Serious post? Serious post: Defense and/or Guts nerf to Potemkin. He'd still keep his ability to be a huge threat by simply being -there-, but as he is now, against some characters the matchup is ridiculously skewed in Potemkin's favor due to the amount of risks one side has to take against him, for a very small reward, and for how many risks Potemkin has to take comparatively. I'm sure any Chipp or Bridget player knows exactly what I'm talking about. 40 seconds of the Chipp or Buri doing amazing, dancing around Potemkin and making great reads to deal about 70% total damage over a bunch of tiny combos. Then they either mess up once, or Potemkin guess right once, and they lose 40% of their life, get knocked down, and if they guess wrong on oki they lose. It's ridiculous. Higher damage characters like Jam or Slayer would still have problems against him, because he'd still keep all his tools and damage, he just wouldn't be able to tank blows as well and would have to be a bit more cautious against the rest of the cast. Also fuck unblockables.

Hi Toan, and yeah I just mostly lurk this thread unless something stupid is going on and I need to intervene. I don't really netplay anything much tbh, I've been dumping all my time into Guilty Gear to get marginally less free in that game (it's working, thankfully), and after that I might start trying to get better in SkullGirls. I still like playing Blazblue, but last time I played was at PowerUp and I went 0-2, without even a single close round. The only thing of note I did do was using Gravity Seed's grab invul and 236A dash to land some nice Fatal counters, which I then realized I didn't know any FC combos, haha. Been thinking about playing more though, and I'll probably get more into PSN netplay with P4U coming out.

Star if you spent half as much effort on practicing as you did on posting on these forums bitching about how terrible you were and how no one wants to help you (which is bullshit, considering I've seen plenty of people offer advice, myself included), you'd probably be a hell of a lot better now. Mind you, now no one really does want to help you, because all you do is bitch and moan about how no one helps you. What TD said is absolutely correct. Watch good players and their match videos, study their neutral game, try to get into their head and try to understand what they're doing and more importantly, why they're doing it. Practice constantly, try new things and break old habits get a better and deeper understanding of your character. That's how you get better. If you don't like this advice, then have another piece: stop trying to play fighting games competitively, because that's all you're gonna find in them. In other words, stop posting dumb drama shit in this thread. Consider this your warning.

If it bugs you so much, stop bitching about what colors people pick to beat you with, figure out why you're losing, go into to training mode, and figure out how to get better. I'll give you a hint: if someone's beating you with one color, they're gonna beat you with any color. You think they're trolling you? Get better so they can't.

Haha, thanks. I'm trying to get better but there's only so much you can do to not be derp as Jam, I love playing as her but in all honestly she's a pretty dumb character. I'd be happy if I could play her half as good as I could draw her, haha.

Star pretty much laid it out: Hakumen has counters, Baiken has Guard Cancels. I can't really think of any character who plays a lot like Hakumen in Guilty Gear, so you'll just have to try out the cast on your own.

I believe all KoA games are on-site registration. At least that's what it said in the opening post. Guilty Gear's still at 20:00 on Friday, right? Are we going to need more setups for that, cuz I can bring my console and copy of the game, don't think I can manage a CRT though.

I'm just curious on this one, what do you think makes a player good in the first place then? You say you only consider yourself good, and I dunno if you're just being humble but I consider myself to be a pretty ass Jam player, so I'm wondering what you consider a player has to have before they're considered "good", in any game, not just BB.
