  1. Bored in class, so some fan-art for this thread. Computer sketch in color this time. I suck at coloring so I'm starting to practice this shit. The picture isn't really complete. I just stopped when I got tired of looking at it.
  2. Pistol Whipping Flatchest Dunce vs Fisticuffs Underboob Dunce. This thread had to be made so I went ahead and made it. Honestly have no idea what to think yet. Pretty sure Makoto will end up shitting on Noel (since that's not hard to do unless your Tsubaki or Rachel) but my experience vs Makoto hasn't been frustrating thus far. Granted, I've only played against a Makoto that had an idea of what a combo was once, randomly while playing in a room with a friend. Bitch had just came out and I had no idea what to look for when I fought her. Of course things have changed since then in terms of my knowledge of the character, but I still haven't gotten the chance to fight another one now that I know what she can do. Anyone else more experienced have any input?

  4. Abuse the shit out of your 5A, jA, jB, and grab D spam happy Bangs since it's free damage because they won't be able to break it. Your normals out priorities the majority of what he has. One issue with Noel in this match up is dealing with knockdown considering Bang's options vs yours in that situation. I find myself just blocking on wake up.

  10. It was her counter-assault. It's a universal mechanic but not everyone's counter assault do the same thing. Noel's acts as an assault through without attacking after the evasion maneuver.

  12. Yeah, the match was rated either 6:4 or 5.5:4.5, Nu's favor. I know it was debated for a bit. Not that bad a match up, but still annoying. v-13's a bitch regardless.

  15. So the loop is overall easier to execute in CS? Also, I always did 3 separate inputs whenever I did the loop (2-2-C). Never gave it thought to input the C and last 2 input in at the same time.
  16. Ideal, but not worth eating a counter hit from Haku-men's j.C, thus using 6A instead would be good for the head invulnerability. As for Noel's 3C, competent Noel players won't use that move for mix-up alone unless they've trained you to try and do something after a blocked string into and ending with 2C (6C > 2C) or they have meter to cancel it.

  18. First off, these aren't sprites. These are 3D models. Secondly, uh...no shit? You're comparing 360/PS3 graphics to the Wii. What the hell would you expect? Of course they are going to shit over TvC's. Anyway, Zero looks bad-ass.   19. It seems every time I fight a decent Ragna my brain melts as all my normals that aren't 5A or 6A get beat out. Ran into one online today while playing player matches to kill some boredom. We went back and forth and the matches were close, but he wrecked me none the less. Ragna: "You're running at me? 5B, GTFO. Lol, you trying to 3C under what you thought was going to be another 5B? Eat 5C CH. IAD? Meet 6A. Block string hole? SHORYU...errr yeah. You in the corner, I have meter, and you don't? Lol, hope you know how and when to IB. Otherwise, time to pop that cherry and finish you off." From my experience, Ragna has plenty of ways to keep Noel honest in her rushdown with his DP and superior range. So much so that you really can't rush him down as well as he can rush you down, IMO. I find this match up just deals a lot with just baiting moves out from Ragna for him to fuck up so you can start your offense and/or do some damage. If you bait out and block a ID and the Ragna has no meter to RC it, for all that is holy punish with CH 6C > 5D > 6C > 214A > 2B> 6C > j.B > j.C > j.236C. That's 4k+ worth of damage off one punishment and considering Ragna's low health, that hurts like a bitch for him. 6A > [6C > BC loop] > Drive Juggle is another punishment option but it's not nearly as damaging. However, I do find it somewhat a bit easier to land in most situations. My main issue with this match-up is getting out of pressure once I'm in it. I block but all that leads to is getting guard crushed or draining barrier so I'm in danger. I need to practice IBing and learn when to IB at the right times. I can't handle that rushdown for shit once I'm in it. Does she have any option out of it other than counter assaulting? EDIT: @Kronikhall: Punishing Hells Fang when Ragna doesn't do the follow up is risky because it's a frame trap for his DP. Thus, he can keep you honest in attempting to punish him for doing it. I'd say either just back dash if you IB'd the first hit or just continue blocking. If you notice him just outright using it as a scare tactic and never IDing after doing it, then I suppose you can punish him for it with 5A > 6A > [6C BC] loop > Drive Juggle or 6C > 2C > 236236D if you have the meter and think it will kill him.

  22. Nu v Noel feels more like 5.5:4.5 Nu so I agree with the chart in that regard. Only because it's easier for Nu to escape from Noel than it is for Noel to get in on Nu. The only match up I kinda don't agree with is Noel vs Tao. I believe that one is even. Don't see how it's in Tao's favor.
  23. Topic revival; Been playing a few Nu's lately and I've come to the conclusion that back dashing is utterly worthless in this match up. Back dashing = eating a 5D sword. If I'm ever dashing in this match up, it's a forward dash and if I need to block I cancel my dash with barrier. Another thing I find that is good to do is to super jump or delay your double jumps here and there to make Nu have to guess which anti-air sword to use. Delayed double jumping is also good to bait out Nu's 2C anti-air when you're close to her. Something I need to work on is IBing the second D in her 5DD so I can dash out and if she ends up whiffing her 4D, she's getting fucked up.
