  1. Exactly, this is a game of fanservice and what bigger show of that then having a living PLAYABLE Aerith!? The dream match of the century, Aerith vs Sephiroth, VENGEANCE! Also saying she lacks the "badassness" to compete with Garland and Firion, then by that logic no mage character should be in this game, especially Shanotto, Tina, and Yuna. Speaking of Yuna is the perfect example of WHY Aerith could be playable, she arguably has no way of attacking, realistically her Aeons should've taken her place and removed Yuna from play, but instead Square found a great way to make it work without such drastic alterations and Yuna is actually a really aggressive character that doesn't play like any of the other mages. Not trying to start anything, it's just very disheartening to see so many resources essentially going to waste. A character's fighting ability (or lack of) should never be a determining factor especially when we've seen so many examples (both good and joke worthy) of characters ascending the norm. Uwa! I'm so glad someone else is happy about this! I knew it was a sign when AmiAmi said they wouldn't be able to fulfill my pre-order, they wanted to save me money to buy the domestic release :3 Although I still might import it, if only to get the artbook/CD And naughty PK why you telling Blade about my sources lol = w= Also... GET HYPE! (not 012 related )
  2. Must...resist...setting up game and enjoying... >.<
  3. For those that understand, apparently it takes anywhere from 40mins~1hr 40mins (100mins) to install the data for 012! That is the longest I've seen for a PSP game, judging by the original I know it'll be worth it but man ~ .~ Wish we knew the maximum data size... Oh and I'm not done debating about Aerith's validity as a fighter! I'm just tired right now, I'll respond to it in the morning = w=
  4. I see no problem with this, it would've been interesting to see how and what Square could do with her, I think you guys are letting them off too easy because she's "just a healer/supporter". Materia would work as no none of the FF7 cast really integrate it into their attacks, and hell half the cast are already spell casters, so why not? Also she has a staff, remember guys? She can totally go toe to toe, it'd be nice to see Aeirth getting the spotlight she deserves, and she'd be like a better Shanotto. But while we're talking about characters utilizing their game's systems, I would've loved to seen a FF8 character (Quistis or Selphie) using the Draw system in battle! Think outside the bun box! ~Taco Bell
  5. It's not bootleg like the Captain Punisher alt. Norman Osbourn (the Green Goblin) whore that armor while he led the Dark Avengers, serving as the "hero" the public needed. Eh I'm not going to buy any DLC costumes because I only use 3 characters and they won't be seeing any/good costumes (X-23 could get her X-Force outfit, but it's not all that amazing. Phoenix would most likely get 90s Jean or even worst Marvel Girl, neither of which I want. And Morrigan...well even if they wanted to they couldn't really mess with her design due to battle purposes and never having had a real alt anyways) So unless so REAL surprises are in store you can count me out.
  6. Ugh, of course they'd add Hakuro before they'd add Touka ; A; looks like my dream won't be coming true... Well at least Tears to Tiara is getting a bit more love. (Updating opening post = w= and thanks Heca for always bringing new details to light!) EDIT - When I stop being so lazy I'll translate the system screens (located in the media post) and write it in the system post!
  7. Well the DLC whoring begins tomorrow! The first costume back will run $5/400MSp and include the 6 costumes we were shown for Ryu, Dante, Chris, Cap, Iron Man, and Thor. Also the first Shadow Mode DLC will be available as well, notice how I said FIRST, yes it appears Capcom is going to stretch this out as much as they can as the first pack only gives you data based on Nitsuma (boasted as Capcom Japan's best QA Tester). The Nitsuma pack is free, and so long as the other are as well, it shouldn't be too big an issue. = w=
  8. Game has content a plenty! Also it appears there is still a hidden mode...and group battles sound awesome! :3
  9. Not really, least not for me, unlike so many others I'm not afraid to play with Phoenix without 5 bars, hell sometimes I'll deliberately call her out and use her for a good while (especially if you let me get off a whole air combo). Also snapbacks are risky because you have to spend a whole meter for em, and that can mean life and death in this game, especially if the person you're snapping in is good. Not to say they aren't awesome especially if you severely punish an assist, you know I wanna finish the job. Shoryuken.com is pretty much MvC central, they even got a "hyper guide" that's coming along well. However I recommend getting the Brady guide anyways.
  10. Great, Kazuya gets the Devil Gene back...again...
  11. Aunt May for God tier
  12. This pic...is from the FUTURE!!! (oh and is totally awesome! <3 Alisa, her two toned hair comes out nicer in B&W) Jun is looking pretty F'n awesome, and so does the updated engine :3 I just wonder how they'll differentiate her from Asuka...could Lili be heading for a love affair!? :o
  13. But by the time the game shipped 1 character was already 100% complete and the other was like 90%. And a week later a patch comes that makes the other 100. So a week delay to include what was already there should've been within acceptable parameters. Or well at least allow us to buy them now, plenty of games have BS release DLC. Not that I care, I bought the special edition and I probably won't play either one = w=
  14. Me too, but that video shows the missing sound files are in (as now Jill has tag in sound for others and vice versa, and she also has audio with her win quotes) and Shuma was stated as being complete from the start. A rumor is that ver 1.01 added the "fixes". My gripe is the characters were already/almost complete so why force us to wait a month (when they could've been released sooner) or the bigger question why wasn't the game pushed back a week or 2 to prevet us from paying for stuff that's already there...
  15. I'm a member of S.T.A.R.S.! So why are we being forced to not only pay for Jill and Shuma but also wait a whole month before use again?
  16. Because this is the internet, a place that makes everyone feels like their opinions matter, and when that happens everyone assumes their right. Who cares about Furries? I'm talk'n bout Nekomimi son
  17. Aside from the vid being 13mins long I think it's a great review, and humorous, who knew Cobra commander was the CEO of Capcom? The button complaint is easily the weakest point, but not something that uncredits the entire review. And honestly why the hell does this game (or any 4 button fighter for that reason) bother with "Simple Modes" the systems area already pretty dumbed down, especially in MvC3's case as it only allows for Magic series inputs and there are only like 2-3 notations in the entire game.
  18. Reminds me of Bushido Blade, just with my fist! Thanks TC :3 looks interesting.
  19. lol, this is Capcom's business plan, not the entire Dev world's. Capcom can afford to put out shit on a stick because they spent the last 3 generations making great titles and building a loyal fanbase. But in this era they have grown arrogant and lazy (just like Square Enix) and believe that anything will do because you're going to buy it anyways (which most will, if only because they have no idea, they merely see "oh a new SF/MvC" and assume they're getting more of the best)
  20. Compared to CS tutorial and Challenge modes, SSF4 and MvC3's are a joke IMO. No one is born an expert, and when I was doing missions it was really annoying to have to go in the menu to see what moves were which (especially annoying for command moves as I try to guess special moves since there's only like 2-3 notations in this game )
  21. lol yeah you right x.x
  22. Waifu! <3 *huggles* + w+ The background is lovely, I love the text and bg color choice, it really helps bring out Kamui <3 and the black border is a nice touch as well!
  23. - KoF XII's gameplay was solid (hardly polished considering the previous entry) it's main problem was it was just very bare minimum (rectified in XIII). - A legitimate excuse, some people are still salty in the format change, not everyone is used to 4 button fighters. - Yes, but he goes on to say that experienced players (and those who take the steps to reach those levels) will have no trouble, but the purely casual crowd and beginners will be easily dishearten. - Well cause...it kinda is. We were basically given the finished beta code with little consideration into anything else. Even by Capcom standards this game is pathetic in it's production values (outside the core combat) and I know "lolthisisafightinggame :v:" but it's also a video game trying to reach out to various consumers, and such blandness is pretty inexcusable, So...yes. Sentinel is only a pain with the right assist, on his own the dude seriously isn't that scary.
  24. QUOTED FOR FUCKIN' TRUTH!
  25. Well... So... Japan was pretty godly at MvC2 as well, it was only a matter of time.
