  1. Thank you for your continued patronage. This is the last event until post NEC. 11/17 is Atlus Fighting Championships and 12/1 is NEC, so, well, you get the idea. 2. Thanks to everyone for coming out and participating in this year's EVO! Whether you entered the tournament, commentated, watched the stream, donated, or gave me a helping hand, I thank you for your contribution to our event. We don't need main game status if we have all of you guys coming out to support these events. I apologize if I was short with anyone, I was obviously getting mad stressed out trying to keep the trains running on time and resurrecting the stream over and over again. Extra special shoutouts to anyone who gave me a hand during the event. You guys know who you are. I would have boughten you food but the only food event I went to was the Wynn buffet, and my esports donations level isn't at that level yet, hahaha. Hope to see you guys next year or at other tournaments!
  3. We're planning to head to the Wynn buffet around 1PM. The plan is to meet in front of the EVO hall before we head out.
  4. BlazBlue Top 8 is going to start at 10AM sharp. Please let me know if you have some kind of conflict so we can work something out. Teams will start at 12PM sharp as well. Sign up ASAP with Kevin, the guy in the cowboy hat. We're likely going to cap around... 16 or so teams, so make sure to get in there. If we go over 16, we'll allow it, however, only for players who have actually registered on time.
  5. Cool, I'll try to make 5-8PM available for you guys. I'll also drop by sometime and see how you guys are doing. BB Finals will be around 8PM-10PM, so hopefully you guys can get it finished on time.
  6. I'll try to get around to it when I can. Thing is, everyone signed up with their real names instead of their handles, so it'll take me some time to convert them, hahaha. Chou and Kubo are mostly confirmed to enter, granted that they don't get shafted somehow.
  7. Another completely non-essential measure: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/content.php?388-Contribute-to-EVO-2012-Stream-Fund If you want to donate, cool, you're a cool guy. If not, it's okay, we understand, don't worry about it. There are only 4 days left for completely un-mandatory pre-registration: http://bbevo2k12.eventbrite.com
  8. It's worth mentioning that I will be bringing stream/recording stuff. If you guys already have someone taking care of it for you, cool, carry on! If not, and you would like to be featured on my humble pile of shit stream, give me a time slot estimate for when you think finals or important matches will take place, and I'll do my best to help accommodate you guys.
  9. Once again, it is official that we've changed the dates for singles and teams. If you need a refund because you pre-registered, please let me know. Also, if you are entered in official tournaments, please send me a PM with your name and tournament times and I'll be able to put you (and your team hopefully) into a spot that does not conflict with your other games. Of course, if you are pre-registered it will be easy for me to help place you into a non-conflicting pool, but otherwise, YOU MUST MAKE IT TO ROLL CALL TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT IN A CONFLICTING POOL. I cannot stress this enough, please make it to roll call. The event times are scheduled for 128 people, so in the event we have a lot less, we can get away with having a little bit of leeway, but in the event we have at or around the maximum, we'll be very strict on the DQ timer.
  10. I'm really sorry to do this to everyone, but we may have to flip the order on which singles and teams are run to better match with the official EVO games. Marvel runs the entire day and the quarter and semi finals occupy the entirety of 6-10pm, which causes a majority of the overlap for us. In the event you have pre-registered and can no longer enter, please let me know and I will (attempt to) issue you a refund. The idea would then be to change teams to Saturday and have it start at 12PM, which gives an extremely generous amount of time to finish BB teams long before the mandatory marvel matches start. Even with 32 teams, we could get done in about 6 hours, which should be right on target. If you have any other solutions, please let me know. Otherwise, we'll have to just fly with this. Also, Chou plays Litchi.
  11. Me and TheBiter are gonna be there tomorrow around 2pm. I'm gonna be testing my new laptop on the side, so if you wanna get into our 100 match gauntlet, come on down lol.
  12. For Sunday I was planning like a faux banquet somewhere, I haven't actually finalized the details yet. The tournament is indeed PS3, and if you don't have the EVO Monitor, don't worry about bringing it. I don't want to be anal or anything but I'd rather just keep it uniform so that when people DO feel like complaining about X setup, we can just tell them to shut the fuck up because they're all the same. At any rate, you can play with a wireless PS3 pad so long as you turn that shit off after you're done with your match and you have some way to sync it to the next PS3 pad. I would greatly prefer wired pads because this shit is potential for major headaches, but I'm willing to cut a little bit of slack for the purposes of the tournament. You can use any in game macro, but none that is directly related to a controller. For example, no autofire or automatic controller shit.
  13. If you sign up online and show up in time for roll call, there's no problem no matter what happens. If you can't make roll call, you can even call or text me to let me know what's up, and they'll be no problem either. Also, if you're interested in money matching Chou, I've read somewhere that he's interested, so raise up your voices and challenge him.
  14. Good to you have you repping Montreal. In other news, we do need a couple helping hands to help babysit the bracket/stream/etc. We also need to guarantee some full setups (monitor + console + game) as well. To be honest, this schedule is based on 10/minutes per match, 32 people per pool, with 6 setups total. That said, I absolutely don't want another GG 2k10 to happen again, so I will probably change up the schedule based on how many setups we can guarantee.
  15. Anyone want to practice for EVO in the coming weeks? Gotta aim for that SoCal top8!
  16. Extra special thanks to everyone for seeing this event off! We'll be back post Evo, but what format or what games, who knows. If we do P4/BB/GGACR (+MB?) all at the same time, we'll probably have to adjust accordingly so we get done on time.
  17. Been too busy to update the stats lately, I'll probably get around to it sometime this week, though I'll also be epicly busy with E3 as well, lol. I've been uploading top8 to Nico, youtube coming soon as well perhaps? I'm kinda behind on that one. 2.2 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm17844459 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm17844531 2.3 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm17968779 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm17959194
  18. Alright, first option it is, I'll have it posted today. Edit: here it is: http://bbevo2k12.eventbrite.com/
  19. I'm making an Eventbrite for pre-registration. Do people prefer: Pay $11.54 to enter tournament, $10 pot + 1.54 eventbrite registration fee OR Pay $10 to enter the tournament, $8.46 to pot + 1.54 eventbrite registration fee OR I try to pass it off as non-profit and potentially get the account frozen. Could use some actual legal advice here for that one. (too bad Ultradavid isn't here right?)
  20. I'm probably gonna be down there one of these weekends (in June). Do you guys meet up or anything?
  21. Thanks to everyone who showed up. Turnout was pretty slow this week, but hopefully we have more coming out for 6/9, which is the last event I'm doing until after EVO. We didn't do teams as we didn't really have enough teams, so we're going to try to do it again next time.
  22. 6PM, it'll just run concurrently to Skullgirls and BB Teams, I think since they are all different participation sizes, we could probably still allocate stream time to all three event's finals.
  23. It's this weekend. Also ehrik, I think I'd rather you start MB around when BB Teams is starting, just so we can oppressively run Singles until it is totally over and then begin all of the side events at once.
