  1. Actually, what I'd like to see in the next Blazblue, or any fighting game for that matter, is a Custom Challenge Mode. You'd simply record a combo against a training dummy, and the game would record the inputs and starting positions. Afterwards, you would be able to upload your combo or challenge to the web, at which point others could download it and attempt to complete it themselves. A rating system could be added, judging the combo by Practicality, Ease, and Stylishness. I feel it would help a lot with sharing new techniques and combos that would hopefully filter down to new players, and in addition it would avoid the problem of most challenge modes having bad or impractical combos. If there was a way challenge modes could include nasty resets and mix-up starters, that would be even better, and would help new players learn things beyond a few basic BnBs. Just my ideas.
  2. People requested only one large thread to be kept without continuous closings and re-openings. If a large enough amount of people want a new thread to be opened, just post here with your opinion on it and we'll do whatever is wanted. Frankly, I don't care either way.

  5. Guilty Gear has a wishlist thread because there's a rumored rebalance coming out. In addition, as the game is well-aged, we have plenty of insight into how the game can be rebalanced. Blazblue 3 is not even on the horizon or known about, in addition there may be major system overhauls. So that's why there's no BB wishlist thread. That said, keep it clean, keep it smart, and this thread can stay open.

  7. I mostly thought of 5H and 6H especially due to her basic ground BnB, 5K c.S 5H(3) 6H 6P 5H(3) 6H 2D. The two 5H's alone give nearly 25% meter, which is a bit ridiculous, especially with how powerful Jam becomes with meter. Her FRCs are pretty gimmicky but still strong, and I don't think I need to say anything about FB Puffball. I would be interested in seeing how changing the FRC timing on her 236P would affect her now though. Currently I don't see it used a lot, though it looks like it'd be a great tool for pressure.
  8. I was actually discussing this last night. Probably the best character to seal dust against is Eddie, to turn off his unblockables. But otherwise it's not that great. If you're gonna seal Jam's moves, I'd seal Slash. Still keeps her from doing FB puffball and overall weakens her poking and anti-air game. Also, Hellmonkey, you listed Jam as a character you wanted to see her meter gain be nerfed a bit. I was wondering what moves or such you'd tone down. I was mostly thinking her 5H and maybe 6H, since while the Bakushuu followups give great tension gain (around 7.20!), it's only on hit, so you'd only get the tension from the Bakushuu by mashing puffball in neutral.
  9. Star, I really have to question why you even want those changes. List reasons, please, and how they'd affect Baiken and her matchups. I'm going to be kind here and pretty much ask that if you can't offer good insight to high level play, and show a good understanding of the balance of the game, the top level matchups, and how the game functions, for you to refrain from posting. Asking questions to start discussion such as "What could we do to make Baiken stronger" or "How can we help Baiken in her matchups against Jam or Potemkin" are good, listing random buffs to your character with no reasons given and no understanding of the game is bad. This goes for everyone in this thread, obviously.
  10. What BBQ Sauce said is pretty true. Also Jam's 6P isn't actually her best anti-air, but you can use it to go through attacks like Ky's f.S. Try using her c.S or 2H to anti-air more, they seem more reliable. What you should be doing against obvious overheads like that though is parrying. Only Jam can do this, but from a neutral position quickly press back then forward as the attack is about to it. Jam will slap the attack away and a green flash will appear. Check the Jam wiki guide for more information on this. A little off topic, but I hope it helps!
  11. I know it does if you're blocking slayer's normals...otherwise I think it's +1 frame of blockstun?
  12. Jam's damage is fine. High, yes, but nothing Slayer can't do for 25 meter. Jam also has less range and defense than Slayer, making it harder to get that damage at a higher play level. Her damage is just...easy. No really tough combos, and her mix-up is good too. Basically, at scrub level Jam is godlike, at intermediate she's ass, and at high level she's great. It just depends on how good your opponent is at spacing.

  17. I hate to interrupt this debate, but I went ahead and pre-registered on the site for GG and BB, and when I went to my cart there were no items in it. Just want to make sure it went through and I won't have to pay more at the venue.

  20. She's saying "Hyappo Shinshou" which is the name of the move. "Senri Shinshou" is the one that she dashes past you and comes back. The force break version is also "Hyappo Shinshou" though. I think the only time a character gets specific voice sets is I-No v. Sol or Order-Sol, she'll use voice set C/boss voice set. ANYWAY. I'm curious about what some good Bridget/Johnny players think their characters need, or why those characters are a lower tier. I just don't know enough about either of the characters to talk about how they can be brought up to match the other characters in tier.

  22. They're pretty similar in their derpiness, haha. They both have tons of damage, but yeah Jam's definitely a good beginner mode character. Jam v. Chipp is odd though, because Chipp has a lot of close-range pokes that will beat out a lot of stuff Jam does! He just...doesn't want to be close to her. At all.

Okay, things I'm gonna need to make sure of before I know I can go: -If I can get the 8th and 11th off, but that shouldn't be a problem. -If someone can pick me up from/drop me off at Newark International Airport, I think Mash said he could pick me up since I'm on the way which would be awesome cuz I don't want to drive 10 hours. -If there's a price split going on on a hotel room, would be nice to know.
