  1. It's big, 24" viewable. If the back room isn't available then screw it.
  2. ZA vs JO is still the worst matchup in the game, no question about it. The reason for it simply is that all of Zappa's summons, not just the dog, are incredibly difficult for Johnny to deal with. Unfortunately, it's just the way things have to be, as small changes to either character won't really do anything to change that. Thankfully, the only other matchups worse than 6-4 for JO are TE, MI and VE, all of which are still way more manageable than the ZA matchup.
  3. I'll find my way to a gathering/tournament at some point, I'm sure. Just a matter of finding out where and when.
  4. I figured as much, seeing as everyone ITT has a fuckin ANIME AVATAR
  5. So I'm gonna live in Pensacola later this year. Any GG players around there?
  6. E-sports is like WWE, except instead of hot chicks in your corner you just have some fat white kid yelling "ESPORTS"
  7. I'd much rather deal with Eddie's strike/throw mixup disguised as an unblockable than a projectile that's selectively active and can be used to attack the opponent during blockstun. Johnny doesn't need buffs, Auto-JI on ground Killer Joker and that's about it. His worst matchups aren't easily fixed, but he doesn't have that many worse than 6-4 anyways.

  9. Yeah, keep the NCI at NCI. The entire point of this is to keep the smaller scenes around since there's too many new games right now that are stealing the spotlight. Maybe we could have a really bad name like SLASH /\ BACK with a really bad UFC/Tapout style logo with lightning bolts and stuff. Or not. I think this whole naming events after moves and mechanics thing has gotten pretty out of hand, myself.

  11. While this has normally been an issue at Gamecenter during NCI, I have to say it wasn't so bad at SNCI. Would this only seek to replace GG and GvG presence at the standard NCI monthlies or SNCI as well? Not that I'm against it either way, just wondering.
  12. Like I said, it was a statement I looked a bit too much into. I already knew how much you do on the venue side of things (as I originally said, I wasn't trying to call you out or anything), it just seemed weird at the time that Chun would mention what he and Coopa were doing for promotion and not you. Miscommunication happens. It wasn't meant to be personal and it doesn't seem like you took it that way. In retrospect, I should have contacted him privately from the start. My experience with the cabs has been minimal, but I'm usually able to tell pretty quickly if a monitor lags by more than 2 frames. I don't remember having any issues playing KOF13 back when I played on New Year's.
  13. Just to clarify, my previous post regarding your involvement with the promotion of NCI was answered by Chun via email and as it turns out, I just looked too much into that. No harm intended on my part, it just seemed odd at the time, given the little information I had about how NCI is promoted. Keep doing what you're doing.
  14. how to win at sonic shuffle: press start before everyone else and disable their controllers
  15. I'll post more in the foreseeable future. Until then, refer to this playlist.
  16. Twitter is for people that have lives. I heard someone calling for "Zerp" while I was playing VF, but I was too busy hanging out with Laban once I was done with that. Maybe later this year I'll go to another major.
  17. Just to throw this out there, if I had to schedule the next SNCI, assuming it retains its two day format, it'd be something like this: Saturday: BB up to Top 8 starting at noon on the dot P4U start to finish immediately after (assuming it gets AH3-levels of entrants, which I'm guessing it would) SG either ran simultaneously or starting an hour into P4U, start to finish (again, assuming a comparably low turnout vs BB) Sunday: Gundam at noon, start to finish BB Top 8 at whatever designated time it'd be at Whether GG and MB would be side tournaments or not, they should both probably be ran on Sunday, as well. My rationale behind this is simple: get the games that take longest to run out of the way first. Gundam is the exception to that because those setups would be used to expedite the BB/P4U/SG tournaments. The issue with the setups at GC lagging is a whole other matter altogether, though. I haven't played on the cabinets enough to notice, but I'd be willing to help in whatever way I can to determine how much those displays are lagging.
