Yeah Japanese developers are weird with how they label their games, much like how Sakurai will deny up and down that Smash Bros. is a fighting game, I think they avoid that because it causes a negative stigma since generally fighting games are viewed as "hard" or "difficult". But I'm just glad that it wasn't going to end up an action game like Asura's Wrath (my fear when they said "we're not developing a fighter")

  7. yeah you get money like NO TOMORROW in this game lol, after just playing Fight Lab and Arcade once I had like 6mil I was like @.@ (Lucky Boxes are awesome) Hmm I found both of them pretty "meh" but I'm playing on default difficulty (Medium) and I had trouble with Unknown because I was using my 5min Kunimitsu solo, and was trying to with with gimmicks! \o/

Hmm I don't think Sasara really has legitimate mixup, she's a slow, heavy hitter, so her patterns are simple but she deals alot of damage for her troubles, her only overhead is her BC but it's SLOW as crap (of course Chizuru gets a decent speed for her BC overhead...). You need to make the most out of her Guard Points to punish what the opponent does cause her Guard Points are so god like ; -; and on the flip side her Parry is ASS :< I was expecting Baiken tier shenanigans but it couldn't be further from that... Her best anti-air is probably the A ver of Rising Smash, while it lacks Guard Points it's pretty fast and has a great vertical hitbox (and you can tack on BCs at the end for extra damage in most cases) of course since the B and C versions have Guard Points all Rising Smashes lack any kind of invulnerability :< (but hey long as they aren't going for your knees you should be good = w=b) Sasara actually has some glaring weaknesses and has some bad matchups because of it, she probably has to work the hardest out of the entire cast (which is why I'm baffled they didn't try to buff her from 1.5A > 2.0, but then again that wasn't a "huge" update overall...)
  9. No..."Mixed Martial Arts" is STILL not a legitimate fighting style, there's no actual discipline behind it, and most fighters will say "Freestyle"/"Self Taught" rather than "MMA". Also Mila literally used nothing but Vale Tudo techniques, so it makes the redundant statement of saying "MMA" that much more so (but I guess since it's the most commonly associated style with the sport...) And FreeStepDodge.com and DoAWorld.com are probably the most prominent sources.
  10. HER FIGHTING STYLE ISN'T MMA, IT'S FUCKING VALE TUDO, "MMA" IS NOT A LEGITIMATE FIGHTING STYLE, IT'S A TOURNAMENT FORMAT, FUCK! Anyways yeah she looks pretty awesome, I like that she has a hold that goes into a take down grab, this also explains why Vanessa will not be in the game :< Also that new rooftop stage looks sick! Although for the first time it made me realize the DoA fighters should be fucking dead...she got DESTROYED by that fucking TRAIN!!!

Also I don't know any Arawn combos off hand (because I'm not a rapist) but uhh you can do 2A > 5B > 5C > BC > 214+X > 214+B and add an assist at the end to extend the combo with the right Partner. Also the bitch at Gamestop gave me cracked case and my disc was loose :\
  12. Yeah, pretty much any starter you want (with the exception of Cs and Heavy Smash) and your options open up wider with the right Partner, you've got a pretty sizable time to confirm things. Heck just CH j.C > 236236+AB gives you 6040, probably your laziest damage, and CH j.C > 5A > 5B > 623+B at 4580 is probably your simplest damage (in the corner you can tack on BC at the end for 5540), but keep in mind the Rising Smash connecting is space dependent.

Very interesting, definitely want to give her a try KoeiTecmo also said we'll get some new this week :o Lisa still looks kinda weak overall, and Hayabusa is just D: tier, general impressions are that Helena is pretty nerfed but with such radical changes I think people will just have to adjust to them first.
  16. Dr. B is the only character I believe will be a significant addition, and I doubt Slim Bob will be that different, but at least he looks cool.
  17. I don't mind the "clones" but Sebastian and Miharu are missed opportunities for new blood, I'll actually be the most pissed about Miharu lol and for sure they won't be 100% identical, just like all the other "clones"
  18. No...it really isn't... Slim Bob's default outfit is pretty dope and Miharu's 2P outfit is much better than her default...
  19. Ugh, really? Miharu is a design fail (and if she's still a Xiaoyu "clone" than she's utter fail :<) and LAME Sebastian really is a Lili "clone" :< Unknown is really unneeded. Where's Slim Bob ; w; No offense, but this DLC is kind of disappointing, I mean it's free and the base cast is amazing, but it's all basically nostalgia only but hey this is good too, I mean I've got Kunimitsu~<3 We're done with him, he's not even a Tekken character.

What...LOL, he never did ANY of those things, his philosophy on DLC has always been the same like when people asked about it with T6, Harada often mentions (on Twitter) that people mince his words, he never stated that the way other companies go about their DLC plans are "wrong" and he doesn't feel there is any "right" way, he merely doesn't want to charge for characters/stages because at their core they are essential to the experience. That's his personal believe and he never names anyone else's policies or operations and says they're doing it wrong. Everyone is practicing selective hearing and twisting what's being stated. The free swimsuits for everyone is sign of good will as Harada said he would charge for cosmetic DLC.

But I don't understand the feeling of being robbed, any game that is played online, if all users are not using the same data they can't be play due to there being missing information, that's why mandatory patches are issued, and you know what you get in those patches? The entire bulk of whatever DLC they release, meaning you "have" the DLC, but in order to utilize it you must purchase unlock codes. So it being on disc or not is really a moot point, and having it on disc is better because it prevents you from having to waste precious space on something arbitrary. I don't think Harada (and especially not Bamco---who are NOTORIOUS for paid DLC, especially in the Japanese market) were trying to "capitalize" on the "Capcom situation", that's propaganda created by the fighting game community and nothing more. I do believe Harada has a different philosophy and apparently Bamco is more lenient on how their heads tackle their own projects (in an interview he stated no one at Bamco tells him how he's going to handle DLC but they do inquire about his approach, and he explains it to them). Harada isn't a hero, nor is he trying to build himself up to be one, he's merely following his own ideal and the masses are making their own conclusions. Try all of them lol, I've been watching ones for characters I don't care for too much, and purposely watching them windowed and at SD :V

  23. The hit properties of P4U were mad annoying to me... If Bullet had a grounded projectile that hit low it would give her a better mixup game, if it hits high then meh, it wouldn't be anything too special (although I guess if you can make the opponent desperate enough to jump over it you can try for AUB setups?)
