  1. The green tea is far beyond "really good", you must show it the proper respect :l But yes, thanks for bringing it. I think I'm personally responsible for downing like 1/3 of the pack (there was 1 left when I left MH =x ) Aaannnd I believe it was Ky-Sama who surprised the hell out of me by pulling out I-No. The mirrors were interesting, to say the least. Made me feel even more like a slacker than I already do, pulling out almost as many characters as Brian, while I'm still stuck with the same three =T On that note, your Chipp's gotten a lot better, Brian; caught me completely off guard with all the new shit. I kinda miss those hype 20+ hit j.K combos though. And GGs to everyone else I played. It amused me how I almost had a revolving door of people wanting games.
  2. If green tea is brought, I can personally guarantee that I will down the lot of it if nobody else does. However, bringing soda is an excellent way to ensure I don't touch the drinks since I don't indulge in the stuff.
  3. There's online play, but the way it was implemented is pretty meh. PSP2i is fixing that somewhat, but it'll be at least 6-8 months before that comes to the US. Doesn't hurt me much since I don't like to gamble on randoms, and usually play offline mode or solo through multiplayer.
  4. It's a very grindy game, so don't get it if you don't like that kind of thing. Character customization is probably the best in any game ever though. I actually didn't mind it. While some don't like the implementation, you can't skip it since there's a lot of storyline locked in that disc.
  5. It depends on the Phantasy Star game. PSU/PS:P weren't much like MH at all since you had no control over defensive outside of positioning, and nothing in the game was a real threat except attacks that could proc death. PS:P2 is more like MH in that almost everything can rape the shit out of you if you don't know what you're doing, but it gets easier faster depending on your class/race and how quickly you can adapt to enemies and utilize rolling/guarding. As for gear; yeah, you bind skills to your weapons. One skill to a melee weapon. Ranged weapons only have adjustable ammo that passively enhances shots (normally element in PSU/PS:P), but PS:P2 added charged shots which are used for breaking chains and inflicting heavier damage, type of shot (splash, penetrating, multi-hit, etc.) varies with weapon. 2-4 spells bound to a casting weapon depending on what you use (wands/t-mags get 2, rods get 4), but you don't need access to your entire repertoire at once since the average mission only has enemies of 2-3 elements. Spells have different traits and utility uses (single hit, ranged AoE, AoE around caster, penetrating, knocks down, blows away, homing, etc.), but are the weakest overall option in PS:P2 due to clashing with the new battle mechanics. Fixed in the expansion though, where they're looking pretty godlike.
  6. I don't have a 360, nor was I inclined at all to have to restart from scratch. PSP2 is a pretty amazing step forward though, and PSP2i is looking even better.
  7. You just reminded me and made me incredibly sad. But then, PS:P2 is pretty amazing.
  8. CT Litchi was mid, ABA was somewhere around mid-high last I checked.
  9. I'm not all about GG; I like MB, SC2, Melee, IaMP (though I'm probably terrible), and would like to have a reason to actually play EFZ. Would play Tekken, but I still don't have a system for T6 or whatever they're on now. I'm also not above having fun with poverty crap like DoA and KoF:MI. I think the only reason I'd rather play F/UC most of the time is because it's almost impossible to get anyone else to play it; so on the occasion I can find someone willing, I gotta jump on it.
  10. D ball P ball 5P, HS ball P ball 5P. Rinse and repeat, see how long it takes people to get through it :V
  11. I don't really care about that, my issues are with the game itself. CS Litchi is a symptom, not the cause.
  12. CT Arakune would've been perfectly fine if he couldn't curse on block.
  13. So this is what happens when they put more focus on making the game "fun". Nice. Seems they still have no fucking idea how to balance Arakune.
  14. Would be one of the other seven "sisters", but only Lucifer is playable, and she's all business. I'll likely play Ange and if Jessica is available (still 2 characters that haven't been revealed last I checked), her. Otherwise, I guess Lucifer or Siesta 410. Maybe Virgilia.
  15. Yep. Amazingly, I haven't forgotten everything despite only having really played once in I don't know how many months, but yeah. Tomorrow should be interesting, to say the least.
  16. Grinding that training mode. Gotta remember how this game is played.
  17. I think there's a small colony who play online, but they were hating on Will's Shiori pretty hardcore just because he actually put time into learning the game, so I don't know if it'd be worth getting involved with them.
  18. I am embittered because BB killed the GG scene here for a long time. It's great that GG is being played more now, but I remember the one time I went down to Rubens, that GG setup only existed because I was there :l I got bored with BB, and the game has some flaws that I really can't stand. I play other games though. MBAA, and would play F/UC (lol) and like...EFZ (lol) or IaMP more if people here actually played them. Or SC2. Or even DoA (it's fun; not good, but fun), or KoF:MI (loool). Maybe MvC2, but I'm not sure I want to put the effort into relearning all the crap for that one.
  19. I'd much rather see the thread title go with "Hot Male Hookups", or something dinner-plan related =T
  20. Yeah, according to Dan, GG is still on for next weekend. Also, Chipp tourney. We can stream it and show the rest of the world how pro we are.
  21. This one's better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUViQm6fUcI
  22. That's not what you said after playing my F-Akiha =(
  23. The question is, did you work for that score, or did you just start the game and let it run?
  24. I don't quite follow this; generally having more experience against someone seems to make you more tense, since you know the person's style and worry too much about eating things you know you shouldn't/normally wouldn't eat and stuff. At least that's the impression I get from the inevitable matches we seem to have in like...every fucking GG tourney we both attend. Especially that one at UAT
  25. As much as it pains me to say it, I approve. =_=
