    [CT] Taokaka FAQs

    Hey, Carl has it worse.
  3. I've played several different styles of Rachael. My friend who scares the hell out of me by setting up lightning rods (no biggie, just zone him to death) and then winds over to me and cross ups using... I think C? Its where she comes straight down and her dress becomes a massive ass spike. He proceeds to go melee on me till his meter is good for distortion/forces me into the lightning rods/I knock him around. Other Rachaels are very good at zoning. Switching between a melee offensive to a defensive set up. They usually die with the latter. They try to limit themselves in the air. Otherwise every person who has Rachael on their card switches when they see my friends Tager d-card. So... I'm usually fighting a Jin. XP
  4. XBL: ShikiMSHTS I'll be on rarely since this is his game. Friends: Tager, Jin, Noel, Rachael. Me: Nu, Tao.
  5. Well, Nu gets two swords instead of one using drive. I don't know otherwise. *shot*
  6. Hey, don't know how this would work, but say you have 100 meter. Full and ready, your opponent is... who is for some reason, mid-screen. 236236D and he blocks it. What is useful at this point? 4DD into 236236D?
  7. Don't let her get a pole set up. It doesn't really do damage, but its annoying as hell once they do.

    [CT] ν-13 vs Noel

Hey, it ain't Tager taking off half life with two hits from buster. Well, you can definitely keep him at one side of the screen. My friends brother plays a decent Noel. He gets repetitive eventually, but he gives me an idea of what Noel can do. Her drives are a pain. If she starts using them, I barrier as a precaution and force her away for a little. Watch her low and high mix ups. Her 6B can go into 2/3C for a knockdown into Silencer or start a new game of "wtf will I do?" If they mash and use optic barrel, hit her hard. Actually, if they drive and you get away, hit em hard anyways. Their going to have to rush or jump. Just a matter of what to hit em with. Not like Noel has a good zoning tool. Watch her distortion drives. They hurt on CH. Especially the aerial version.
  9. If they surfboard normally, I like 5C'ing anyone. If its a jump into board... hm... I tend to 2C. Worked so far for me if not miss and eat it. It's face full of metal for them generally. Don't 5D/2D/whatever D like an idiot. Surfboard goes clean over it and you may miss if you don't predict correctly. If he tries to zone using icicle sword then jumping, jump and use your sword zoning. Or 5C. The sword will break the ice. Just watch for their follow-ups. From him to get close is a nightmare to deal with. I personally don't like this match up whatsoever. He's average fast (if not good, not Tao good, but still), decent safe attacks, and has some easy to do combos with good damage. It's a good match. I try to be patient and see what he'll do. A lot try to work freeze set ups, so if they get predictable. Smash em in good. A good Jin will try to be unpredictacle, rush, and freeze. Makes things really hard for me anyways.
  10. Are you spamming 5A? If your getting predictable, she will punish you. If your not, they may be a good player who on reaction is punishing you. Also at that, my friend usually mashes out his drive attacks (but knows which buttons he's pressing in order), so it could be coincidence that your just getting hit when your trying to hit them and they mess you over. Which Noel overhead are you referring to anyways? The flip kick drive?

    [CT] ν-13 vs Tager

Well, I don't think any Nu scrub can beat out a decent Tager. A new player who has no experience knowing Tager's attack properties, well, issues. But that's pretty obvious. I don't own the game, so input is nice anyways. And for new people coming in, I think this would help as well.
  12. For the laughs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYkzygue5HY Tager v. Tager. "I jump like tigger!"
  13. Noel drives are good. That's why their abused. You can kinda predict when the drive will come, its a matter of blocking correctly or getting away and set the matches pace. When a Noel uses her drive, its kind of saying "This is the pace I want to play at and have you scared." If you get intimidated (for good reason) then its game. She's good all-around generally, so i wouldn't blame you if you have a hard time. I know I do.
  14. :8/: Let's discuss a way to lock this guy down. My friend plays as him and so I have some experience against this magnetizing obsessed Potemkin. But - there is a limit to what I know since I don't own the game. BlazBlue has only been out for a few days stateside, but we're all learning pretty quick. :8/: V-13 is known for her extreme zoning abilities, decent speed, unblockables, her astral command, and other nifty tricks. Tager is considered lowest of the low. He is slow. Huge hitbox. Lacks projectiles unless you consider his electro-ball a projectile, and that needs to charge up. He lacks a many aerial options. However, he has sludge hammer and 6C which nullifies projectiles, a huge game plan of V-13's. If V-13 somehow is magnetized, a single hit into Tager buster is pretty much half of Nu's life down the drain. Options(?): 3C. Sweep him off his feet. He recovers, set him up. Vortex is also a major help. Keep him in place. Set him up. If he jumps, use your swords. If he is air dash chasing you, use 214C. Bounces and gets him away for another zoning game. If he is in your face and uses sludge hammer follow up, throw him. The timing between sludge hammers first, second, and third hits are slooooowww. Throw him in between to condition him. He may end up using basic pokes from that point. Tager buster/throw/special magnetic throw is extremely easy to tech out IMO. I dunno, I can't tech out as Tao but I can tech out like nothing with Nu. Fun. Time your projectiles in-between SH. Not a good option IMO. Nots: Do not use 5C/6C/or any zoning tools until you are a decent distance by any means - sludge hammer owns. My own experience says V-13 favoring once Tager is locked down and is conditioned not to use Sludge Hammer. That's all I know.:8/:
  15. Swipe with 2A. Either that or work with your long reach attacks such as 6C and 5C. At least its worked so far for me. She has invul on the starting frames of the drives and closes in damn fast so watch out. If she does close the distance, use your barrier. She'll push herself out and will have to use the gunblast drive, or she'll be in the middle of one of her attacks and you'll have some precious time to run away/backdash/get a hit in to stop her. Combo-wise, I'm a dead fish. I look to poke Noels and screw over the drive. Sorry I can't help much.
  16. I can only chip in so much. Tager match is interesting I think. They both excel upclose, him doing more dmg, but Tao is faster. She also has weird projectiles which really aren't good (as I've tried so far). He has that rush that nullifies projectiles. Tager board said Tao's 2A goes under Tag's 5A and 2A. Good for us. If he magnetizes Tao, she is in serious trouble. Although there are easy throw breaks breaks, if you mistime and he gets that 360 throw or POT-equivalent buster = heavy damage. Try to be unpredictable. If he can't block it, he is screwed. Do not use Double Hex. Use 236236D if he effs up. V-13. Get in her face. Her zoning is good, but not perfect like Ara's. She has poor upclose options. They knock you away for the msot part, but with tao's speed, I haven't had a problem... yet. 236236D is good. Ara. It's a pretty dominant match for him. He has a random factor, and the curse. I have yet to find a good counter. Got screwed over by a good amount of good Ara's the other day. Jin. Annoying as hell, but doable. His freeze setups are extremely dangerous IMO and he's good all-around. Your speed beats him out, but he seems to have a large variety of options for many situations. Don't know much else. Litchi. As I have only fought one, if she tosses the staff away and misses/whiffs/doesn't follow up properly, take advantage of it. She has some Ki attacks, sure, but they take time to charge up. If you get her in the corner, awesome. 236AxN in the corner worked freaking awesomely for me in that one match.

Well, the dust is whiffing considerably. Either that or he has horrible distancing/aim. Zappa's random.

if you 2H you can repeatedly shoot out 2H with proper timing or 5H. Really useful against those who like to tech ASAP and try to dash forward/backward and don't FD. As far as I've used it, it allows larger spacing. Or 2H and then 236 sword rush without the sword. You'll move forward, but your sword will have to catch up. You can't follow-up. Get ready to be punished! xD
  20. To use her 412 moves, you must be blocking, or block an attack. Blocking a string of attacks is easier IMO. 412D is also on guard. The blue ring is known as FRC. It takes away some of your tension gauge (the glowing bar on the bottom) but it allows an extension in combos. Be best if you read the basic guide and checked out the basic guide for Bacon that's in this forum as well. Also, her 412 moves have different properties. As you will learn. P is anti-air (some ground moves on CH can launch into the air as well). S is Sakura, a stab. Not very good by itself, but FRC'ed can allow nifty stuff. H is an overhead swipe. Useful for escaping but don't spam it. Launches enemies into the air CH. K is a run around. Useful if you don't use it often ---escapes and you can throw if your close enough.
  21. "Hey, I hit you two times and already evened the match!" XD

Wait so whats the reach for j.S and j.H and J.D because I must absolutely suck to be missing with these moves while in the air. I have to j.K to assure myself of getting the hit.
  25. A good player will pretty much block low for all fuujin set ups unless its hop (or FB) then they may try to punish you. I can't Fuujin~S my friend anymore because she's just afraid that I'll sweep her and go for a butterfly set up. So, I gotta go with Fuujin~P~IAD then trick her into thinking I'll P or S after Fuujin. You can't spam Fuujin~S. It's just stupid. Unless the other player isn't used to Anji. That's all I know.
