To follow up on this: If you find yourself hitting a button right as Bedman activates Sinusoidal Helios, the 8 frames of post-super freeze start-up is still enough to perform a Yellow Roman Cancel (which has 6 frames of start-up) on reaction to the super freeze. If you're close enough, you can use the buffer window during Roman Cancels to punish with HS Volcanic Viper. Otherwise you'll just have to block. Also of note: In corner combos, it's possible to land 5K(1) > 6P > slight delay 6HS after Kudakero on Bedman. The added pushback allows you to easily prep a meaty Gun Flame while remaining out of Sinusoidal Helios range.

No, it's not a cancel. You still have to return to neutral to enter Instant Kill Mode. Fafnir just has a pretty subtle recovery animation. I should add that the conclusion conditions that enable Instant Kill Mode (Gold) only occur during match point.

On that note, about a week ago I decided to test that bit of old speculation regarding Tension Balance maxing when Blitz Shielding a projectile specifically, and I observed that your Tension Gain rate does indeed skyrocket. Just go in Versus Mode, build up a bit of Tension, Blitz Shield some Stun Edges and then just dash. For a couple of seconds, it shoots up faster than in any other circumstance.

While I'm a little sad that it's not a straight-up All Star Battle 2, the overall presentation and the way they present Diego and Stroheim as new characters gives me the impression that CyberConnect2 are still very much onboard, even if the developer is listed as Bandai Namco Games. To clarify on the varying damage issue, yes, this has been a known mechanic for some time. Any attack that connects during the slowdown of any type of Roman Cancel (Mortal Counter slowdown is exempt) triggers 80% forced proration, so long as it's the person that initiated the slowdown. This proration will be inflicted even if a heavier proration is already in place (such as Roman Canceling a throw), but it only applies once per combo, so Roman Canceling a second time will not trigger an additional 80% forced proration. If you can bypass the slowdown, you can bypass the proration, so if you Roman Cancel a move that would otherwise be untechable (or close to it), you can simply wait out the slowdown before resuming the combo. Super freezes also automatically end slowdown. The bonus damage on wall stick is pretty interesting though. It seems to only apply to the unique multi-wall stick caused by a Dust Attack in corner.

As long as you've got dash momentum going into the 2P, hitting each next move in the sequence as the previous one completes should have the Bandit Revolver land every single time. And for those that are curious, there doesn't appear to be any bonus for S-ranking all missions, although I guess we won't know for certain until Leo is released along with Missions No.59 and No.60. It's nice to look at though.
