  1. terry isn't quite bottom, though he is hard to use. weak burn knuckle and crack shoot being unsafe makes it really hard for him to maintain pressure. the good thing is that when he does land a hit, he makes it count. ryo is actually pretty interesting. he has some unique tools (his dp doesn't move him too far forward, so he can actually use it to stuff hops/crossups) and a decent neutral game, he just doesn't do damage. if you wanna stick with those two, i suggest you put a reliable anchor on your team as well. someone like andy, k', shen, takuma or raiden.
  2. i have two 360 converters, lol
  3. terry can do damage just fine. the problem is that he can't do anything else.
  4. if we're gonna suggest customs, i'll vouch for the voltech VASHG. it's based on the virtua stick high grade, the ever elusive stick that sega made back in 07 for the release of vf5. nice, sturdy case like the actual high grade, except this one is made of steel instead of plastic. it's a little bit shorter horizontally than the hrap/te and about 2/3rds the vertical depth, but it's super sturdy and heavy. i think you really only appreciate how amazing the stick is once you use it on a halfcab or even on a table/desk, because for lap top use i find it to be a little odd (since it's not as wide as the hrap/te).
  5. type x2 i/o board has i think 2 frames of lag, and the display lags by another 1-2 frames or so. also, get used to that kof command interpreter. there's a lot of (necessary) shortcuts.
  6. i don't like the way the te's panel feels. probably has more to do with the plastic cover than the panel itself though. oh, and i guess it feels kinda hollow too, but whatever. point is, either way you have a pretty good stick. you should also check out the og style hrap 3, since those are probably going to be discontinued real soon.
  7. oh, neat. i won't be able to go for another week or so, but after that i intend to go there regularly.
  8. true, but that doesn't mean it's the best place for 13 to gain momentum, either. at the very least, i don't want 13 to be exclusive to nci. whether it means monthlies at sfsu or keystone or wherever, there has to be more than one place to play 13 if the scene is to grow. console release is gonna happen, it's just a matter of when. i want to see it through that 13 gets on the ncr roster.
  9. i get you. and i'm not entirely against the idea of 13 at nci, either. i just don't want it to only be at nci.
  10. i'll always have my 360 around for 98/02um casuals. i don't think an actual tournament is called for though, given how few people are interested in kof (and those that are want to play 13 anyways). personally, i'd really like to see a 13 scene in norcal. i'm planning on learning most of the roster just so i can teach people.
  11. sorry man, games have to look pretty and be all wide and aych-dee and shit for people to play them. and actually, i'm debating whether or not having 13 at nci is a good idea. i would really like the game to be at ncr, and i don't think nci is the place to make that happen.
  12. anyone want a free dualshock 2 pcb? first come, first serve.
  13. you have become an amazing poster. i mean that.
  14. when all of the youtube comments are about your commentary, you've done something right.
  15. i and many others have known about trm and the changes to throw break buffering since cs first came out. also, it doesn't make grabs any better against people that don't mash tech and learn to tech on reaction.
  16. the most played fighting game in america right now is ugly, boring and balanced.
  17. it's honestly rather hard to come up with much in common between the two. i guess you could say that gg sort of "feels" like bb when you first play it; even if they share similar mechanics (which is a stretch), the application of things like instant blocking, faultless/barrier defense, etc are all pretty different. the more you understand both games, the more you'll understand how different they are. the best way to figure it out is to just play for yourself. there's been accent core frame and system data here for years- use it to get a head start. edit: for the record, the complexity of gg is definitely overstated. the depth of gg, however, is rarely given the credit it deserves.
