Didn't they say that Naoto came to the present by falling into a Cauldron? He would presumably know about them if he got directly involved with one. Goddamit Mori where is the next Naoto light novel? There are so many unanswered questions. I'm hoping for right before either Act III or the console release like how Phase Shift 4 was released a week before CP Arcade to reveal Celica in the present. How would Es know about what is going on in the current Embryo? If it's post LM human Es then she has no Azure Eyes and all of the Gates are sealed by the Tsukuyomi. If it's Embryo Es then she shouldn't have the Murakumo and can't leave the Boundary without distorting the world (and the last thing the current world needs right now is even more things to mess it up). Nobody, and therefore Es, did not even know about Nine's split timeline so she couldn't have gone there. Also it seems strange to bring the Es who is not Nine's first and best friend yet since that is her most direct connection to what is going on.

That thing is called Hi No Kagutsuchi. Not sure if they're connected since Nine summons its arm in her Exceed Accel and you can't see her face during it. At the moment we don't even know if Hi No Kagutsuchi is canon to the story so this is getting a bit off topic. My mistake about the hair change, but it is more of a lighter brown than actually red. Either way this part is definitely off topic so we should stop.

XBlaze is one of the abilities granted by the Original Grimoire and since Watashi has a replica of the Original Grimoire she can use it too. It isn't explained perfectly but basically it converts the stored seithr into a powerful effect. When Touya uses it, he increases his physical strength (also his eyes become red, not his hair) and Watashi uses it to create a new body for Es, give it Es's memories and send it to the XBlaze timeline. For some reason different versions can be used by others who have absorbed the seithr from the an Original Grimoire. Freaks drained half of Touya's Grimoire power and gets the New Testament Drive: XBlaze while Es (temporarily) gets the Lost Memory: XBlaze by using the Phantom Memories that Watashi used to create her body.

As far as I can tell no we never see it but as VermilionBird pointed out during her Astral Finish her left eye releases a flame like glow which suggests she is activating her XBlaze. As for still having her replica Original Grimoire (I love how much of an oxymoron that is), I would assume yes. Much like Celica has the ability to naturally nullify and suppress seithr, Nine has the ability to attract seithr to her. The reason her Shuichiro created the Original Grimoire was to let it safely absorb that seithr. The eyepatch acted as a limiter but it's unclear if she truly stopped wearing it after Lost: Memories (she has it in the ending art but not in the post-credits scene) or maybe made a smaller one or something. I don't think it is really possible to "take care of" this since there is no reason for her to stop attracting seithr so she most likely still has the Grimoire but has gotten strong enough that she can handle it's power without the limiter.

Unlikely. Aside from touching it once and seeing the future Sechs was trying to create Es has no connection to the Master Unit. She also is completely separate from the Embryo so she would have no more reason to return to it then Hinata would. Es's Murakumo is a Legacy weapon sword, not a Murakumo Unit like Kiiro's or the Lux Sanctus so I doubt it works the same. My guess for why she would appear would be to try and stop Nine. Es/Nobody was her closest friend and unlike Trinity or Kokonoe she hasnmt betrayed Nine. In the end of Lost: Memories Es and Watashi vow to see each other again which hints at her return. At the very least since Nine sincerely wished for Es to have a happy life it would throw a wrench in the whole "world only for Celica" thing.

Hello everyone. I'm new here but all this insane plot stuff has convinced me to finally join. One thing I'd like to add is that there is a common misconception regarding Es. As of Lost: Memories Es is not inside the Boundary. Watashi (Nine) turned her into a normal human and sent her back to the XBlaze timeline, leaving the Embryo behind to automatically maintain the Phantom Field. So Es cannot be in anyway directly connected to the current Master Unit. Another thing that's strange is that, as far as we know, the picture of Es is flat out impossible. Es never had both the Murakumo and the Azure Eyes from having the Embryo. Es only gets the Embryo after Touya starts wielding the Murakumo and Es only takes it back after becoming separate from the Embryo. I'm not sure what this means for how Es connects to the current events although I could definitely see them bringing her in since she is Nine's first and closest friend.
