  1. It's because Raoh spends the entire fight in the air where it's harder for Toki to kill him and easier for Raoh to random land a jB into 60-70%.

  3. Okay so it's supposed to be the trijump looking IAD for the combo and the combo is easier/possible off a wallbounce? That explains a lot I guess. So if I were to hit like... iadB, 2B > 2B > far D XX 236D at the start of the match, at best I would probably only get to do something like sjA > B > A > B > D, land, 236C? I need to start working boost into my game now, this game is so weird.
  4. I can never get the IAD C to combo off 236D... my opponent always techs =( Maybe I'm just doing it way too slow.
  5. ABA also gets up hella slow (like just a bit faster than RK delayed getup or something dumb like that) so that's another thing to take into account.
  6. HOWEVER if she doesn't prime her GCs and/or you're really quick with your MCs you can generally block it shrug it really depends on how fast they counter I guess. As long as you're doing like single pokes into MC and not pushing for too much you should be okay.

If Baiken primes her GCs she can hit Johnny before the MC keeps him safe (especially at L1) I don't think it's heavily advantaged either way, I'd give the slight nod to Johnny because he outpokes Baiken and stops most of her approaches and can combo her for all sorts of fun, whereas Baiken has to work a bit harder to get inside and stuff. She does make Johnny have to play entirely differently in a way that doesn't work too well if Johnny wants to be aggressive, though... forces Johnny to be a lot more patient.
  8. I'm a realist when it comes to matchups, I'm not going to lie to you and be like "JOHNNY OWNS SO AND SO FOR FREE" when it's not true. I've had decent success against poon and CrazyDazed's respective Robot Kys by using Johnny's superior pokes on the ground but really both parties can randomly hit the other person into a death sequence. I haven't played the matchup enough in Slash to say too much more than what I remember from #R, other than the fact that Robo will have an even harder time dealing with a good ground game because of how sucky his pokes have gotten.

I'd say Johnny does well against: Sol HOS Robot Ky Anji Potemkin Robot-Ky mostly because Johnny controls the ground so well that it's hard for Robo Ky to get started without resorting to something really risky. But RK can rush Johnny down if he lands something dumb so it works out for him in the end.
  10. BIG RED is the biggest, reddest, most powerful character in GG.
  11. Faust can K or 6P all your jump-ins almost for free except after you knock him down. Not worth it because for every one time you successfully jump in on him, you will get hit and air-combo'd like 5-6 times.
  12. Buri's f.S is used as a poke, not as a way to bust out of pressure. Buri ground normals to watch out for: - f.S - 6S - 2P - 2D - 6P
  13. eh Faust can be really rough. Yeah he generally outpokes you, can rush you down pretty well, and you can't really jump in on him ever (NEVER IAD OUTSIDE OF COMBOS) because he has like a billion AAs. I haven't played enough Fausts to tell you anything really solid, I'd need more access to Slash than I currently have to mess with some poking ideas though. Things to experiment with (ie. not advice, just throwing ideas out): - One possibility is 2H against Faust's 2D, but most Fausts I've played that are good don't poke with 2D. - Also coins and possibly TK Ensengas (or falling Ensengas) as pokes. - Jackhound to punish random item throws (possibly to punish low level poke XX item?) Watch out for: - fullscreen scalpel pull - j2K FDC jH as a poke that stops jumps - 2H > whiff P- you can't punish this and will probably eat a CH poke if you try - if he throws a meteor, your best bet to avoid the following mixup is to superjump and FD. - j2K can be tricky to 6P
  14. Watch it whiff. Hit it with CH H into death combo. If all else fails, high up Divine Blade it. There ya go.
  15. Actually for me, the main matchup problems are- a) characters that outpoke Johnny b) getting rushed down/frame trapped Buri does both and has the damage output to match Johnny so... eh. If your opponent is Starshipping all the time, just look for it to whiff and nail him with like H into death or something... it's not THAT hard, practice it I guess. What you should be worrying about is that Buri's pokes beat yours and Buri can crouch your f.S =/

  17. Not dashing gives YOU more time to hit the K > H but generally you will need to dash because of distance.
  18. argh stupid random logout- Quick version of what I wanted to post: - if Trag wants to close/lock a thread, why can't he do it himself? - if Jamie Austin isn't the one behind that decision, then maybe the mods need to be more upfront about what's going on because not everybody can see your hidden chatter. - I at the very least don't care about blaming people or whatever, just waiting to see if there's going to be a place to talk other games or not. I'll even try to be civil and cooperate and stuff, provided there isn't a grounds to not act that way.
  19. Look I'm no hater, the whole "let's all hate Jamie Austin's guts" deal is one of the many reasons I don't frequent SRK any more. I trust the mods to do their jobs and do them well, but more than that I trust that they'll listen to feedback when people feel they aren't doing their job as well as they could be.
  20. Forgive me if I'm not an official Jamie Austin brownnoser like you, but there is plenty to be upset about in terms of her performance as mod/admin. Closing a GOOD thread because it's in the wrong section when there are plenty of bad threads in the proper sections in need of moderating? Banning people who post good info for whatever reasons and leaving random trolls like SolxBadguy around to make some threads completely worthless? I'm sure Jamie Austin has done some good things for the site but she's not perfect either. She's messed up plenty of times and if you automatically drop the case every time she gives some random explanation (or lack thereof) or just starts deleting and stopping valid discussion, then we're not the ones with the problem. The fact that the admin/mod side of the "discussion" of this was Trag posting like twice and then the Mod-ess of GG deleting a bunch of posts says something about the supermod in question. If Ms. "Goddess of GG" can't stand a little criticism and input from the community she's supposedly helping, then something is up. The fact that she can get away with it because Tragic is on her side just compounds things. Dustloop is primarily a site for the GG community, right? Then maybe people should care more about the community and its interests rather than their own perceived ideas of those interests. It is not JamieAustinFanClub.com, or at least I didn't think that was the intent, but I guess I've been wrong before.
  21. Played it for the first time a few days ago. Fun game. I beat my friends by mashing harder during tandem attacks.
  22. A mod should reopen the KoFXI and SFAA threads in the doujin games sections because there is NOWHERE ELSE to talk about those games on this site outside of Match Finder. Until another section is made, there really just isn't a place for them on Dust loop that is strategy related. Just change doujin to "other games" or something if you don't want to make an entirely new section. Not like we turn out in droves to play HnK anyhow.

  24. Urm why waste the bar when you can Mist Cancel into a setup/pressure instead? Jackhound is VERY possible after 2D, in any case.
