  1. Because of Robo-Ky being heavier, it's probably better to try 8-hit Grand Vipers with Clean Hit status, so it's not as wild throw or BR RC. But I still suck with SW loops after GV Clean Hit. j.S can still work, but yeah, he's on the heavy side, so it won't be so easy to do SW loops or 2D -> BR. And like Tsak said, use 5H to try to get a counter hit in. Heavier characters like Robo-Ky, A.B.A, and Johnny make harder it for some of Sol's setups and BnBs to work well.
  2. Hey man. I heard from Taoftw that I should ask you if you could give me a ride to the gathering at Derrick's on 2/6. http://dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8114 So, are you planning to go, and if you are, could I carpool with you? I'll pay for gas, of course.

  3. Ok. Makes sense. It is his birthday, it would be rude to do that.
  4. Hey Spirit, could you give a brother a ride to this event? I'll most likely be able to pay for the gas.
  5. Beautiful. Something NorCal needs. Please add me for some who needs a carpool.
  6. Yo. What's up? :D

  7. If anyone's still confused, the banner is: j.D, j.D,(land) j.D, j.D,(land), j.k, j.D, j.S, j.D, volcanic viper, and knockdown(the kick you do after volcanic viper hits, 214K).
  8. So, for SW loops, are there different ways you have to keep others in the air? Like for example, with Potemkin, you can use j.D. But for I-no, I usually use j.HS. In fact, earlier today when I was in training mode j.HS seemed easier to use than j.D, j.K or j.S. So is j.HS a better option if I'm more used to being able to do CLSWs with that? And does what Sol having in terms of zoning and okizeme? What are some good BnBs for me to learn?
  9. Seriously? Didn't know. Sorry about that.
  10. Here's one I discovered just now messing around in training mode. I tried it on Chipp but it should be the same for everyone else. 2D -> BR (RC) -> CLSW-> 2HS -> J.HS -> CLSW -> BR The trick is timing the SW when you Roman cancel the Bandit Revolver at the beginning. If you get a clean hit, but it's invalid, it was probably too late. Wait around 1 or 2 seconds to throw out the first sidewinder. Then, 2HS as they fall, then j.HS (still has to be valid), then another sidewinder, then as the other person most likely will wall bounce behind you, knock them down with another Bandit Revolver.
  11. Another new random friend. :D Hello.

  12. Hey there. Got a friend request from you. confused, but I accepted it anyway. I'm not known much, so I don't know how you decided to friend me.

  13. Holt shit. This just proves no matter what, Jin and his drive will ALWAYS be broken, even if he becomes bottom tier probably. jk Anyway, the mindset I say would be the best is one that is always focused on what's going on in the game, and calm as possible. Also, if your character just so happens to have some special loop or something, it's fair to use it, even if it is the result of a glitch, which the developers will eventually fix, if they do.
  14. But I suck in SF2 also. Usually lose a lot more than I win when I play Super Turbo on GGPO. I guess I'll just get a japanese PS2 then. Been thinking about it anyway.
  15. Actually, I was planning to get Fate unlimited codes for PSP soon. Yeah, it is that they aren't really accurate. How can I fix that? And what about stratefy and practice? An example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGfb1L-yVoc I lost the first round because it was the first time to use my stick for #Reload. I wasn't really thinking.
  16. Don't know where to put this, but I need some help. Lately, I feel like I am at my limit at how good I can be at fighting games, but I definitely can get better. It's just that I have problems with executing complex combos. My hands like to go too fast and that results in me dropping lots of combos or doing the wrong thing, or even throwing out a random attack that lets the other person get a counter-hit plus huge ass combo so I can get owned for free, which is ALL the time. I'm not good at making my hands do what I'm thinking/visualizing in my mind. This happens especially when I'm losing and desprately trying to make a comeback. What can I do to get better? And I feel like deciding to just only worry about matchups instead of learning combos, you know, just do whatever, not go into a flowchart of combos for each match all the time. I'd rather just know what to do against each character, while knowing my character's strengths and weaknesses. Is that fine? Thanks to those that try to answer. And if this is in the wrong place, go ahead and move it.
  17. I don't know. Just found it on Danbooru and thought it was funny because Reimu was doing a dustloop, ze. Edit: okay, apparently there is something called Gensokyo Gear. Looking for it right now.
  18. No one in Sacramento really plays GG. Everyone's all about SFIV and Tekken 6 now. Those games are good in their own way, but right now I've been mostly in the mood to play GG and BB against people, especially offline. The only other person I know in the area is Spirit Juice and I haven't met him yet. And don't know how GG can be hard at all when you first play it. I was having a ball when I first played Accent Core last year, then started playing Reload on PC for Netplay.
  19. Ok, I'm still confused. So, I just need to get a tv with inputs and outputs and hope I'm doing it right?
  20. Hey Hayato, I saw your Super Guilty Gear Bros. video, and I just wanted to know what you used to get the sounds from Accent Core? Did you use a program to rip them from the disc?

  21. Just change the FPS in the game's configuration to 30 instead of 60. Have Fraps record at 30 also. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGfb1L-yVoc Works even when I am playing. Thanks Rinse-n-Repeat. So, I need a TV with two inputs, or does output look different?
  22. I'm thinking about getting Dazzle Video when I get my TV for my room next semester, so I can finally start making vids. How does the process work in the first place?
  23. -Rush down Arakune as soon as possible, or you will get cursed. -Get ready to just block/barrier block and wait for a proper time to get a counter hit, so you can pull off some combos. -Don't let him get away, but be careful when he throws out a cloud. When you get cursed, be careful and try to get a hit in to cancel the curse. -Use Blood Kain to compensate for life lost and to get some big damage. -Inferno Divider, Gauntlet Hades, or 6A his ass if he's feeling too safe in the air, but be careful for his dive, that's one of his most useful attacks. The key is to not let the other player be comfortable, let them know you're not gonna sit there and give them a free win. But when you're cursed and they know Arakune's stuff, it might as well could be.
  24. So, what would be some good mixup/pressure tactics for Sol? To me, it seems he doesn't have much options in that category. And would he be considered 'high risk'? It always looks like to me you have to be ready to not screw up instead of eating a combo just to get some good damage in. Just saying.
