  5. No it's true, Over Drive enhances Distortion Drive attacks (only by making them stronger I believe), it even changes the background color
  6. random Sagat vs Evil Ryu The "effort" is very minimal since you're making a fully 3D model and aren't required to specifically draw only what's shown to the screen, the only time you'll see when a model is mirrored will be due to things that would otherwise obscure clarity (ie. if I had a character with a sword in their left hand and their face and chest were dilberately facing the screen, if you don't mirror such a stance you then obscure the clarity of attacks because now their back is facing the screen and has the potential to mask attacks like say a jab with the right hand. Despite 3D models being used only 1/2 of the model is actually active because of the 2D plane, this isn't an issue in fighters on a 3D plane because the entire atmostsphere and model is used) So it's not that they aren't making an effort, they're just ensuring a consistent experience given the medium. But I digress, MAJOR DARKNESS!!!

That's usually the primary purpose of asymmetrical designs, the most prominent of which is Street Fighter III's Gil, who not only switched colors but also his projectiles would change from flames or ice depending on the side he was on :D now that was a cool effect, too bad Hilda doesn't have such a thing... MAJOR DARKNESS!!! It's ALOT easier to simply switch colors rather than stances for 2D sprites, since changing everything for their appropriate sides requires completely redrawing each character for both sides. While this would be insanely cool to see, it would also be insanely costly and time consuming. Of course 3D models on a 2D plane have it much easier :X

  9. Hmm yeah that sounds about right, cause everyone's health bar seems to scale down differently
  10. Ugh, no more Chizu-Army D: Touka is cool but if you can't consistently get her Just Frames (which with the current netplay can be difficult) she doesn't play as effectively. Oboro is pretty cool because he has a more extended ground game than most others and if you can master his counters and know when to mixup with his command grab you can do some pretty dirty things.
  11. Doesn't the Veil Off burst need to connect (hit or block) in order to input the command? Also I know the move is called "In The Darkness" but it sounds like she says "Major Darkness" though all of her moves have very simplistic names v.v still I didn't think it looked bad, better than most IMO (though I find a majority of them pretty "ok")
  12. But it was the opening for the original game, so if they were going to remix an OP, I would've liked to seen Beat from Melty Blood instead

  16. I'm just relaying what they've relayed so far, but in the recent Famitsu article they stated "sometime November" and it looks like they've completed a bulk of their work EDIT: Even the main site is listing "late November"

Why is Eltnum's theme not Beat from Melty Blood or at least Rhythmic Bustle :x Hmm I still don't like her attack angles but seems like a fun character to watch (not to play against lol those orbs are deadly and she's got a "divekick" that gives a good chunk of meter on top of being a great approach tool and cancellable D: ) So I guess the meter is just for combo extension since EX and Supers seem to be a much more natural part of her game. And yeah she definitely has significantly less health than other characters. Wonder how long it took Fire Ruby to get this proficient, future stuff is gonna be crazy.

Hmm, future Hilda's will need to be ON POINT cause alot of her attacks leave her wide open, and a few don't have the hit box next to her hurt box, so if done up close you "whiff" and get punished for it. Her theme is cool (although unnecessarily epic for how lame a character I find her ) I'm still not sure why she's needs to have double the meter of anyone else, but hopefully once she goes public people will start learning her, although she looks like a much more difficult character than pretty much anyone else.
