  1. I could see a giant boss happening in the console version, but I doubt it would be in Arcade Mode. Aside from True Noel (who if she is the boss I would imagine it would be more that she has to fight in self defense from everyone trying to kill her as opposed to her being the true ultimate villain) I can't think of any good fit but I'm sure Mori has something insane planned. If we do get a giant boss in the console game, my money is on the Black Beast. Nine, Azrael and Izanami have hinted at wanting it to return in some way and I think having the monster that started all of this be the final opponent (or one of them) would be rather fitting (especially if it can somehow fit into the Story of the World).
  2. Es no longer wears an eyepatch. Hinata only made the eyepatch for Es since she couldn't open her left eye when she returned to the real world (since it was where Nobody's Phantom Memories were sealed). Freaks cuts off the eyepatch and after Es uses her XBlaze her left eye returns to normal since she used up all of its stored power. I don't see why they wouldn't keep the design since it's iconic. Even though she mostly switches to a black and white dress in LM, we see in Hinata's Additional Scenario that she does own a copy of her CE dress and sometimes wears it (not sure how frequently since in each of the three Additional Scenarios she wears a different outfit). There doesn't seem to be a reason to have a new one. Personally I hope she's in her CE one since her LM does not look good while she's fighting (even by anime logic clothes standards), especially since her CE one means less panty shots. Es (as in human Es not counting Nobody) has addressed Watashi in two different ways. Those are "my beloved friend" and "Nobody" (although this is because Watashi was trolling her when they met inside the Phantom Field Storage and Watashi even tells Es her name isn't really Nobody when she gives Es the same "who am I" riddle she got from Nobody). I don't think Nobody/Es ever had the chance to learn Watashi's name so if they meet again either someone will just say Nine's name and Es will start using it or she will continue to use "my beloved friend".
  3. I doubt even Mori would troll us that much. If Watashi and Imouto aren’t Nine and Celica then they have absolutely no reason to even exist and Nine loses a lot of good character development. There are simply too many similarities between them at this point. In fact I’ll create a comprehensive list of all of them just to show it. Watashi/Nine: -Look exactly the same. -Have the same VA. -Are both from Ishana. -Have the same personality (super overprotective of their little sister, angry and hostile to almost everyone else, tend to shoot first and ask questions later). -Have the same relationship with their father (absolutely hate him). -Are prodigies as mages (and prefer to use fire magic). Imouto/Celica: -Look exactly the same. -Have the same VA. -Are both from Ishana. -Have the same personality (idolize their older sister, near permanently cheerful, kind and trusting towards everyone). -Have the same relationship with their father (love him and want to see him again despite his supposed evil actions). -Were born with the ability to suppress seithr around them (which is noted in both XBlaze and BlazBlue as being an impossibly rare and unique power). There is also all the evidence besides the immediate similarities that support this. -Nine and Celica turn into Watashi and Imouto in Amane’s Astral Heat (I know it might be just a reference like with Hazama/Kazuma but that one has a logical reason for them being separate people). -We’ve never seen Nine’s left eye and said eye glows with flames when she uses her Astral Heat. This means there’s a good chance she is hiding her replica Original Grimoire eye. -Nine’s stage is the Phantom Field. Only Watashi and Imouto know about it and only Watashi is able to get into it since she was able to repair her father’s machine that sent them into the Phantom Field (the machine sending them to the Phantom Field was only a malfunction and it broke after the portal closed but Watashi was able to make it open portals at will after only a few days) so logically Nine is in it now because she knew about it from previous experience. -The file containing Watashi’s data in Lost: Memories is named “KN” which most likely stands for her real name, Konoe. -And most damning of all, Lost: Memories trolls you by not letting you give Watashi any names related to her or the Mercury family, namely Konoe, Nine and Phantom. Most importantly, if you try to name her Nine you get the message “It isn’t quite time yet…” which all but confirms she will grow up to be Nine of the Ten Sages. I apologize for going off on this most likely unnecessary tangent but I thought it might be good to put this all together to demonstrate just stupid and nonsensical it would be for this to be a red herring, especially with all of the hints that can create plot holes if they are different people. I’m not saying it should be put as fact on the wiki yet but I think it’s fine to discuss the characters with the idea that they are the same person. Only the Touya and Es Code: Embryo stuff takes place in 2050 but since the Phantom Field exists outside of time Watashi and Imouto can be from a later point in time but still let Es go to return to 2050. No date is given for Watashi and Imouto but it definitely takes place in the future of that stuff (Nobody explicitly says Es returning to the 2050 is sending her into the past and would effect Watashi’s future before she learns about the split timeline) and the fact that Watashi had to look back pretty far back in the history books to investigate if the Wadatsumi Incident happened means it’s probably been a few decades so there’s a high probability that their story takes place somewhere in the 2090’s, which would fit their ages in the Dark War (also Nine and Celica are from the time of the Dark War, 2100, which is only 50 years after XBlaze and it's only current BlazBlue that takes place 150 years later, 2200).
  4. Technically it has never been explicitly stated that Watashi and Imouto are Nine and Celica (although it is so overwhelmingly and blatantly obvious that there is no point in pretending it's not true) so it only states that they are heavily implied to be younger versions. Also, the wiki is severely lacking in information on Lost: Memories in general. While someone seems to have started working on it, it still mostly has only pre-release information and is missing a lot of important details and in some cases is flat out wrong (Watashi did not lose all her memories when she entered the Phantom Field, all she forgot was her name and Nobody told her she would eventually lose all her memories if she didn't give herself a new name, Watashi references her past, her knowledge of magic and her hatred of her father many times while traversing the Phantom Field). If I may do a bit of shameless self-promotion, I've put a LOT of effort into the XBlaze Tvtropes page (as in I can reasonably say I wrote about 90% of it) and while it's nowhere near complete, it should be able to answer a good number of questions regarding the game. Now getting back on track... Thanks for the find. It's always good to see more images even if they don't add any major details. Poor Makoto though. I know we see Hazama and Terumi stomp on downed opponents a lot in gameplay but seeing it like this is a lot more brutal.
  5. I'm pretty sure I answered this for you a week ago but I'll copy-paste my answer here one more time for convenience sake. Yes. When Watashi helped Nobody create Es's human body she needed the power of Nobody's "Phantom Memories" (the memories Nobody had built up as her own person separate from Es). These memories are sent along with Es's memories and soul in the human body, leaving Nobody/Es's Prime Field body with nothing in it but the Embryo itself. When Es activates the Lost Memory: XBlaze, which is powered by the Phantom Memories, she gains those memories back, meaning the human Es has all of both her own memories and Nobody's memories, so in a way she is a fusion of both.
  6. Fusing the Azure Grimoire with a Murakumo Unit doesn't seem to be the only way to create a Black Beast, rather that is the method to smelt the Kusanagi but creates a Black Beast if the merge fails. In "That Which is Inherited" a Nox Nyctores is made by creating a mini Black Beast that is sealed into the form of the weapon, becoming its core. As Relius says, all that is needed to create this Black Beast is to smelt an Artificial Identity in the Boundary using a whole bunch of souls. This also means it's likely that there are other ways to create a Black Beast as well. Remember that there have possibly been four different Black Beasts up until now, not including the Nox Nyctores and the ones Touya and Ragna can become in bad endings. The Ragna/Nu fusion from the Dark War, the one in XBlaze, and two "somethings" outside of the Logic (implied to be mini Black Beasts) that appeared in both the Age of Origin and a hidden war hundreds of years ago that Hihiirokane and the Sealed Weapon Izayoi were created to fight respectively. Some of these cases were long before any form of Murakumo existed and based on the fact that the XBlaze Black Beast suddenly appeared the first time humanity accessed the Boundary from the Gate, it probably has always been there (personal theory is that it was from the previous universe and was probably responsible for said universe's destruction). Furthermore, the more solidified and streamlined appearance of the XBlaze beast suggests that's a more perfected being than the one from the failed fusion. Izanami also promises to let Azrael fight the "Gods outside of the Logic" when he says he wants to fight the Black Beast for all eternity. We have no idea what this means but considering that all of the beings we've seen outside of the Logic aside from Vampires and Valkenhayn (who are not gods) are or might be Black Beasts, said Beasts probably fit into the category of those gods (the Black Beast has even been called the God of Calamity) which would also suggest the non-Dark War ones are beings far beyond, and not created by, man. I don't think it's explicitly said that humans created the Original Grimoire from the remains of the Black Beast since all they could do against it was have the Azure Shrine Maiden lure it back into the Boundary and seal the Wadatsumi Gate, which would leave no remains. I don't remember any origin being given for the Original Grimoire since it is an OOPART and therefore was something a mysterious object people found that should have been impossible to make during the time of their creation. The Original Grimoire can draw on the power of the Black Beast in the Boundary (and can turn Touya into a new one if he loses control) but we never learn why it has that power.
  7. I don’t remember them ever saying the three look similar, especially since physically they really don’t look the same. I know they say that Sechs used to be very similar to Touya and was very kind as a young boy before he learned he wasn’t “real” and began to question the world and the concept of life and death and I’m pretty sure it’s brought up that they have a similar “feeling”, and if I’m remembering correctly have similar Discover Calls, due to being irregular Unions (Touya is the Original Grimoire, Ripper is a Strange Red and Sechs’s Crystal has the mysterious doppelganger in it and doesn’t get polluted) so maybe it didn’t mean they didn’t mean it in a physical appearance sense.
  8. I don’t think Tsubaki/Kokonoe really counts for this since that is a dub only thing and Mori would put any truly significant double casting in the Japanese version. Some of the shared VA's seem to be important but it's mostly more of a reference to BlazBlue than a truly plot important connection. The only cases I think fit this are Ringo/Kokonoe (Kokonoe is Ringo’s descendant), Mei/Homura (Homura is a descendant of Mei), Watashi/Nine (same person) and Imouto/Celica (same person). Edit: There is one more significant case which is that Young Sechs has the same voice as Touya to highlight how similar the two were before Sechs went all nihilist due to learning his true nature and how the same might have happened to Touya. If there absolutely had to be a connection between Ragna and Sechs, the only thing I could think of is them both (potentially in Ragna’s case) being artificial humans. Assuming the “Ragna is not human” theory is true then perhaps the method Sech’s father used to create him is connected to however Ragna was made. Other than that they cannot have any relation to each other (and like with the Touya thing, there is no reasonable way for a very dead Sechs who was lost in the Boundary to become connected to Ragna's birth/creation).
  9. That sounds like a mistake to me. While it's true that, as the Eye of the Azure, she is the only one that can find the Master Unit there seem to be plenty of others that can destroy it once found. Izanami damaged the Master Unit in the CS True Ending and both her and Rachel's actions make it pretty clear Take-Mikazuchi was capable of nuking it if not for Tsukuyomi. Not to mention Kiiro's Murakumo is described as a weapon "designed to kill god" which suggests it has the same ability. It is possible that some form of Murakumo/Kusanagi is necessary to the process (Take-Mikazuchi had absorbed Nu at the time, Izanami has the possibly similar Yasakini No Magatama and people are being tasked with collecting all the Nox including Murakumo) but at the moment I can't believe that statement. Es was never a "resident" of Amaterasu, the Embryo is completely separate from it. All Es did was find it and make contact with it to learn "the truth" (all we know of this "truth" is that she saw the future Sechs wanted to create with the world covered in seithr) but she was never directly connected to the Master Unit and the "truth" doesn't seem like it was a lot of info since she is severely lacking jn understanding of the BlazBlue world (for one thing she was completely unaware of there being alternate timelines). There is no telling when the Girl got into the Master Unit or if there even ever was a previous resident, or if someone could leave the Unit without destroying it/the world they're Observing. Personally I lean toward her "always" having been there (as in she created this universe from inside it and has therefore been in it since the current BB universe began) since I don't see any chance for someone to have gotten into it aside from the 0th Prime Field who would have no memories to base the world on, and every other time the Unit has either been observed by humans or sealed and hidden from everyone in the Boundary.
  10. We don't really know all that much about how souls work to say that. Where Touya's soul came from/what it actually is is kinda unknown since he was created from Hinata forcing the Original Grimoire to revive the original Touya, which it did by stealing a whole crap load of souls with Soul Eater to turn itself into a new Touya (it's very similar to how we've seen the Nox smelt in That Which Is Inherited). Was his soul randomly chosen from those absorbed, did it come from the Boundary or did the process create a new soul? Who knows but it still makes it unclear if Touya's soul is special at all since it doesn't seem directly connected to the Original Grimoire like his body is (we see the Original Grimoire has a will of it's own that Touya talks to in Code: Embryo) and if it's not special then what would it change if it really is Ragna's soul? Remember Ragna was born/created sometime around 2180, more then 100 years after XBlaze and several decades after Touya would have died. We don't know if someone could hold a soul that long (especially if it was in Japan when it got nuked during the Dark War) in order to use it to create someone, or how/why someone would take Touya's soul. If Touya died his soul would have returned to the Abyss of the Azure along with all the other souls then the odds of his soul being the one that becomes Ragna (especially if Ragna is a Prime Field and had the same soul smelting issues as I mentioned with the Original Grimoire) are infinitesimal. And ultimately, why would it matter if Ragna has Touya's soul? There is no evidence that a soul retains anything from its past life so it wouldn't change anything about Ragna, and it wouldn't effect Es if she shows up since the two people are completely different and it doesn't change her happy life with Touya. I honestly think it's safe to just say Watashi/Imouto and Nine/Celica are the same people (because if not what's the point of introducing them). Aside from the exact same designs, voice actresses, personalities, relationships and powers in terms of Celica's seithr suppression, Watashi's files in the game are supposedly labeled KN (Konoe) and the game trolls you if you try and give Watashi one of Nine's names (it flat out says it is to early for her to be called Nine). This is all before Amane's Astral, the hint of Nine using her XBlaze in her Astral, her stage being the Phantom Field (meaning she would have to have been there before) and Es's appearance telling us XBlaze is probably going to be important. I'd say we are at a situation even more obvious than Phantom=Nine and Tager=Bullet's Captain, everyone knows it and there's no need to wait for Mori to eventually directly say it. As mentioned above, Es does regain Nobody's memories when she uses the Phantom Memories in her XBlaze. Her last scene has her thinking about her first and best friend Watashi and wondering if she could ever meet her again. I don't have anything else to add to your theory but yeah, since it's Mori who knows what the hell is going to happen or how he's going to justify this (and hopefully fix the alternate timeline thing from LM that made no damn sense).
  11. Who knows how on earth the connection would work. Presumably it would somehow involve someone getting pulled in to the Embryo like Naoto was (although how human Es in an alternate timeline sealed from the Boundary by the World of Tsukuyomi could get in I have no idea unless somehow Nine's stage being the Phantom Field would affect that). In theory both of them could be brought in but like how Raquel seems to have been brought in alongside Naoto but who knows. Technically all that remain in the Phantom Field is Nobody's soulless empty body that houses the Embryo to automatically maintain the Tsukuyomi so it really can't count as Nobody. Additionally there are multiple Embryos since all an Embryo really is is a crystallization of Azure made from thousands of souls and we've seen the creation of the new Embryo everyone is currently in. Since Nine's stage is supposed to be the Phantom Field, and the Phantom Field needs the Embryo in order to exist, Raquel's Embryo must be different from the Code: Embryo from XBlaze. Terumi cannot be Unomaru. For one thing they have completely different motivations and goals (Terumi believes the world is nothing but despair and should either by dead or filled with only the despair he believes in while Unomaru wants to save the world but believes the only way to do that is to remove free will by using Phenomenon Intervention to prevent anyone from doing anything violent or evil). Also how would Unomaru have previously been in the Susanoo Unit or gained all of the knowledge on Magic, Alchemy, the Boundary and everything else in such a short time (especially the Boundary since the second Unomaru opened it he was killed by Sechs)? The problem with Ragna being the Original Grimoire is that it doesn't fit well with Ragna's Azure Grimoire. The Original Grimoire draws on the power of the Black Beast inside the Boundary (presumably the one that the Azure Shrine Maiden sacrificed herself to seal hundreds of years ago) so if Ragna was the Original Grimoire that would mean that he should be able to turn into a Black Beast without his Azure Grimoire. However even when he becomes one on his own in his CS bad ending the Azure Grimoire is clearly going berserk so it can't just be like Touya becoming a Black Beast. Plus how would a fusion of an Azure Grimoire and a Murakumo Unit Black Beast also be an Original Grimoire that draws on the power of a different Black Beast? Why would Terumi create Rachel when he absolutely hates her? Also Es is a human so how would she become a vampire (and how would this explain why Rachel seems to remember Naoto due to some unknown connection to Raquel)? Finally, I doubt even Mori is cruel enough to do all this when the entire point of Lost: Memories was to give Es a happy ending. If everyone just dies again/gets forced to become the current characters then that isn't very happy. Now I could see her, and maybe Touya as well, being temporarily pulled into the current world in order to save Nine so Es could return the favor by giving Nine her own happy ending but crapping all over Es's happily ever after with Touya, unlikely.
  12. What makes you think Nine's creating a Black Beast? I'm pretty sure she just collected all the Nox Nyctores and that black thing is Take-Mikazuchi. All we know the Nox's can do to together is defeat Izanami, stop the distortion in the world caused by True Noel and allow Ragna and Nu to perform a perfect fusion (becoming a Black Beast is an incomplete fusion). She probably wants it for the second reason so she can kill the Master Unit and make her world.
  13. Not sure where you're getting that from since the two are the biggest unknown variables in the plot. Naoto is someone who shouldn't be here but somehow has been chosen to enter the Embryo as an Entitled. Not to mention how his existence directly impacts the main character and those closest to him. Their's also the connection with Raquel who is also an anomaly since she is somehow able to interfere from outside the Embryo. We know nothing about Amane except that's he's an Observer, is immortal (or at least ageless), is somehow immune to Slave Red and is the only person who knows the truth about what happened to bring everyone inside the Embryo. It's true that they are not trying to create a world from their wishes but they are still directly involved with The Girl who is more important than the villains and there's no knowing exactly how these events will tie into the main plot once everything is streamlined in Story Mode. Heck Bang became directly involved with the main plot in CP. It just seems too early to say they're disconnected to me.
  14. What do you mean by "off-topic?"
  15. I think I explained myself poorly. I didn't mean no free will quite like that, I just meant it in the sense that people would not be able to make the decisions that would lead to the end of the world (trying to access the Boundary and gain the power of god, kill Amaterasu etc.). They want a definitive world that will not be destroyed or overwritten. It doesn't matter whether or not the creators retain their free will since they know not to make the decisions that would lead to a reset and they do want a world that has them enforce their will on it as opposed to leaving the world to it's own devices as The Girl seems to have done (or had to do). Terumi's world doesn't need true free will, in the sense that everyone can have their own thoughts, opinions and morality that they develop based on their experiences, since all he needs is for people to inherently have a desire to kill each other. Even if they did have free will, if they are consumed by despair and violence then they wouldn't even have the chance to rationally experiment with seeking the Boundary and such. Relius wants "perfect dolls" not mindless ones. What exactly this means is unclear but it seems to suggest that he believes that these dolls can have infinite possibilities but still never screw up like people did. Nine is clearly a bit insane so she is enforcing her will on Celica. I can't find exactly where Nine explains her goal so forgive me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure all she cares about is creating a world where she thinks Celica will be happy, and that world will not let people stupidly destroy the world. Izanami isn't just "kill everything" she believes that death is the natural state of the world and wants to return it to such. Why would she have to be mindless now if my point was about the world they intend to create? Whether she will let herself "die" when that happens is unknown but the implication of her being True Noel's Drive is that Izanami is the manifestation of her despair with the world and wants to simply have everything end (hence Rachel's line from the trailer about this needing to be resolved before "she wishes for the destruction of the world"). Maybe free will wasn't the best way to put it. I just meant they want world's where it is impossible for people to screw up so bad that everything needs to restart again and they all have different reasons and methods of trying to accomplish this.
  16. I'm pretty sure this is the Central Fiction (Nine calls it the unchangeable truth of the world in the first trailer). The way I see it is that no matter what world is created by the Embryo, whether it be the current world created by Amaterasu, a new one created by an Entitled or (my personal belief) the world that came before the current one, at the very core of the world is the idea that everything and everyone is inevitably screwed. Any world will ultimately lead to ruin like what is happening now; with the creator being killed and the best one can hope for is someone halfway decent to create a world they desire and repeat the cycle again. In the Act III trailer the person who is most likely Izanami says "The possibilities that people is possessing is inviting the world into ruin. Who was it that excavated his armor? Who was it that tried to contact god? No matter which age, doesn't everything begins with miserable desires". There is no happy ending because people keep taking the steps that lead to the temptation of the Boundary, the release of the Black Beast and ultimately the creation of a new Embryo. Basically as long as people continue to have free will and do stupid things as people are wont to do, everything is doomed. This would explain why all of the worlds the villains wanted to create (Terumi's world of despair where everyone kills each other for his amusement, Relius's world of perfect dolls, Izanami's world of death and Nine's world only for Celica) have no way for people to repeat the process by eliminating free will from the equation. At least, that's my theory, hopefully this makes sense.
  17. Unless the game comes is a 10 disc set I think it's physically impossible to explain absolutely everything, but hopefully they'll do a good enough job tying up all the loose ends. An Extend seems inevitable at this point and will probably add a lot of background story things like with CP. Then again we have no idea if they will return to the CT-CS individual character story modes since each character has so much going on with their own memory loss and wishes etc. or continue with the CP combined story mode (I'm not sure we need a story mode for each character since we're already going to have 90 Arcade stories to go through) so this game is going to be ungodly massive either way. I found it odd that they had such a long pause on that image with seemingly no dialogue so I hope you're right. Still kinda annoying that they felt the need to not subtitle it, which does nothing except screw over people who can't hear the scene (like us).
  18. That's how I saw it too. Especially since the end has the creepy Izanami picture flash and then shows Rachel alone. Going based on this I figured it might be cool to try and break it up into who is saying each part for context. This is just a guess. I: This is a purge towards the people from god. Don't get in the way... observer. R: A purge? Don't make me laugh. The thing you're doing is only a massacre. Even if this world returns to nothingness, that is the truth. ACT3 “The Replacement Blue” I: The possibilities that people is possessing is inviting the world into ruin. Who was it that excavated his armor? Who was it that tried to contact god? No matter which age, doesn't everything begins with miserable desires. R: I won't deny it. People was always foolish. … but even so, I believe. That the possibilities that people possesses, which you are denying, will cut open the future. I: Is that your choice. R: Right. It's mine and also “theirs” choice. Even if the world for sure is getting closer to ruin... The people will find with the path they should take their own hands. I: … then you should also, wish that desire of yours to the azure. And then inside the true despair that arrives, and greet the time of demise... You human who was an observer before. If these are the right people then that line about Rachel says that she is a human who was once an Observer. Is she human now what the hell!
  19. I'm not entirely sure what to think yet since (to my knowledge) we don't have a translation and I can't hear the dialogue so all I have to go off of is the images. Most of the images are just self-explanatory (Kagura protecting Noel or Nine having all the Noxs) or have too little context. That Izanami image is creepy as hell though. The image of Rachel at the ending bothers me the most. There doesn't seem to be any dialogue with it and I have no context but the bits of azure blowing away just gives me a very "something bad has happened vibe" like either that's Rachel disappearing or she's all that's left. I know that probably makes no sense but that's just what my initial impression was.
  20. Assuming this is post LM Es then yes she still has Murakumo. She doesn't have an XBlaze though since her use of it against Freaks was a one-time thing that used all of Nobody's Phantom Memories. It's unclear how strong Es is. Supposedly she's a completely normal human but Mei doubts that since she can easily wield the Murakumo and once threw a man much larger than her. Es says that the sword is simply very light (it might be since only her and Touya are even able to wield it) and that she simply used leverage so she might or might not have super strength. Not sure how Spinner could be Terumi. They have absolutely nothing in common (for one Terumi hates vampires and Spinner is creepily obsessed with one) and last we saw him he was a completely insane Arakune-like blob monster that got thrown into the Boundary. Plus it's hinted that the man named Hazama who appears in the BE2 teaser is Terumi.
  21. Not sure how that would work. The reason she didn't exist is because she didn't survive getting nuked by Take-Mikazuchi (and I'm pretty sure that happens in more than one timeline). It's more that "Noel Vermilion" didn't exist because Mu-12 was killed before she became Noel so she technically existed as a pile of ash in the ruins of Ibukido. Also not sure how a Noel that had a soul for at most 10 seconds could have enough memories to use them to create the current world. Then again what do I know, I'm the person who believes that the girl is in the Master Unit because she created the entire BlazBlue world through a previous use of the Embryo.
  22. Can you blame her? This strange person who's existence baffles her but she somehow recognizes is getting a bit too touchy (seriously Naoto it's called personal space, you did the same thing to Nu). He's also setting off all her Ragna's screwed alarms which have a high chance of causing her to lose her cool. Plus she's just pissed cause she wants it to be the actual Ragna pushing her up against the wall and holding her like that.
  23. I see. So would it be something like Relius manipulating the Embryo in Act I or more like Azrael punching his way into it? Or is it something completely different if she is supposedly somehow completely outside the Embryo (maybe still in the Boundary).
  24. Just wanted to make sure since the term Gate usually refers to something else. Fair enough regarding the Cauldron but I'm gonna stick to that theory for now since it is the most straightforward and neat explanation we've got (it explains both his appearance and how he knows about them). Sucks about the writing. I'm still hoping either she wrote the novel already and is just waiting for the right time to release it or she will have time to right it by the console release. On a completely different note, there are a lot of interesting things I didn't get to talk about regarding Naoto's arcade. Sorry this is formatted wrong with the copied quotes but could someone explain to me how to quote things from two different pages? "Ragna: What is going on...? Your drive is..." It's interesting that Ragna seems to recognize Naoto's Bloodedge, I'm starting to think Bloodedge is somehow tied into the Black Beast since Hakumen mentions that he feels the same "evil power" from Naoto's arm as he does from the Dark One and Ragna gets the white hair and red eye after fusing with the Azure Grimoire similar to using Bloodedge. Connection to the Black Beast might also explain the shadow limbs Naoto uses in BE. "Naoto: You are Hades Izanami? … Shit!! What is going on in this world!!??" Maybe I'm reading this wrong but it sounds like Naoto recognizes the name Hades Izanami. Does this mean he learned about it before? Since Relius had Saya Terumi maybe he tried to use her as a vessel (although clearly he failed if Naoto is confused by Izanami possessing someone). "Izanami: That voice...? This is in the embryo. Are you saying it's an direct interference to the Embroy? Who is it!?" So apparently Raquel is part of the Embryo now? I know she was made from an Embryo but I didn't expect her to literally be the current Embryo. It does explain Naoto being Entitled though. "Wasn't there something big floating there before...But it isn't there now." Is he talking about Amaterasu? Why would it disappear from the sky if it still exists?
  25. That begs the question of how Naoto could get into the Boundary without a Cauldron. The only other method we've seen is the portal Spinner created (is that what you mean by the "gate" in BE). Valkenhayn says he will send Naoto "back to the Cauldron" which suggests that was his method of travel. Was the author of Phase Shift credited in the CP arcade? We don't know exactly how much of CF she is writing so it's possible she is doing both. As for Es and Naoto, it could be connected to Raquel more than Naoto since Naoto only saw her after Raquel called out to him. Maybe Raquel saw a vision of her when Clavis connected her to the Boundary (that might explain why the image is inaccurate) or perhaps the Embryo that made Raquel is connected to the Embryo that Es left behind. That was my thought as well. It seems odd to have the two become friends if it never becomes relevant (and they do promise to see each other again in the ending so it could be foreshadowing). Even if she can't save Nine, at the very least having someone else she sincerely cares about will throw a wrench in the whole "world only for Celica" plan. I figured that Relius had to have someway of replacing the Master Unit after Noel told him "reconstruction without the Master Unit is impossible". Had no idea he needed Ignis for it though, that's pretty cool.
