He is! That's because he's got the entire MTL crew behind him to boost him up. Best NA Plat by end of 2013, you heard it here first! :bad: -

I can confirm that invulnerability as I was playing matches last night and doing Bite with Slayer on wakeup was whiffing all the time. So yes, it seems there is a period of invuln on wakeup. -

GGs, yo! I'm still learning GG, so I hope you'll forgive all that scrubby play. I keep dropping combos like nothing. xD Anyway, glad to finally have played your Ky. Zoning/spacing me like that is probably the only way to not get hit by retarded Slayer damage. -

Oh Eb... GET GG ON PS3 TOO!!1! :O Local connections are amazingly good. We should be quite decent even though you're South Shore. -
Eb, my connection with Dioxide was good as I recall last we'd played. Bit of lag, but playable.

Heresy, Bibi! Also, Dark/Demon's Souls are unfortunately a lot less hard once you've learned how to play the games. That doesn't stop them from occasionally being frustrating, though. -

Good sir! Dark Souls is no MMO; it's simply an excellent RPG with large sets. While not on the scale of an MMO, it's still fairly expansive by RPG standards. It's also quite simply a darn good game with a great atmosphere. I doubt you'd regret at least trying it! -
We have a local guy who makes I-No's and Johnny's stuff look easy as pie. Surprised you'd say that about Slayer. I'm going nuts trying to learn his more advanced stuff. Every hit feels like a link that needs to be timed for all the differences in character attributes...

Happy New Year to all. Here's to 2013 being another great year! -
So, I've been wondering. Who in GG requires the highest execution? Bit of a fun Q to alleviate some of GG's higher execution requirement. Of course, that can be average execution, top-end optimal play, beginner-friendliness, etc. Personally, I've found GG's cast to be surprisingly mash-friendly depending on the character. Everything just combos into everything, so you can face roll all the buttons and you'll get a 4-5 hit combo or something. Beginners like that. On the other end, the execution required to be competitive can vary widely. I find HOS is more or less easy to combo with. Slayer isn't quite so forgiving. Etc. What are y'all thoughts?

Haku is the most legit character in BB, in any version. Y'all haters. :< -
For Slayer 6p, that is indeed his hitbox and not hurtbox, correct? If the former, it would be a slight nerf, I think. Bite's risk/reward was shuffled a bit. More reward for landing it, riskier if it whiffs. I like that.

Ok, so. Who's going to Foonzo tomorrow (today)? I'm angling for some button-pressing! -

S'all pringles, then! Some call me Sophist, as in Sophist the Cat. My Magnum Opus is Sophist, I, Cat, a metaphorical take on life, art, and the meaning of it all. Available in hardcover at the low, low price of $99.99. -

You can add me, Mr. Live Wire the Xth. Frankly, netplay connections vary. I've had some great 1s, and some poor 4s. It all depends. You never know until you actually play. :\ -

I must be too used to netplay, then. Then again, I have found my tolerance for lag to diminish ever since I've been going to Foonzo more regularly... -

Luffy why are you such a g? This fishman arc is sick, I finished most of the arc during August, but downloaded the last 10 or so eps left of it. I fucking love this show, too funny and too smart. favourite character is by far Brook, I've never seen a character that is as perverted as I am lol "Pantsu wa mii sette yoroshi desu ka?". The mango is even better! By far the best shonen out there today. This is one of the sickest shows I've watched in recent memory. I honestly don't know why I keep watching, but I can't drop it at the same time. I do think its narrative suffers in that it tries to validate its own premise by trying to be taken seriously. That is its one serious flaw, and would otherwise be an outstanding show. It's still vintage Production IG and gives off them delicious Ghost in the Shell vibes for us GitS fans. I can;'t believe my in-law's got me a scarf for Christmas, that's basically saying "yea... we have no idea what you like so here's this scarf :3". I hate scarves but luckily I don't care about gifts and all that shit since I'm such a nihilist. :O WE MUST PRESS BUTTONS. Mac, you reading this? Come to the light, my friend. Everyone's free after the holidays. We need a meetup to get back into shape. Fixed! I really don't think it's that bad most times... -

Err... Sounds like you should just have a more positive attitude? Also, winning is not a right. You sound entitled to winning. It's a privilege to those who can figure out their opponent's patterns. People evolve and learn, so of course it's going to be hard to win. Maybe you just need to reflect on what it means to win consistently?
