  1. Is j.C jump cancelable, or am I supposed to wait for it to finish, then jump?
  2. Hey Tao, you forgot to list me as a driver. Despite only having a 2-seater, you never know when you'll need room for just one more, right? ^^;
  3. Feel free to add my house for mini-gatherings (limit 5 ppl, not including myself). I can also be a driver for myself plus 1 person, assuming I can actually make the event. I know it's not much, but I figured I'd at least offer.
  4. Ugh, I got infinite'd today off a DEFENSIVE BURST from Carl as he was about to die. FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWK! I've been playing 2 really good Carls online, HairyBalls and DjFoodStamp, both know their stuff really well and constantly destroy me. All I can really suggest is to be excessively careful for low hits, as a single poke (2B) can send you into an infinite. Try varying the timing of your throw escapes and you might be lucky enough to throw off his timing.
  5. Oh, well.... nevermind then...
  6. I need to find the video where I saw it, but I wanted to mention that it looks like 6A got MUCH faster. Edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjAf5ftmYCA at 2:38 Hmm... not as fast as I thought, but it does still look faster than the CT version.
  7. I have a stupid question. I keep finding myself landing a 5B > 5C at near-max range and then having no clue what to follow up with. Does anything combo from this?
  8. I have a few questions that hopefully you guys can help me with. Many time I fight a Nu that whiffs a move and I really REALLY want to punish it, but I always end up eating a CH as i attempt to do so. Moves like 5CCCCCC, 2C, or 6C. It just never seems like there's time to punish them once the move is already out. Any ideas?
  9. Just a quick note... stop using 6C on shielded opponents! D: It's very prone to punishment, unless you're intentionally baiting them for a DP or something else. You have some nice moves though I do see several dropped combos. I'm guilty of all the above myself as well. ^^; (The trap is pretty cool and should be good to use when they're not expecting it)
  10. Hm, I'm at a bit of a loss for what to do against crouching blocking opponents then, other than to throw in some 6B and try to peck at their guard libra. D:
  11. Quick question for you guys. I'm really having using j.B in blockstrings. For example: 5BB, 5C, j.B, ... I can't seem to get j.B to land on anyone but Tager when they crouch. Is my timing off, or does it only work on standing opponents?
  12. Thanks for all your work on this, royko! We've been very curious on the Jin boards, can you please describe how Jin's j.236D and 236C work now? (Specifically the angles the projectiles are sent at.)
  13. They nerfed B-musou. No longer knocks down and gives a slight disadvantage on hit.
  14. Ran into what I think is a glitch vs Ragna. This happened to me a few times and cost me a match. I froze him in the air with j.D, and his freeze animation was different, and lower. It caused my 5a to whiff as if he was in a crouching state while frozen, then I ate a DP as he broke out. I think he was in that mode triggered from one of his specials.
  15. I guess the only good use would be if you could combo into it from a longer string, that way you effectively negate the pro-ration you'd receive if you did a special instead, making it more damaging that using your supers instead. I tried strings like 5b, 5c, j.b, j.c, j,d, AH, but you can break out too easily.
  16. I was curious if anyone ever bothered working AH into their game. I was messing around in training mode and found that you can get a guaranteed combo off his forward throw if you cancel just as he tosses the opponent off the ground. You can also get an almost guaranteed combo off a string such as: 5b, 5c, j.b, j.c, j.d, AH Granted... I'd be much more tempted to use his heat gauge throughout the match instead of hoarding it up in the off-chance of landing an AH, but I was curious to hear the thoughts of the more experiences Jins here.
  17. Don't air-tech while magnetized. <3
  18. Don't worry Darcius, I got the joke. ;D
  19. Ohhh, I see! Until now I thought whiff cancel was something you could do if you missed that attack and somehow still cancel it. I was so confused. xD Thanks for clearing that up.
  20. When I try to IB I backdash. X_X By the way, is it possible to interrupt that overhead flip/kick of hers? (6a or 6b, i don't know which it is) I keep wanting to poke her before or after it hits, but it never works. I guess it would be better to IB and 623a?
  21. What exactly is a whiff cancel?
  22. I first picked Noel because she looks cool, I enjoy her playstyle, and her basics were easy to pick up. But then I switched when I got frustrated at how little range she has for starting moves, and how incredibly difficult it is to do any sort of mixup or pressure with her. (Yes, I stopped spamming D) Then I moved to Jin because he goes even with the top 3. He's fun.
  23. I have one word to contribute to this thread: AAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!! That is all... ;_; Helpful advice so far though... I'll try my best to make use of it. I really don't want to feel like i need to change characters because I'm sorely disadvantaged against the most used/best character.
  24. Sorry for the noob question, but what is dj? I can't find it anywhere in the notation guide...
  25. What a surprising thing to hear... I can see the Gamecube and Wii as failure systems... My Gamecube became a melee-box, while my Wii became almost completely unused due to the flood of super-casual shallow-as-a-puddle shovelware that fills the market with barely any quality games to redeem the Wii... but the N64 was friggin awesome. D:
