If you know what you're doing both RPG Maker and Fight Maker are perfecting fine engines for their respective genres. The [immediately apparent] reason to switch engines would be commercial value. Sadly as awesome as RPG/Fighter Maker are, you technically aren't allowed to distribute it with intent to profit. At the time this was an acceptable clause because they were making a fan game based on a license franchise, so they couldn't sell it [without major repercussions] anyways. But now that the game will feature original characters, they could [if they so wish] actually sell it now. Of course moving on to a more flexible engine like the one that powers Skullgirls is wonderful for a myriad of reasons that deal directly with development, but how much they actually want to use and can use are weighed down by a number of factors (the most prominent being budget). This is wonderful news no doubt, however...

LOL I was literally thinking about this after Raven's reveal, like maybe we could get a Teen Titans (DCAU) themed set of missions like the Red Son and Blackest Night packs, with alt voices, but thought it would be silly, good to see that silly is just how NetherRealms likes to think = w=b And I'm rather enjoying Arrow, so I welcome the switch up.

Not gonna lie, Raven's gameplay looks pretty fun... But man, you know who I would've wanted in this game before Nightwing and Catwoman... Cassandra Cain v.v too bad she's dead to the world, damn you New 52! ; -;

I don't want everyone to be "good" online, just...ya know...competent... 85% of the people I fight online mash out the same string no matter the distance, situation, or if it keeps getting them stuffed. And that is just...annoying. Hell I'll take Hold mashers over that D: So like I just want people to think and do their best. Is that too much to ask? ; -;

ver 1.03 Complete Patch Notes [System Changes|Character Changes] It'll be interesting to see how this affects the game's growth and I really like Teccoei's presentation of the change list. Sadly unless I get more mobile I doubt I'll be able to get much offline play in as my scene hates anything not Marvel/SF4 .v. and online players are like THE definition of bad. #profoundsadness

Not really since Crush Triggers are alot more versatile in and out of combos. And several games have had guard break attacks before BB.

The Japanese love word games and association, particularly with foreign words (3nd Impact) it's not really a big deal, the actual implications of the words are irrelevant as it is an in-lore term, so it can be changed and pronounced in any way, even completely defying the original connotation. No discrepancy would occur, only an explanation (which in general is what UNiB is bad at in general as they toss around tons jargon without much explanation). I don't think the story is "shit" just simple and bare like pretty much any arcade title lol, should they wish to truly expand on the franchise I would hope they make truly fleshed out story mode, of course that's no guarantee that the quality would improve, but hopefully at the very least character interactions would hold more weight. -

Apparently there will be an upgrade (ver 1.10) to AC+R (arcades) in January. They provided a PDF of changes and locations in which you can locate your nearest game center with the title.

Not very likely due to Mizuumi apparently, I'm not sure if they have any forum setup for it anywhere, but at the very least you have their wiki and can bring up any discussion in here, or wherever.
