  1. These are all some nice match vids. This is really help me, even though I can't play AC anymore(my PS2 is broken ) I've been playing #Reload on my PC, and have only been able to play online with people at least ONCE so far. I'm planning to get a job though, so either that or I can convince my mom (Yes, my MOM, I am 17...without a job, yet anyway...) that $80 for a used one at GameStop is not a lot. But I also would like to record the replays of the online matches I have so far. How do you recode using VirtualDub? I heard it's good with recording. Thanks again, this is quite useful, now I know how I can refine my style as Sol. Plus it's cool to see you guys in action.
  2. Now I think I now know why isa switched from Sol to Eddie... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQnwsSi645U Freaking insane!
  3. I need help. The patcher won't work. I followed the instructions, but it doesn't start. It gives me a error message instead. Actually, never mind. It works now! Arvoyea | Arvoyea | California, USA | Delay: 4
  4. Ah, this one is a crazy match. To me, the best thing to is to be defensive, especially when he is trying to get Raoh, which is throughout the ENTIRE match! When he does the attack where he throws ghosts at you, block that. Once you get hit, random projectiles are thrown in from both sides. If Raoh doesn't kill you, then this will. Refrain from doing a lot of blockstrings, and don't end them in Bandit Revolver/Bringer or Gun Flame. This will give Zappa time to react and get closer to summoning Raoh. When he has Raoh, be sure to Faultless Defense, especially with Raoh's ODs. They give you loads of block damage. And they have range that goes far. Best thing for offense is to not use GF when it's possible for him to jump, and take him down with VV and normals when possible. When hit by a ghost, you want to hit him as soon as possible, or you'll suffer horribly. Best thing is to stay in the ground, as Zappa can get you when in the air, but you can VV to stop that. And watch out when he tries to put you in a dust attack, and be careful when psych bursting in defense. It's good to keep track of your tension throughout this, making Tyrant Rave better to use than Dragon Install, as when you are knocked down, you lose the effect, and either way you lose all your tension. Tension is best used for Tyrant Rave, FD and FRC in this match. That's all I can say for this one.
  5. Wow, I can imagine that right now. Is this the real life, or is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, No escape from reality. Open your eyes, Look up to the skies and seeeeee.... I'm just a poor boy I need no sympathy. Because I'm easy come, easy go, Little high, little low. Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, To meeeeeeee That would be actually awesome... But anyway, I just always thought Frederick (Sol) is Dizzy's dad mainly because he and Justice were together when they were humans before That Man took over the lab for the gears and turned Frederick into one. Well, I assumed they were together, his ending in GG1 shows that to be a possibility.
  6. Yeah, I know. Just sharing what found, but still stupid...I really need to catch up with everyone else. Well, anyway, I decided to have Sol as my main. I decided for now need to work on FRCing Gun Flame, knowing when not to use Grand Viper, and when not to Bandit Revolver/Bringer so I won't get punished, and generally just how to not be so obvious. Another in general would be to work on defense. What would be the best way to do that.
  7. Well, I noticed that when the other person's on wakeup and you do GF, when they block it, they'll have to normally block, if they have no tension for FD, then they could use FD, and move on like nothing happened. Thanks, this is really helpful. But I would like to be able to recover from GF without getting punished, especially by Potemkin. I know there is IAD (Instant air dash), but I still would like to be able to correctly FRC GF. I've been practicing, but I can only do it once in a while. The most likely problem is that I'm timing it wrong. Other than that, I'll have to stop relying on GF so much when my opponent is on wakeup. Until I learn how to FRC it correctly, or learn IAD. Due to FRCs relying on tension, I'll just try to IAD back or jump and FD to save myself from large amounts of punishment, if possible. (Edit: Again, Sorry Spirit Juice, Titanium Beast and everyone else who frequents Sol's sub-forum about the really retarded thread I posted yesterday, I'm actually glad it was deleted. )
  8. Thanks, Blade. I always hate how I decide to back off and immediately my tension says 'Danger'. And using Respect to cancel into attacks and buffer jump inputs sound useful as well. But I won't use it constantly, just to safe. In case the other player sees I'm obviously using Respect to fake him out.
  9. You know what's funny? The first person I started playing as when I got Accent Core was Sol, and I am black.
  10. ......wait, what?
  11. So, essentially we can say the story of GG goes like this: Guilty Gear: The Missing Link Guilty Gear X: By Your Side Guilty Gear XX: The Midnight Carnival (Including Judgement, Isuka(?)) Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus (conclusion of XX: Midnight Carnival series) Guilty Gear 2 Overture (A LOT of the cast from X and XX are forgotten or no longer have a part in the story, it is the DIRECT sequel to The Missing Link, but X and XX are side stories between 1 and 2.
  12. Nice one. I still can't belive Bridget's a guy. Sometimes I almost get decieved into thinking he's a girl, but I know he's a guy. For example.... I rest my case.
  13. I laughed for some reason when I read this. Maybe because Eddie became top tier in AC's tier list? But then again, Zat- I mean Eddie can do massive damage in AC, along with Slayer and Potemkin. I think it's weird that Slash is considered more balanced, whereas AC is more fun and not boring.
  14. Doesn't it say that in the manual when it's telling you the default setting of key controls?
  15. Wow, that's true. Sorry, Sol's 6HS isn't safe. And there really is a danger of a counter hit with almost all of his attacks.
  16. Is it, really?
  17. ....Wait, what?
  18. NO, I don't mash! It just...whatever. Let's just leave the way it is. It just happened, okay. End of story.
  19. ......No. It just happens. I'm not some wizard that can hack into how games work.
  20. Well, I didn't taunt when it said that. Maybe it's refering to how I won instead of the nonexisting taunting.
  21. But I didn't taunt after these instances. And when I do taunt after a round, I notice no difference in the opponent's tension. ?
  22. Okay, lately when I play V.S. CPU mode (on hard or very hard difficulty), I somehow do things that the display (that says counter hit, negative penalty, etc.) say something called 'Rakusyo'. Here's what I did: When fighting Anji as Sol, I used his old Tyrant Rave to end a round. The display then said rakusyo. This has happened 3 or 4 times before. What does it mean?
  23. Yeah, I can finally do it. You just 6HS when they throw. It's just hard to time it. It's right when the throw is initiated, I guess. I used Zat-I mean Eddie as the thrower, and I used Sol to practice. It was hard, seeing as Eddie's throw is really fast, compared to others.
  24. So I guess these characters would be in this category: Sol Ky Millia Baiken (?) Jam (?) Holy Order Sol May(? If you don't hold HS?) Slayer Faust (?) I should confirm more of this.
  25. Yeah. I think I have only done it...at least two times now?
