I donno, I've never had any trouble with it. I generally know if I get hit by something, whether I am or am not going to the corner.. And I can generally tell if I am or am not gonna reach the corner with my character's combos, so I donno. qq more I guess.

You really telling me you have no graps of whether or not you're near the corner when you play on the training stage? I mean, I don't give any fucks about what's soft banned or hard banned or allowed, I don't really care about the game. In fact I agree with soft banning it, because if people feel like they have something to cry about, they will cry, and I'd rather not have to hear men cry like bitches. Even if it doesn't pertain to me, just being near it would annoy me. I'm just saying it's hard for me to believe you have 0 grasp for where you are in, relation to the corner just from your movement. Every stage is the same size, to my knowledge, how do you not know.

If you ahve 50 meter and he is on the ground, do wave super on reaction to chains. A cancel means you blew 50 meter for no reason, if you did yuki. Not worth it.

It's called tripguard. It has existed since SF2.

- Irrelevant - omfg, when you're moving forward, and the fucking screen stops scrolling, you're near the corner, that is hard bro, I totally agree. - IRRELEVANT though, I guess if soft ban would be ok, just to keep pussies from crying.

Basically All of this, except, generally there's no rules on stage select/music, we generally pick whatever they want. Rounds are usually 2/3 because in general tournaments here are played in a set of 2/3 games.. Having potentially 3 games that go all 5 rounds would drag that shit out forever, especially if it were double elim. AFAIK, there is no console advantage.. and as for DLC characters/Mu, that's to discression. Most tourneys are ok with home version characters though. Also, there's a typically unspoken rule that most tourneys stand by: the player who loses in grand finals (2nd place) sucks the winners dick in front of everyone. Not in a gay, or emasculating way or nothin.. Just out of respect. They usually raise the other guy's hand in victory after they whipe their chin off.

I LIKE WHERE THIS IS GOING

Agreed. Just not Blade. He's too stupid to be helped.

..

Why is Blade allowed to make threads, though, srsly?

I get what he means, my point he said reacting is overrated in strings you have not seen before. If you never saw the string, and don't know all the moves they gatling to overhead with, how do you block it BESIDES reacting, which is what you should do anyway.
-
yo shoutouts to the post quality of dustloop when blocking mixups is ADVANCED TACTICS
-
I believe he meant always block low and REACT to overheads. Never mind, your stupid never ceases to amaze me. If you have NOT seen certain block strings, how the fuck do you anticipate where the overhead is.. If someone is doing pressure strings you are unfamiliar with you HAVE to react to block the overhead, which is how you should be blocking most high low mixups anyway. Stuff that literally can't be reacted to, like certain fuzzy guard set ups and so forth excluded.

Yo, this is easily the most trollable thread in America, get at it.

Here is a matchu up chart that will please most people here. Character your little brother plays 7-3 Characters your less skilled friends play 6-4 Characters you are semi experienced with at your respective level of play 5-5 Characters your more skilled friends play 4-6 Characters you have little experience with/don't understand at higher levels of play - 3-7 Being as that's all 70% of people here base their opinions for match ups on anymore, anyway, we should just leave at that.

Information. Appreciated. On dustloop.

If you REALLY want this to happen, you should be trying to garner attention of those who developed GGPO, and attempt to get them to create a netcode for an emulator that runs more updated boards. ASW has stated they aren't particularly interested in porting GGAC to psn or xbl, let alone PC where it would only be pirated. A few hundred American signatures, really aren't going to mean much to them. This is basically just saying "Hey guys, we guarantee that if you do it, 120 people will download it.." You're looking at 1800 dollars if it were a 15 dollar download. What they'd have to pay to Sony just to put it on PSN would likely be more than 1800 dollars. Not counting the programmers they'd have to pay to do the port and netcode. Granted, I'm sure more people would buy it once it was put out, but, if in an online community of Arcsys fans with 14,000 some members, only 120 people signed for it, you aren't doing a very convincing job. If you could guarantee half of us here at DL are going to pay, you might be on to something, but, even then, it can't really be guaranteed to them. GGPO on the other hand just fucked out of a good deal of potential money by Capcom, who'd originally planned to have them do the netcode for SF4, and backed out at the last minute. They have something to prove. If they can see potential in gaining an even biggger player base by writing a netcode that runs with a worthy naomi/atomiswave etc emulator, and adding newer games, they may be willing to.. As increasing they numbers even further would only benefit them, if they want to try and pitch their netcode to a mainstream company.
