Even just being there for top 8 & bringing the hype was appreciated. BB top 8 was so much quieter after that. =P If you didn't enter this month, I expect you to enter next month. kthxbye Thanks to everyone who helped me run brackets. It was pretty crazy trying to run two brackets with crazy overlap with themselves and the other two tourneys. Major thanks to a few people, and Jeff & Alex especially for helping me get sets going. ggs to everyone I played & good times as always.

I'll have my 360 & if I'm not using it at the time, I guess you can use it. However, there are a lot of reasons why it might not be worth it: 1. I don't have a monitor for it. Mine will be used for an AH3 setup. 2. No one has a 360 stick. Maybe 3 guys have dual nodded sticks, but that's not a whole lot. 3. I don't have DLC. I also don't think I'll have a connection to XBL to update the game if there is any patches. With that in mind, I'll keep the 360 in my car. Hit me up if the conditions seem reasonable for setting it up.
-
BB or AH3? I'll have my 360 w/AH3 on me, but I may or may not set it up depending on whether there's demand and/or I get another display for it.

Cinderella Express is my new YT account that will focus on primarily AH3, but I'm planning to upload some other stuff that we play, probably @Jiang's. This can be Senko no Ronde DUO, Ougon Musou Kyoku, Galgun, etc. It'll probably be, like, 80% AH3, 20% misc poverty. I actually was gonna wait until I upped all the vids of Clocktower before posting about it, but I guess it's already out there.
-
Make sure you have DLC colors for AH3! Otherwise, I can't play my palett. ; ; If needed, Jiang, Brett, & I have them on our systems.
-
It was good seeing so many people entering AH3! I was totally expecting a 7ish-man round robin. ^^; ggs to everyone I played.

I'm gonna voice for, what appears to be, the minority here & say that I like SJSU. That's cause I'm always part of the crowd that stays until, like, 3AM. I like playing random games like Katamari at 2AM.
-
Take your pick: http://ncsx.com/ http://play-asia.com http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=english I'm getting it from NCSX.

I realize that the types of displays we run will be dependent on what we have at the event. I'm actually assuming that most will be HD. But the main tourney and streaming setups should be SD, IMO.

Japan is playing arcade only. They never play console versions seriously.
-
Not sure about "during its testing," but AH3 arcade was on Examu's eX-BOARD. It ran in SD on a CRT. Paikman of east coast owns an eX-BOARD & AH3 and he has been bringing it to various, mostly EC, events. I played on it @Evo.

If people don't mind Oratan for DC, I already have a DC twinstick. All I'd have to do is get another DC twinstick or a Saturn twinstick+adaptor, which I hear works pretty well, and we can get something going. I also have two copies of JP Oratan. So, if people are willing to play on DC, I'd just have to buy another stick & track down a DC link cable. If people only want 360, I'll consider making a project out of modding a Saturn twinstick for 360.

AH3 was created as a SD game. I am actually more inclined to run it on CRTs than HDTVs. It's not like we'll be playing it in the new 16:9 mode. And the new animated borders are stupid.
-
I am certain that we will have the means to run at least 3 AH3 setups. Probably more. I'm sure at least one of those setups, probably twoish, will be available for casuals throughout the day. Also, just gonna remind everyone that I intend to run the AH3 brackets. I may need someone to help me call people to play their sets, but I'm sure that'll be easy enough to work out at the tourney.
-
Everyone get ready for some Ougon Musou Kyoku!!
-
Not asking you to do any of the SD stream, I'm just wondering how that works. The Hauppauge HDPVR has composite/s-video-in in front & the Black Magic Intensity has an analog input adaptor that it should come with.
-
Needless to say, I'd rather that we try to continue running MB if possible. It's one of the few regular MB events in America & probably the only thing that keeps Norcal MB active. If it becomes prohibitively difficult after we introduce the other games, then we can talk about it. I'd vote for a "people-who-don't-play-GG-GG-tourney." Then I might be able to get somewhere meaningful. =P
-
I intend to take both games pretty seriously, so I'm all for this. If needed, I can make brackets for these games in addition to the usual MB.
-
Yeah, I got my HDPVR repaired. You just have to convince them that it failed under standard operating conditions. & yes, I have my component splitter. I'll just keep it in my car in case we need it.

If anyone is banking on me streaming this event, it depends on whether ASUS can get my laptop back to me in time. They're taking their sweet time.

I understand the desire to be fair about venue location, but to be honest, planning for Concord or Davis sounds like a bad idea to me. The majority of the NCI crowd is from the lower part of the bay and so I think it makes complete sense that we've been planning primarily for south bay or slightly up the east bay/peninsula. I think going further up the east bay/north bay is a step towards being more fair, but I'm not sure if it's the most reasonable choice when it might noticeably affect attendance. I'll probably end up going to wherever it is though.
