  1. I'm not sure how many people you could get out on a Thursday night BigE. Edit: nevermind, I was looking at the month of January for whatever reason. I'll see what I can do. I doubt a lot of people would travel to Philly 2 weekends in a row though.
  2. Good players at the bi-weeklies were: BB: LordKnight, Zidane, MrBiscuits, SKD, XAQshinor, Omniscythe... there's probably more but I forget. GG: MarlinPie, SteveH, Zidane, XAQshinor, Mynus, Alzarath, Coma, A3Religion... too many to list. MB: NYC is the hub of American Melty, so there were a lot of good players, most notably were LordKnight, GenericSu, and AnFox. I play Lambda and Makoto. But I'm not good with either. I don't consider myself good at BB at all.

  3. I don't really netplay (because of lag), but if for some reason we have a 3+ connection I'll get in a few games with you. Add me and send me a message if I'm on, PSN: St1ckBuG. The bi-weeklies were not created or run by me, they just happend to have my name in them. Last I heard they were looking for a new place to hold them, since the old place closed down due to the owners moving to Florida. The competition was at a pretty good level since you had the best BB/GG/MB players there from the East Coast.

  4. It's funny because by not fixing it he's actually losing more money than if it were fixed and people were playing it. You can't even make up some lame excuse for not fixing it, other than losing money makes you money... but that makes no sense. But it's NYC so whatever. I'm going to be getting a WB room, but only for Friday night. I have to leave Saturday night once everything is over because I have to leave Sunday for training in Virginia. I'm not helping pay for or putting a second night on my credit card, so you're out of luck if you need a room for 2 nights... I'm done with lending my CC to help people out for a while because they don't pay me back for car rentals. If you're staying in my room, it's cash at the door or no-go. Ryan, how far are you willing to travel? We should try to get some people out to Mike's house next time he has something going on (if he plans on having people over anymore). How's the kid? How's being a father?
  5. You should talk to Henry and have him fix the GG cab. Have a 1$ single elim tourney or something (and give me a reason to visit CF again)? O wait, that's too much work and cost too much. Hey, does CF still have that HD coat rack? I would need something to keep my jacket warm while I play.
  6. Japanese biased tier list. Nice try though.
  7. Is that the girl from the 'six zewo nine ten staws' videos?
  8. So when is the GG cab going to get fixed so I have a reason to go to that arcade?
  9. Double Post: I'm maining the lobster.
  10. :D D:
  11. That man wrote the book on yomi.
  12. TBH it's a good idea... but he went about it the wrong way. I can't tell you how many times I've seen netplayers look like they're mashing their controllers with their face, but for some reason they know how to combo. People tend to ignore actual gameplay: why X player did Y answer in Z situation... but I guess that's easy to understand when all that's talked about on these forums is combo theory. Players just see a cool combo in gamechariot videos and ignore what comes before it. This is where online/practice mode/console do more damage than actual good, but I won't get into that here. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to post common sense but it just goes un-read/ignored. When some people try to help the community with ideas they just get blown up for it (like now) and the stupid cycle continues of bad play never being pointed out to bad players. I can't tell you I've never made fun of people or made troll posts before (because I have), but those weren't legit topics (how to block and match-up chart threads come to mind)... this COULD BE a legit topic/project, but it won't get anywhere if people just shoot it down. I know West Coast can record and edit video and I know that I can record and edit... so what's the next step?
  13. A lot of the 'fundamentals' you have listed differ from character to character: -Pressure/Mix-up > Hit-confirm > Combo Choice -Neutral -Blocking > character specific answers... Almost everyone that's curious about these things would be looking for information on a character by character basis. The Bang comment was also aimed at the fact that Bang is auto-pilot in terms of a lot of your 'fundamentals', so having you explain things from a Bang player's perspective wouldn't really help someone playing Tsubaki or Tager. You'd pretty much have to write/record a guide for each respective character in terms of 'fundamentals' and combos. I wouldn't trust you making a guide for Lambda... no offense. Also, I'm not trolling, but in the future when you write something up like this, copy and paste your post into word and grammar/spell-check. More people will take you seriously if you actually put some time into writing something up that's aimed at better helping the community. If you want people to read your post, it's your responsibility to make it readable.
  14. I might be down. We should see what LK and BBQ are up to. Nas is having something this weekend, but I'm not sure if I'll be up for it.
  15. BARRIER DEFENSE This thread is pretty gdlk. Raiza, making a list does absolutely nothing. If you wanted to put some effort into this you should write a complete guide on the fundamentals of an air-dash fighter, and then record videos explaining exactly how to apply these fundamentals and how they affect gameplay (I mean, how are people going to actually learn this stuff if we don't spoon feed it to them?). Personally, I wouldn't want you to do it, but rather someone that knows what they're doing and doesn't play Bang.
  16. Eric, I won't be able to run any tournaments Sunday since I have to leave for training Saturday night. I want to run BB/GG singles on Saturday if possible.
  17. If your next Bodyshop is after MvC3 release, you might want to consider having it if you're after #'s. GG community fucked up.
  18. Isn't there a switch on TE's that you need to have on a certain setting?
  19. #vp on irc.mizuumi.net if people have questions or are having problems with getting the game to run. Sometimes people are AFK, so don't expect to get an immediate answer. FYI: http://poverty.mizuumi.net/wiki/Vanguard_Princess has download links, guides, and character info. (You can also access the #vp irc channel by using the chat drop down menu at the top of the page).
  20. VP is gdlk. Stay sad Rob. And we care about the SF4 community why? Oh, that's right, we don't.
