  1. You just like to gripe don't you? 2. He meant clearly it wasn't enough to be OK'd by Microsoft. I admit I had forgotten about Deathsmiles 2, but glancing over this list I'm pretty sure you won't find many more cases like it. And bring up the rare few exceptions rather than the norm really doesn't help you case (it's like saying all PS3 games are region free ), for all we know DS2 might be the reason MS rejected AH3, but when it comes down to it this isn't a publisher's decision it's the console's owners (Sony/Microsoft). Many games don't make it outside of regions simply due to (for whatever reason) the owners simply saying "no". Ease of porting has nothing to do with, and likewise Arc had 0% influence on the choice MS made [see above] Regardless it all boils down to you taking a single case and basing too much off of it (just like people now sweating bullets over another region locked PS3 title). There's nothing you can do but wait for some actual plans to develop, otherwise we just come to endless chains of this.
  3. PQube does more than just game publishing And aside from the RE HD games, all other titles featured in Games on Demand have had prior retailed releases [which again, is probably a "don't want to fall behind Sony" thing like with Bionic Commando, Capcom's actions > Arc/Aksys' actions]
  4. Aksys didn't botch the NA release of AH3 lolol, 1st off Microsoft (NA) told them they couldn't bring AH3 in the way they planned, 2nd it was digital to save resources (something MANY companies do), 3rd no one planned for the outage. It simply came down to Aksys doing 1 thing "Do we please some of the fans or none of them?" a similar conundrum came up with Battle Fantasia and the original Agarest Wars, Sony allowed them to save money (of which they probably don't have a lot of--they are a small publishing only company that deals with mostly niche titles after all) by providing digital releases. In fact MS doesn't even permit digital games if it exceeds their self placed limit (the 1st time of which was raised only to ensure the first Bionic Commando REarmed would come to 360). Arc System Works have officially confirmed it themselves, "we're not sure about the 360 release at this point" which could mean a number of things. But seeing how NO international plans have been discussed (with the public) thus far, all we can do is wait. Also Dark Souls was never PS3 exclusive (Demon's Souls was), better examples to your claim would be the original release of Final Fantasy XIII and to a more different approach the North American release of Nier (with both being Gestalt instead of 360 = Gestalt, PS3 = Replicant)
  5. CP has new meter gain rules? Also considering how fast the Barrier Gauge drains currently (and how fast Faultless Defense drains tension in GG) yeah I think either a significant amount of meter needs to be given freely or they would have to have a good handle on how it drains meter. Like holding Barrier for 2 irl seconds spends 1 Heat or something Oh the shenanigans~ But you earned if for conserving meter wisely = w=
  6. But in order for it to cost Heat 1 of 2 things must happen: - Drastically alter meter gain to make it as abundant as Guilty Gear - Increase meter gain and retain current stock between rounds
  7. If that is the will of you new god, it doesn't have to be a benevolent spirit = w=
  8. lol Henaki's opinions on the Barrier system, it works well enough within the confines of BB, which is why it has remained consistent in each entry. Breaking through an opponent's guard is what the team hasn't quite figured out, Libra and Primers were terrible, so hopefully Crush Triggers will provide a more uniformed and manageable system. And I can't hate on BB for trying, instead of trying to force down a bad idea they keep trying to find ways to approach concepts from a different angle, and I applaud them for not taking the easy way out and simply making Guilty Gear with new paint. Of course that's not to say I think BB is perfect but hey, it's coming along well enough. On the Murakumo subject, yes wait until definitive confirmation of a lack of inclusion, but until then...PICK A NEW CHARACTER! >:3 When life gives you lemons, YOU GET A NEW GOD!
  9. Quit worrying about something that hasn't occurred yet, game isn't even out (in arcades) so why worry about things that are ways away. Also P4U is a collaboration between Arc System Works and Atlus (who owns the rights and distributes the title), all Arc did was make the (fighting) game (engine/sprites). Atlus has no say in anything Arc does and vice versa. Aksys games (the NA publisher for Arc) had nothing do with P4U either.
  10. Yes, because the Mishima are the only characters that can be considered "clones" in Tekken = w=
  11. direct feed TGS trailer:
  12. There was a quote somewhere on here that fit this situation perfectly, basically; just because BB uses some mythology jargon don't think it's all going to mirror. First off there is no "Kyuubi" it's not the name of any sole entity, it's just directly staying "9 tails", most Kitsune (fox) spirits are said to have 2~9 tails, this just shows off their other worldly trait and the number of tails often has no impact on their abilities. 9 is simply the most commonly told (there's no recorded reason why, and as most of these stories were oral back in their time, it could've just kept getting more and more exaggerated to a point). Though I will admit Jin shares the d-baggery of Susanoo (for his contempt with his sister--Amaterasu) the bro-con is totally left field (Tsukiyomi is actually a rather minor character in mythology, his only notable roll being how night and day were created due to a spat with Amaterasu) Oh and another interesting tidbit about Okami, it can mean either wolf or great god depending on the kanji used.
  13. "Instant Kills" have lost their appeal because they aren't instant, I say we go back to the days of the original GG and if you IK someone R1, you win the whole match, TRUE DEATH! Honestly these types of skills have become arbitrary in most games, they're essentially heavily conditioned "MAX/lvl 3 Skills" which are loosing their pay off.
  14. They're not really talking too much about consoles plans at the moment... But the end of the article does say that right before the event ended Mori said (roughly) "look forward to playing CP in November, OOPS~ I meant 'by the end of the year' haha" So he's probably having fun with an informal announcement. Glad I'm not the only one.
  15. 1/2 the cast of Tekken say "hi" Heihachi and Kasumi's late seiyuu say "hi" Gen Fu says "hi" Leon is a actually a pretty popular character especially in the 2 era when Bayman was the hidden one, also it's worth noting that Leon's name did appear in the list of leaks from the alpha demo (which was all but accurate, excluding him apparently). And I really want to know if he and Zack actually have any connection or not, though I guess since his only goal was to be "the strongest" to keep a vague promise to a dead one, the team decided to leave him be, not finding a way to fit him in to no doubt nonsensical story I expect from 5.
  16. Yeah but right now we're considering this an isolated incident, trying to back up the reason behind a focused release in Japan, since ZERO international plans have been discussed at this point publicly (although we can fathom beyond a shadow of a doubt they're there) it seems pointless to get worked up over what doesn't exist. Especially since, as mentioned many times before, companies have had these types of plans for releases in the past. Anyways: North American sales over the course of the first 10 weeks__________ Calamity Trigger - PS3 (112,056), 360 (75,700), PSP (12,187) Continuum Shift - PS3 (41,202), 360 (30,289), PSP (7,285), 3DS (9,929) Couldn't find sales numbers for CSE in NA on either system With regards to infrastructure it's a really gray area. Microsoft provides servers and plans for all titles, which in itself is often why games get 360 releases. With Sony the company has to setup and run their own servers and such. The primary thing that delayed the 360 release of Final Fantasy XI was that fact Square wanted to maintain global player base with this version and the PC/PS2 versions, so it took alot of backroom talks. If they're planning something with netplay that goes against Microsoft's policy then it must not only be pretty amazing but if MS doesn't bend then that locks no international 360 release. It's an interesting theory to be sure, but until we know more about what they're planning it's probably best left alone.
  17. The vid started out kinda cool but got progressively more bland (IMO) as it continued. Was REALLY disappointed with Yuzuriha's....and while Merkava's holds psychological impact, it's pretty meh too, and F Linne's cause it doesn't use her lil dragon :<
  18. Let's play a game! Japanese sales over the course of the first 10 weeks__________ Calamity Trigger - PS3 (55,469), 360 (35,976), PSP (22,515) Continuum Shift - PS3 (71,836), 360 (19,640), PSP (49,609), 3DS (12,716) Continuum Shift Extend - PS3 (58,549), 360 (?), PSP (9,791), Vita (15,958) *actually couldn't find Japanese 360 sales for Extend.
  19. True but I just don't feel each reaches the true heights of intrigue to warrant these themes... Honestly, I would much rather prefer them to work on more special battle intros, those are always more hype IMO, and I'm STILL waiting for ones that match the intros in XX (the story mode of XX...)
  20. The irony is the fact grapplers are pretty much top tier, and Hayabusa is pretty much considered one now lol So if you're a wrestling ninja I guess you trump all = w= Also I'm pretty disappointed in the costumes I've seen so far...too many reuses, recolors, and slight alterations... Not to mention most of them are just pretty awful IMO...Tecoei was pretty lazy :< this time around.
  21. I'm not saying that can't be, but there's also nothing wrong with showing off the attention to detail in your engine and work lol
  22. Hmm I don't think BB should have such a huge umbrella theme covering a good chunk of matchups, honestly the Special themes feel a bit clustered (especially assuming all the Extend tracks stick). Hell, we might as well have The Fugitive (Ragna vs the World)
  23. Yes, derp Thin Red Line is actually pretty low on my list (but I like the name) unless it's that funky mix by DJ Oh-No, lol
  24. NOOOOOOOO! D: Weak Executioner is my favorite special theme orz (just barely beating Imperial Code--which I was hoping would be the Assassins-esque theme of BB, seeing how many NOL members there were...and the fact it's listed as Theme of the NOL/Jin vs Noel) = w=
