  1. So in Arcade mode you will be treated to 9 fights with an Ending movie as your reward, if you combined all the Endings it would total 80 minutes! Some may even relate to each other (!) Fight Lab serves as the "primary story mode" however and of course features "Violet" building a new version of his fighting machine from T4, Combot DX, you complete mini-games and trials and increase Combot's skills, which you can customize which skills from other fighters it can use as well as it's appearance [very Robo-Ky II-esque].
  2. Master Grade, a reference to "Gunpla" model kits as in particular Hikaru seems to be a figure enthusiast [but I call him Moe Girl because of the figure he holds in his new portrait]
  3. Ver 1.02 releases today and it includes a "new" character, MG Hikaru, and the balance changes look amazing!
  4. I respect your optimism... That being said no Yuzuriha makes me sad as she's the only one I have any interest in, this game is going to be weird (not in the negative way...maybe) because the spacing game is so unlike any other, EVERYONE'S a threat from like full screen, it seems so crazy. Still not sure if I'm ready to get hyped or not.
  5. You might want to stalk around Melty Bread for detailed information on the game's scene.
  6. I don't think she was trying to imply ports, just making a comparison of how awful that screenshot looks (which I agree the quality is comparable of that of the portable BB games).
  7. Those were standalone titles, also we never got Fragment either (the only actual online one lol), there are a NUMBER of factors working AGAINST this title hitting the west: - It's apart of a Hybrid pack - If released together a publisher for the anime and the game will be needed to make sure the transition for both go well and "optimal" (let it be known that Namco Bandai doesn't have a strong video division any more, and Bandai Visual is more or less shut down, so it being completely in-house would require alot of resources on NBGI part, a risk they clearly aren't ready to make in the West) - If released individually the publisher would need to put forth the money to secure servers for the online play (again warranting more risk for a publisher) That being said it's not impossible (as nothing is) it's just unlikely.
  8. Like I said, I was expecting it to play like NUN games, so when I saw it was far more slow paced and has some silly mechanics I was disappointed. And "human" models is the most BS excuse I've ever heard, .hack games are often very fast paced (especially with the GU series). I would say I would reserve judgment till I play it, but I'm not going to import an expensive ass movie just to play this (don't like .hack THAT much) and the chances of it hitting the states in any way, shape, or form is unlikely. That being said I like the changes CyberConnect2 is making toward their "NUN Engine" and with any drastic change not everything is going to work out perfect the first time around, but I just don't think I could get into this as I could the NUN series.
  9. Seeing how there's never been a stream of a location test before and the fact that they go to great lengths to discourage film and photography at these events (and well arcades in general) I'm going to go with: No. That being said it's not out of the question for leaks to happen ' w'
  10. It looks exactly (with no surprise) like the Ultimate Ninja games...except worst, game is surprisingly slow and the models (and animations) bother me, those re-dash combos are silly as are those dodges...
  11. Aoi...the only person in this game aside from Akira that can reverse ANY type of move in this game... (。-`ω´-)
  12. - Bass confirmed as next character - Tag Mode has been played to a closed group - Tag Power Blows allow you to start the attack with your Point character and then tag in your Partner to finish it off - Gravity is much heavier in 5 than it was in 4, this works out in the game's favor especially for Tag Mode - Seems pretty much the same in other regards - Bass has a Guard Break attack that's +8 on block, about 22~24 Frames, doesn't track thanks to improved system and Side Step mechanic - Seems to be closer to DoA 3~3.1 incarnation at the moment - Lots of Sit Down/Trip Stun attacks (which means you can't Hold out of them) - Critical Burst is 7P, Hammer Strike - Sarah is considered top tier at the moment (some even say broken) - Retains her signature Flamingo stance cancels - Lots of her strings leave her in advantage, follow ups, and Critical Burst options - Lots of quick attacks - Great mixup options, lots of 2-in-1s - Possibly has the fastest Critical Burst, and one of her Mid Flamingo follow up leaves you in a stun nearly as strong as a Critical Bursts - Same VA - Scarier options and advantage than Jann Lee - Considered identical to her FS incarnation (much like Akira) As a Sarah player....I am pleased ( 。◕‿‿◕。)
  13. ( •_•) "That's so..." ( •_•)>⌐■-■ *click* (⌐■_■) "Yesterday's news" YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!
  14. Final Showdown is now on the PSN (do a search) BUT there's something Sega didn't tell us. Also available is Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown - COMPLETE Edition- which includes ALL the customization packs. Normal ver is $15, Complete is $30! Compare that to $5 (x19) for individual packs and $15 (x2) for the 2 big packs and this is a HUGE savings! Downloading now :3
  15. System changes: Power Blows - Now require you to be below 50% health to use the full attack, if you life is above 50% you'll just get the knock back, not the full animation which allows you access to the stage attacks. Critical Burst - New hit property that certain moves contain and allow for a special stun state (Critical Stun) that lasts so long it allows a Power Blow (fully charged) to connect, guaranteed. Also you can't use Holds while in Critical Stun. Critical Stun can also be obtained from a blocked Power Blow, but recovery seems bad so you probably can't do much even if you hit it. Side Steps - Quick dodges into the back or foregrounds. Scratch Damage - A certain portion of you health will flash pink and if you don't take any damage this life will return to you. Special Stage Effects - One stage has special areas with puddles of waters, and interestingly enough any hits taken while standing in it will count as a counter(!)
  16. Game launches September 25.... Tekken Tag 2 releases September.... All of my whys orz That dress is old tier :>
  17. Kokoro, Tina, and Sarah Bryant (VF) confirmed!
  18. Nintendo started bad and ended bad. WiiU's biggest problem is the fact that the lineup is made of games I already own or have a console that can already play them, and I don't see myself shelling out $300 for gimmicks. At least Sony and Microsoft had some moments (underwhelming over all, but choice games like Tomb Raider and Watch_Dogs made em worth it) but the Big 3 kinda failed me this year (Ubisoft had the best presentation this year, IMO). Well at least the show has actually started so we can learn about all the games at the show.
  19. Why? PS3/360 ver will be out in 3mo, is it really hyped to have to spend $300 on a new console (and then a classic controller or hell an arcade stick if ready) just for gimmicks?
  20. I admit...I lol'd Also AttTheGates why didn't you just make 1 big combo vid?
  21. HOLY RELEVANT UPDATES BATMAN! A new location test will be held on 6/9~10 Hopefully Yuzuriha will make an appearance and I can decided whether or not this game is hype worthy
  22. Well that's as far as their own developed projects. F/UC they licensed out the rights to Cavia/Eighting/Capcom. Rarely do companies develop everything relating to their project, they basically look at it (sometimes not even that) and sign the paper greenlighting it. A F/UC follow up can happen, it's just do they see it as being worth setting up such a deal again.
  23. What!? Nahh! She may have started out in the DCAU, but once she became an integral part of the comics she became more and more BA, especially once the Joker died. I'm assuming though that they're riding the tail of the "Arkham-verse" success and thus putting her (and Grundy) in, they both even appear similar to their incarnations in those games. I can only PRAY for an appearance by Batwoman (but this won't happen :<) and this is just the Young Justice lover in me saying but I wouldn't mind Cheshire in this either, can I pray for Katana as well? :<
  24. Capcom is the Japanese publisher too... All this means is that the game preformed BADLY, so bad it isn't even worth Capcom (USA) to renew the license to keep it up on the (NA) PS store. That aside, neither Capcom nor Eighting have any say as to what becomes of this game, it all depends on Type-Moon, and I'm pretty sure they saw this as a marketing ploy/tie-in and not as a long running series. But they have been squeezing the Fate franchise as of late, so you never know.
  25. Look I'm not saying there's ANYTHING wrong with the Budokai games, I've played damn near every one, and of course there's nothing wrong with holding tournaments for it, but let's get real, those games have been stale and awful since B3, unlike other fighters they didn't try to evolve, and without evolution something might as well be dead. All they did was give you more throwaway fighters which were all empty husk with the same beam based attacks. Also the "DBZ experience" means watching 2 people shout at each other and power up for 5 episodes before a single fist (or beam) is thrown... I don't see how Super DBZ was any less DBZ than other titles, it still had iconic characters with signature attacks and fancy blasts, it just tried to evolve the series of game by putting a bigger emphasis on the physical confrontation. Which is again why I said I would love to have a Dragon Ball fighter, back when the series was more than just power levels and aliens. Honestly other fighters have become more "DBZ" by your definition, as seen in large over the top super attacks (like Ultras in SF4) so it's perfectly possible to have the best of both worlds cause everyone ELSE is doing it. I'm all for fun, but there also has to be reason to keep coming back and after 12+ games of flinging beams, mashing clashes, and wading through cut/paste characters, I would gladly like to welcome another game like Super DBZ, but according to you I need to pray and hope they use the Dragon Ball universe to do it.
