this applies to all characters).
  15. I know special moves moves have different tension gain. Let me edit it... to make it more simple lets just say I wanna do... K S S H or S S H(Character doesn't matter...pretend that there is only one character in this game) pretending they do the same damage....does the first one give more tension?

If you have the choice between two combos that do the same damage...but one is an extra hit...does the one with the extra hit give you more tension than the other one? examples: anji: K,S, HS, S Fujin, Nagiha(5 hits) Versus S, HS, S Fujin, Nagiha(4 hits) zappa: CH 6P, 2HS, JC, jp jS, 9, jS jD(6 hits) versus CH 6P, 2HS, JC, jS, 9, jS jD(5 hits) Obviously for the anji combo the starter is different and for the zappa one both of those don't work on all characters so the more reliable one would be preferable. I'm just asking if there is any extra tension gain.
