  1. Prime Field and Murakumo are two different things. Izayoi is a prototype of the Murakumo Units (the giant swords). Prime Fields are the robot girls.
  2. When he fights her in Act II, Amane says that because Minerva fought an Observer like him, Celica's time got extended a little. That's all I can remember. Then again half the damn cast has a ticking time bomb over their head (Ragna, Rachel, Hakumen, Luna, Sena and Terumi) so it's not like Celica's case requires immediate attention.
  3. Does Jubei ever really come up in Arcade modes? I can't think of any besides the Rachel one we're waiting on details for now. He doesn't have a sprite or even artwork like for Trinity or Kokonoe in CS so it's not surprising that with all the insanity happening nobody stopped and said "Huh, I wonder what Jubei's up to?"
  4. So I guess that's how they're explaining the appearance of Rachel, Hazama and the mysterious Ragna-like guy. It will happen later for them.
  5. Has to be CP. It shows "Mu shaped Noel" and Mu fought berserk Ragna in Godslayer mode during CP's True Ending. Something interesting about that "gate" and Es. In XBlaze Lost: Memories Hinata had a dream about her past. In the dream the girl who was kidnapped at a young age by scientists (her) was told to stand in front of a gate and try to talk to a girl on the other side to convince her to open the gate. No matter what Hinata did the girl never responded. I initially believed this was just how Hinata processed the experiments to open the Gate to the Boundary with the Embryo but perhaps there is something more to it and that is the gate Es is protecting.
  6. Ok seriously what the hell is going on with Naoto? There is no way for us to hear "person that looks like female Hakumen called Justice" without immediately assuming he's talking about Guilty Gear. Also apparently this Naoto is an alternate Naoto from a different version of events then Relius remembers? Is Raquel saying that BB is the starting point for BE (chronologically earlier)? When does this Naoto's timeline differ from the main timeline. Relius mentions making Naoto's limbs so clearly Relius experienced everything up to the Spinner fight, which would mean Clavis kills Naoto later. But then how could Relius not know of a past Hazama if Relius met him in BE 2? Also Hakumen confirms what he hinted at in his victory quote, Naoto has the power of the Black Beast. I can't! My brain! DAMMIT MORI!!!!!
  7. Es is NOT the Master Unit. It is completely and utterly impossible based on Lost: Memories' ending and even how the Code: Embryo itself works (it's power did not come from the Master Unit). Es did come in contact with the Unit (which might explain the image with the gate) and who knows what that gate actually is but that is a completely separate thing.
  8. Honestly at this point I wouldn't be surprised if it could do absolutely anything (except make Ragna's life not suck, no power in the universe can do that). Although that raises a question. How can the Power of Order Observe something (thus making it's user an Observer) but at the same time negate the Immortal Breaker (which kills Observers)? I think we're missing something here. So the real Clavis's coffin is inside the world of the Embryo? I thought the Embryo world was separate from the real world. Also gotta wonder what this cube is to make it so important Clavis would take it to the grave with him.
  9. Is there any context on how/why Terumi is fighting himself?
  10. It sounds like he's saying the cube is the vessel and as far as we know, the Susanoo Unit does not transform into cube mode and I doubt he just killed Hakumen so it's probably something different.
  11. Carl suddenly took a turn for the creepy. Also why is Terumi holding the Allspark?
  12. Since when could the Power of Order be used to Observe people? So at the end Trinity is in a separate body right? Well, guess that and her having an Arcade portrait basically confirm she'll be playable in the console release.
  13. Everyone is going after Noel because she is the Absolute Entitled denying their wishes. That is the confirmed explanation and nothing in that directly links Noel with Amatersu. Now why Noel is the Absolute Entitled hasn't been revealed yet and maybe there is a link somewhere in that. At the very least, Ragna didn't recognize the "Girl" he saw as Noel.
  14. Rachel has NO value not a value of 0, that is a very important distinction. Rachel appears to Naoto via Phenomenon Intervention at the beginning of Bloodedge Experience. Yes she is not supposed to exist yet but somehow she is there (it's probably Cauldron shenanigans since we've seen she can willingly travel back in time in the Phase Shift novels). It's one of the many questions that make the absence of a third BE novel incredibly frustrating.
  15. It's a complete and utter mystery at the moment. However it doesn't necessarily mean she was dead. People who are dead have a life force of 0. Rachel has no reading at all which is something entirely different.
  16. Figured I'd let everyone know that the awesome Sourenga has added translations for Jin and Hazama's Act II arcades. You know where to find them. As for the various final opponents in each character's Act III. I thought it would be interesting to look at what confrontations we know are going to happen based on the CG's we've recieved. From the Opening: Hibiki vs. Hazama: Probably Hibiki's story since I can't see Hibiki being important enough to be Hazara's final opponent. Kokonoe vs. Nine: Probably Kokonoe's story since it looks pretty incompatible with the image of Nine and all the Nox. Makoto vs. Izayoi: Probably Makoto's story since we have another image that would fit Izayoi better. Carl vs. Noel: Almost certainly Carl since it focuses on him and Ada. Hazama vs. Terumi: Could be either one of theirs, not enough context for me to decide. Mu vs. Nu: I think it's Mu's based on positioning but it could easily be Nu's. Ragna vs. Jin: That image of the two clashing at the end seems way too prominent for this climactic clash not to happen. From Gamer's preview: Jin vs. Noel or possibly Jin vs. Kagura: We see Kagura interfering to protect Noel. Assuming the quotes shown with the image happen while the CG is shown it is more likely that Kagura arrives to save Noel as opposed to it being his fight which would presumably have pre-fight dialogue with Jin. Then again it could have been Kagura vs. Noel but he has a change of heart and decides to protect her from Jin. Naoto vs. Rachel: I think it's Naoto's since the dialogue from the trailer suggests Rachel's final opponent is Izanami. Izanami vs. Relius: Probably Izanami's since the dialogue is about her existential crisis and Relius is barely in the shot. Then again it seems to be in Izanami's stage so that might mean it's Relius's. From the Trailer: Izayoi vs. Hakumen: Probably Izayoi's. Jin's Act II reveals that only the Zero-Type Izyoi can kill Noel and he intends to make Tsubaki do it. Him telling her this would explain why she's so distraught in the CG and the focus on her emotions would make it more likely her story. Lambda vs. Relius: Probably Lambda's since Lambda doesn't seem quite significant enough an opponent for such a heavy lifter in the plot as Relius. Valkenhayn vs. Amane: It looks to be from Valkenhayn's perspective due to his rage and the location doesn't fit with the one of Amane in the opening. Rachel vs. Izanami: No direct confirmation but the ending CG of her standing alone doesn't fit with the one of her fighting with Naoto, suggesting a different opponent. The extended dialogue from the trailer seems to fit with a Rachel vs. Izanami fight that ends with Rachel's final line and that CG. The focus on Rachel in the final shot and Izanami's opponent having a high chance of Relius make this likely Rachel's story. I probably put too much thought into this but oh well. Thoughts?
  17. It's left pretty vague whether or not everyone regains their memories of her from CE. Touya does remember her unconsciously but it's unclear if it becomes something more. As you said, Touya and Mei seem to know her origins as a Prime Field (Es flat out tells Mei that she wouldn't exist if not for the Wadatsumi Incident and Mei connects it to Unomaru) but whether that means they remembered it or Es told them about it isn't specified. The fact that they accept it so easily might suggest they do remember (Touya had also realized that there were blanks in his memory like not remembering who saved him from the first Union he encountered) but we have no definite answer and ultimately it doesn't change that much. It wouldn't be the first time people in BlazBlue remember something impossible that no longer exists. I'm siding with us getting at least three new questions for each answer we get (if we get any answers at all). We're not gonna get any definitive answers since those will be saved for Story Mode.
  18. To be fair, the openings have a fair amount of Engrish in them so it's possible "Leave no regret behind" isn't exactly what it was meant to mean. However, that line could still have a positive meaning. "Life with/never forget your regrets" could mean something like "don't try to run away from your mistakes and your past, they are part of you and you should bear them while heading toward the future." This line is particularly poignant if it's directed at Noel, who has spent the first two Acts rejecting herself and denying change. As for the speaker, if it is supposed to be a character speaking as a opposed to an outside narrator or a tagline, I would also put my money on Rachel. The Act III trailer was entirely a conversation between her and Izanami and she is essentially the "leader" of the heroes (in the sense that she is the most knowledgable about the overarching plot and the world itself) so she certainly is relevant enough to deliver that line. The line also could fit with the promise she made with Ragna in her CT story (that he would continue to fight without regrets no matter what happens or how broken he becomes) and her final line from the Act III trailer about him not giving up reiterating this. Also, total tangent but she's hardly a "lazy leech" since she has been literally killing herself by taking action since CP's True Ending (and her Tsukuyomi Unit is the only thing that stopped Izanami from destroying Amaterasu), it's just that she can't accomplish everything by herself and is entrusting her wishes to Ragna like she always has. Terumi only says he wants to "use" the Successor of the Azure, what he intends to use Noel for I have no idea, not necessarily possess her. Not sure how he could even do that since he can only fuse with someone who is incredibly similar to him and Noel is about as un-Terumi as you can get. Plus it would stand to reason that whatever is preventing him from fusing with Hazama would stop him from doing it with anyone else. The reason he wanted the Susanoo Unit is because it works differently, being a suit of armor inhabited by a soul so he could use it if he finds a way to evict Hakumen. I'm almost certain they won't put a giant Take-Mikazuchi-esque boss in Arcade Mode. If the Black Beast does reappear (CP's True Ending hints that it will since Izanami says she will use it to create her world of death) and is possibly the Final Boss, that would be only in Story Mode. Arcade stories have way too little time for them to explain where a new Black Beast came from and give it's appearance buildup.
  19. Huh. I haven't seen that one so I didn't know that. My mistake. I'm still pretty sure of them fighting because of the opening though.
  20. What the hell is Kokonoe wearing on her back and why does she have giant robot cat ears? Probably because Ada doesn't think Carl should murder Noel for her sake. Not the first time she's stopped him when he's gotten a bit overzealous. I'd say this confirms no new Act III boss character since there are no hints like with Izanami in Act II. One interesting thing. If you remember back to the first trailer, towards the end there was an image of Jin facing off with a berserk Ragna. We haven't seen that CG yet and the opening hints at a Ragna vs. Jin fight at the very end. That means that one of the two's Arcade stories (or both) will be fighting against the other.
  21. Here's how I see it. When the Magic Guild resurrected Ripper's body, the Kiri personality was born and Ripper's soul was forced to inhabit Brain Cat. When Kiri bit Touya and drained half of the seithr from the Original Grimoire, Ripper let his soul mix with the massive amounts of seithr and get absorbed into Kiri's body, using said power to forcibly take control of the body and become Freaks. This seithr was naturally stored inside the Crystal in his eye and thus his soul would also be housed there when it was absorbed. Es and Touya destroy the Crystal that houses all of the seithr and Ripper's soul (or at least, the power Ripper needed to hijack Kiri's body) letting Kiri regain his sense of self and get control of the body. Now normally a Union dies when their Crystal is destroyed since the Crystal is bonded to their nervous system. However Ripper is a Strange Red. His Crystal is permanently in Phase 0 and thus wouldn't actually fuse with his nervous system so much like with Akira, Kiri's body could survive having the Crystal removed.
  22. I doubt he's the boss. All of the Entitled are gunning for Playable Noel (Jin and Izanami flat out tell Playable Noel to her face that she is the cause of the distortion that needs to be destroyed before an Entitled can create a new world, not Amaterasu) so no one has any reason to fight Ragna, or any way for everyone to reliably find Ragna (or Noel for that matter) unlike every other Arcade boss (Nu awakens from the Sheol Gate, Hazama waits by the Monolith, Nine teleports people to her and Izanami waits for the Entitled to challenge her when Amaterasu appears). I would say Ragna is there just because he's the protagonist of the series and is representative of their being no boss. Bloodedge Experience takes place several years, if not decades, before the Black Beast appeared. I've generally heard BE theorized as taking place around 2090 due to Relius's age but personally I think it's closer to 2070 due to Mei, Yuki and TOi. At the very least, Relius is clearly not yet the leader of the Ten Sages in BE (the Immortal Breakers seem independent of the Magic Guild and the image in his Act I arcade shows One looking the same age as modern Relius, not BE Relius). Naoto looks to be roughly the same age in BE and CF so no matter what he is too young to be from 2099. Additionally, Naoto heavily implies to Nine that he willingly came to the present (probably by jumping into a Cauldron) specifically to save Raquel and Nine telling him to go back to the people dear to him means that his friends and family are not dead. Why would Naoto know about the friend of his distant relative (not cousin, Mei is much older)? Mei's organization that Es worked in and the fact that she used to be a Prime Field are almost certainly kept secret so Naoto would have no reason to have spoken with Mei about her (and even if he did, he wouldn't have seen a picture of her from when she was in high school). There's also the question of whether or not Es even exists in Naoto's life because of the Lost: Memories split timeline bs (which yes I tend to ignore in discussion because it honestly makes no sense). Naoto lives in the canon timeline that leads to the Dark War (Relius and Valkenhayn remember him), which is almost certainly Watashi's timeline (otherwise she has no reason to exist). The Wadatsumi Incident never occurred in this timeline and thus Es was never created (Unomaru created her to try and inherit a new Embryo after Hinata failed and Es explicitly says she and Touya would not exist without the Incident). Granted I hate the idea that XBlaze just somehow didn't happen in the main timeline (because then it would have no reason to exist) and have tried to come up with many theories to explain how both timelines mix but if we are using the two timelines that is the explanation. Am I the only one who hates the idea of fighting Amaterasu? It is literally the thing that is keeping the world alive and cannot be a villain of any kind, let alone the final one. Even if the Entitled and the villains might have reason to destroy it, Ragna doesn't and he is unquestionably the person who will fight the final boss. It also doesn't seem to have any real way to defend itself since it relies on the Tsukuyomi Unit for protection. I'm pretty sure Rachel is still talking to Izanami. The lines follow the flow of the rest of the conversation. At the very least she isn't talking to Ragna since she says "he" will not give up, not "you." I'm not sure if Ragna is acting on orders from her, even though he trusts her he doesn't like it when he tells her what to do, so much as she is placing her faith in him like she always has.
  23. Further proof that the only thing that the only thing that can well and truly make Rachel angry is when something threatens her husbando Ragna. What do you mean by her Astral Heat "calling Soul Eater?" I've tried listening to her dialogue like a dozen times and I don't hear anything that remotely sounds like Soul Eater. "This Girl" is almost guaranteed to be referring to the girl inside the Amaterasu Unit. Rachel calls Izanami the Drive of "she who nobody is higher than in existence" which pretty clearly corresponds to Amaterasu (the literal god of the world). Izanami is also aware that she is Amaterasu's antonym and thus is inherently linked to the Amaterasu girl (whether she is someone named Noel or not). Also, Saya Terumi's personality doesn't seem to fit with what we know about the Amaterasu girl (based on the Story of the World and the world she is trying to preserve). Naoto confirms that Izanami is not the same as Saya Terumi. The reason Izanami says she can't move her body properly is most likely because Saya, like many others, is recognizing Naoto as similar to Ragna. If Saya Terumi is in any way connected to things, my personal theory is that she was the person Relius modeled the 0th Prime Field after (much like Lambda, Mu and Nu are based on Saya). Relius is already hinted to be the creator of the original Prime Field, he kidnapped Saya Terumi in BE2 and at the end was greeted by "Hazama" (we have no idea who this) who said the Mitsurugi Agency ordered him to help Relius with something. Terumi's version of the story of the world heavily implies that the Prime Field who got the Eye of the Azure (the 0th isn't the one who reached the Azure because there were many failures) only gained a soul in the Boundary (he describes the Prime Fields as empty puppets until one "grew" a soul). That also leads into the problems with the girl in Amaterasu being the Prime Field. One, the Sankishin existed long before the Prime Field experiments (and was capable of emitting a Discover Call and granting information on "the truth" to people who touch it in XBlaze CE, which was also before the experiments). Two, the girl in Amaterasu built the world from "her memories" so her soul needed to have its own memories to base the world on. The Prime Field had a soul for all of 10 seconds before she became the Eye of the Azure and thus no knowledge of the world and nothing she would want to preserve in her memory. Sorry if this comes off as rude. Saya Terumi being Izanami or Amaterasu (or really anyone of uber plot importance aside from being Naoto's sister, having Soul Eater or Relius having interest in her) are some of the theories that well and truly bother me. since they alway feels like they're based on basic, surface level evidence (much like the idea that Terumi is Unomaru) or are clung to despite them being explicitly proven false (Es is inside the Amaterasu Unit).
  24. This is the trailer at the end of Izanami's Act II. We've just gotten a proper of video where we can actually hear what they are saying. Rachel's line is only new from our perspective since it inexplicably isn't subtitled and the recording we got before had all the sound drowned out. They did the same thing in Act I with Nine's Arcade so it's no surprise. We should be getting the Act III opening soon anyway.
  25. Awesome! We finally get to hear the last line from Rachel. My Japanese isn't great so correct me if I'm wrong and forgive me if I'm out of place for posting this but putting it together with Zedar's previous translation we seems to get this. I: This is a purge towards the people from god. Don’t get in the way… observer. R: A purge? Don’t make me laugh. The thing you’re doing is only a massacre. Even if this world returns to nothingness, that is the truth. I: The possibilities that people is possessing is inviting the world into ruin. Who was it that excavated his armor? Who was it that tried to contact god? No matter which age, doesn’t everything begins with miserable desires. R: I won’t deny it. People was always foolish. … but even so, I believe. That the possibilities that people possesses, which you are denying, will cut open the future. I: Is that your choice. R: Right. It’s mine and also “theirs” choice. Even if the world for sure is getting closer to ruin… The people will find with the path they should take their own hands. I: … then you should also, wish that desire of yours to the azure. And then inside the true despair that arrives, greet the time of demise… You human who was an observer before. (new) R: Even so he will not give up. That's correct, isn't it Ragna?
