They accidentally made him not top tier in CS so they're making up for it by making sure he just keeps getting buffed through all the loketests till he's beyond CT bullshit even. Either that or they're just trolling like CS loketests and he'll be nerfed even more right before the final version. Just for reference, when exactly does Jin ever not have meter? And weren't you the guy that was complaining that Jin didn't do enough damage off his DP?

- No more 2-3 seal minimum combo off everything (air-to-air j.B = 3 seals lol wat). - No more ending everything with Daifunka whenever you feel like it for an extra 2k damage. - No more seals on crouching opponents. - No more poking with 5B. - 2C basically useless outside of corner now. + MEATY 2D IS BACK + lol i can just dial in all my blockstrings and just end with 5B + Probably some other stuff but I don't really care that much since MEATY 2D IS BACK. -

Hell the CS2 patch won't be for another 6-8 months at best, so I'm sure new information will come down the pipeline eventually. What am I supposed to get out of that besides being reminded that Arakune and Jin were both incredibly bullshit in CT and that they are now slightly less bullshit? That's like posting a video of a Bang mirror in CS and being like LOOK HOW FAST THEY KILL EACH OTHER. -

I'm pretty sure the stages in CS are the same size as in CT. Also what damage nerfs? Rachel, Arakune, Nu, Jin, and Carl (i.e. the top tiers) were the only ones who got overall damage nerfs. What you mean is that the combos are longer but they also deal more damage. The exception is Hazama who takes forever to finish his combos and barely does any damage in the process. Litchi's 5k combos are the only significantly long ones, but that's hardly generalizable to the entire cast. Plus you only have to watch Litchi do 2-3 combos and the round is over. CS only has more time overs because you have zoning characters who don't deal as much damage (Hazama, Lambda, Rachel). Nu didn't get as many time-overs since she did, like, 4k-5k with every long-range poke. -

CT didn't move any faster. It just felt that way because the top tiers did huge damage ridiculously fast and conversely everyone else had short shitty combos that barely did any damage (see: Bang). -

I'm guessing it's like Freeman's K super where he just walks forward in counter stance and the superflash only activates if he gets hit. I'm guessing Hakumen just does the counter animation sans superflash/freeze and only TOKI WO TOMAREs if he actually lands the counter. -

2A 5B is back? Oh good times are here again. Now if only they would get rid of the silly tech on 2C. It doesn't need to be LOL I CAN JUST THROW THIS OUT AND HAVE TWENTY MINUTES TO HITCONFIRM ANYTHING I WANT AFTER IT tier but being able to at least do 2C 6D would be nice. Bang having a 3-seal combo on standing and 0 seals on crouching is just way out of proportion. Also I see no bounce on D nail. -

Well that makes sense I guess, if his forward FRKZ dash was short too he would be top tier even with all the other nerfs. Also I reiterate that Jin was getting buffs in CS1 loketests too that didn't stick, so whoever is raging/celebrating should probably take everything with a grain of salt. -

Well then I recommend you guys go back and look at the old stickied thread for BBCS changes, those are still from third loketest. Either way the point is that any nerfs/buffs/tweaks aren't even so much as indicative of which direction they're intending to take a character. They might just be taking out Tager's 5C 6A combo to see how vital an effect that has on his game, etc. You can get mad at Arcsys all you want, but in all honesty I find it hard to believe that a professional game developer would actually overlook the fact that Bang now has no combos off any of his overheads or lows when even your average Dustloop scrub can spot it in half a second. -

Hey guys remember when Jin was looking like he was getting nothing but buffs in CS1 loketests despite already being nearly top tier, and everyone else was somehow getting nerfs? I remember laughing so hard when I saw the Jin section of the final changelist. -
Looks like it might still be possible. At one point he almost links a 3C > d.2A but whiffs because he's too far away. The problem is that i can't tell if Zaneiga is whiffing because it's too low to hit the float or because it's too slow.

Here's my take: 6A->Jayoku works (I don't even know why this is listed, maybe didn't work in loketest 1?) Uh okay. Air throw can be followed up by Zaneiga (214D~C). I am trying to imagine what this looks like and failing. It probably means a faster Zaneiga or longer untech/faster recovery after airthrow. Either way that might open up some new combo options after airthrow. 214D~C now makes the opponent spin in the air(?) Sounds like it has an effect like Bang's 2D now? It's not completely useless and it still has some use in corner. - 5B 3C 214D~C doesn't connect anymore See below. - 3C knocks opponent upwards So it has a float effect now? It doesn't say anything about untech time being decreased or followups not working anymore so I guessing that 5B 3C d.5B/5C 2C > whatever will still work. - cannot cancel throws into chain Just do throw > Houtenjin or throw > Jakou. - jC: no longer jump cancelable? (might be first hit only) Just do j.B JC j.C(5) j.214B or j.C(1) JC j.C(5) j.214B. He won't build quite as much meter but his meter gain is ridiculous in CS1 anyway.

Has Hazama actually been confirmed to not have gotten any new replacement combos out of 3C floating or are people just overreacting because they are unimaginative and don't want to face the prospect of thinking up new combos? -

6B and 2C are both techable now, which means you can't combo anything off them, so 6B is automatically worthless again and 5C is also worthless by extension because it only gatlings into one of those two normals. I guess you could do 5C 623B 5A 5B > air combo for overhead in the corner, but otherwise I think 5C Daifunka is his only overhead combo now. So no real overhead and no combos on crouching means you'll just be able to sit in crouch block and mash 2A if he tries to come in for command throw, and be completely safe. Alternately, you can just pick Taokaka and spam 2A nonstop because he won't even be able to hit you now that 2A doesn't combo into anything and 5A doesn't hit low profile. Also Hazama's 3C floats now so I'm sure we'll be able to find a new BnB for him. I'm guessing something like 5B 3C d.5B/5C might work. I have no idea how much untech time the 3C has now but if its the same as before, d.5B should link since d.2B did. -

Bang damage is nothing to write home about. His combos are only annoying specifically because he can get all the seals he needs for FRKZ in a single combo. -
If you start with 5B, do three j.4C's. If you start with anything else, do two.

That sounds like a terribad way to play Bang. Now he looks like CT Bang with safer, better pokes and an actual tradeoff between seals and damage, not that lol I'll just do 623B after everything and get 2-3 seals with every combo shit he does now. Which is what he should have been. He's still got strong mixup and a good approach game, which is all he needs really. Also why nerf Ashura, it sucked enough as it was already.
