  1. Ah, okay. I was just informed it had invulnerability again and got optimistic. Still, it seems like a pretty good AA now. Plus it's not like you don't have 5A for AA. Hahah just read the post above mine. I guess wishful thinking pays off sometimes!
  2. Why? Unless he has better internet now, I don't really see the point.
  3. Doesn't his 6A have head attribute invulnerability again? CT 6A invul + CS 6A momentum = SSS+ tier
  4. Just ask, jeez. Although our connection is pretty bad...
  5. I guess I can bring my laptop to use as a MB setup. Is there any standard as to input programs? USB polling rates?
  6. If Youtube hasn't hated you, you haven't lived.
  7. To quote Benimaru: "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful" My plans fell through so maybe I'll play Gundam tonight.
  8. Tekken, not Third Strike. They both begin with T and have parries, though.
  9. 4Gamer Hit Box Review (Google translated) I think it's funny that they can backdash cancel just as well as you could on stick, but Jet Upper is still fucking impossible.
  10. master grade? high grade? i can put my hg tallgeese iii up as a prize, as well.
  11. Like I said, j.S is still good in this matchup. The problem is that you're not left with many other options once you jump, especially at the range you should be using f.S at. Potemkin can still hit you with a number of anti-airs (Slidehead probably being the best; it'll get you even at full screen) and if he decides he just doesn't care if he takes damage he can Hammerfall in. At that point, you're playing his game again which is not where you want to be. If you watch this set, you'll see that while Satou does spend the first few rounds neutral jumping and reacting to Pot with either f.S or double jump (to avoid AA 2S), he does eventually get comfortable enough to play the ground game. Once he does, he starts scoring damage that he wouldn't be able to otherwise. Also note that when Johnny starts to walk forward walk backward xN, Pot is actually afraid to do anything. That's because he knows that he has to respect Johnny at that range, otherwise he gets f.S'd to death or anti-aired. The point here is that you're neutral jumping with him in the corner. At that spacing, it's likely that he won't be able to get in range for his 6P to beat your j.HS. And even if he does, you can always just Divine Blade or FD. And no, Johnny's 6P doesn't beat f.S, it trades. It is a good trade for Johnny if he has meter though, since he can confirm into Jackhound.
  12. Input lag is caused primarily by post-processing (changing the image before it gets to the screen), though other things can cause it as well. CRT's are lagless, and that's that. Doesn't matter what kind of resolution you're giving it, whether the signal's progressive or interlaced, etc. Even if you send a digital signal to a CRT like DVI/HDMI, the display itself is analog and won't try to touch up the image before it projects it onto the glass screen. I've found DLP's to be lagless/low lag, as well. It's been awhile since I've conducted a timecode test but I recall my DLP actually being ahead of my laptop's LCD. I should try that again sometime, seeing as the Flash timecode test from a few years ago has proven to be less than entirely accurate. Input lag is most prevalent in LCD's, which also just happen to be the most common type of display these days. The good news is that sometime around the middle of 2010, LCD monitors started to get a lot better about input lag to the point where even some of the shitty ones will lag by 2-3 frames at most. Still, if you're in the market for an LCD that lags by ~1 frame, this is the best you're gonna get at the moment. Timecode test vs the Samsung 2233RZ here. If I'm not mistaken, they use the same panel. As for LCD TV's, you're really just gonna have to test them out on your own. The reason monitors don't lag as badly is because they're made for computers, which will do all the upscaling at the GPU (which is how the PS3 and 360 do it, as well).
  13. Anyone giving rides to GC? I'll give you gas money.
  14. I just realized that Accent Core turned five last Tuesday.
  15. As long as Johnny has meter, he can easily do coin damage without coins (MSDJ, JI Killer Joker). Having a Level 2 Mistfiner does help with confirming MSDJ, though.
  16. Keep in mind this was during the Pad Era. I couldn't do fireballs consistently, lol; and that was just the tip of the iceberg back then. If you watch the second match, you can witness the humble beginnings of the 2HS Era.
  17. You know what I'm gonna ask for... My thoughts on the matchup can be found in the second half of this post.
  18. Yeah but he has better HD combos + a better neutral game. He's easily the best character in the game atm.
  19. Haven't you ever played 98 dude? It's just high/low all day. Hop B and crouch B. Sometimes hop CD just to keep them honest.
  20. No shit? This game isn't dead, after all.
  21. lol, Dailymotion cuts the crap and just straight up rejects your upload if they recognize the song in a combo video. Any non-Nico video sites that are lax on copyright? Fat chance, I know...
  22. Just in case there's any new players (lol) lurking these parts, I've created a Youtube playlist of Johnny combo videos and matches. I'm trying to keep the videos relatively recent (post-07) so you don't have to go through a whole bunch of outdated videos yourself. It's unfortunate that so many combo videos have been taken off of Youtube (including nearly all of SANKA's combo videos, which are easily the best for AC Johnny), but I do have pretty much every one of them saved on an external hard drive. One of these days I'll post them up on Dailymotion so people can watch them again without having to have a Nico account.
