honestly i'd worry about lows extra when he has lv 2, because 2D->lv2 BHB near a corner is too dangerous. not only that but if it isn't near a corner you just gave me a free full charge because it sends you packing. his 6P has also become much more useful on the ground as a stuff tool because it staggers basically it's the same matchup as before but he's harder to deal with now

that's where things like instant block and faultless defense come into play. you draw them in with instant blocks while recovering faster and faultless pushes them away. you should be punishing your opponent for mindlessly spamming. only opponents that are doing effective pressure strings while usually using tension for frcs and RCs etc will be able to pressure without lots of holes in it. -

guess i should of said it's what makes it satisfying for me to play. complexity is fine, i doubt the core mechanics from GG will drastically change (atleast guessing from what i could see from the trailer) but anytime i talk to a friend who is a fighting game enthusiast i usually attempt to do the GG conversion. but difficulty is a barrier i can't help people with because they just outright usually refuse to delve into the game, and honestly i can't blame them. putting 1-2 years into a game to start getting decent at the game without outside help is a bit steep especially with my friends who can't get over the concept that without similar training they won't have a chance in hell in beating me. i try my best to go easy, but in guilty gear going easy is akin to just making silly mistakes. it's pretty noticeable and when they do figure out im throwing they get even more turned off etc -

execution is what makes guilty gear stand out from most of the fighting game crowd. it's also what makes the game satisfying to play, even certain easy characters have strict timing things (GF frc/WT cheese with sol etc) but it is one of the many things keep new players out... honestly, it's really hard to make GG a hit among most crowds here in the west because of its anime-esque appearance and no notable characters that people can instantly recognize. there should be some sort of crossover game so GG can get some good exposure! i don't want them to nerf execution for favor of new players,(or even that easy combo/special shit in persona) but they might do so to get more people to play. so many gaming companies stooping to dumbing their game down to appeal to a broader audience, it's quite ridiculous. leaves us cult fans aggravated with the final product, but i'm very glad there is even another GG coming out. we need to show our support regardless -
just leave the game on for like 24 hours on training mode or something and it will all unlock

sounds like you need to work on your blocking just spend a bunch of matches blocking and trying to defend against his pressure once you can successfully block his oki/mixup etc you should have a better chance if yours doesn't succeed right away. blocking is huge in GG and trying to reversal spam on wakeup will get you killed quick. CHs are very unforgiving in GG so take heed when you decide to throw out moves. etc

normally to get a GB crossup you'll end a gatling combo->KD then gunblaze immediately after to get behind them and then do another GB to actually cross them up with it. you can get them into decent oki game if you start switching the 2nd GB with some low or high mixup or some tick throws etc. the longer you delay sometimes the better (the 2nd one i mean) and some characters this won't work on (faust comes to mind because his foot hitbox is retarded)

epic! i can't wait to play this on ps3 when the NA version comes out. ive only played GG on the arcade once and i could actually hit FRCs alot. whereas the ps2 version it was like a 50% thing. :/
